Yep. Because recently there's no interesting topic to talk about I guess...Did a whole hour seriously just pass without anyone posting here?
Yveltal and Xerneas sounds already broken. So, new Pokémon were revealed?
Like Pancham's evo. Super badass AND adds Dark-type. Fighting/Dark isn't a bad type combo at all.
The squids are awesome and have a unique typing. Not bad.
Yveltal being Dark/Flying already settles which version I choose: Y. I already liked his design better than Xerneas, so I already decided on picking up Pokémon Y.
As for today's SSB4 picture... It's cool, but a little boring.
I know I'm late, but I bet on a pic of Mega Man or Bowser, so, does that mean I win?
Just a bit longer to wait for the new pic.
Hmmm... Lucario gets more powerful the more his ratio is higher (aka the more he's hurt). If Mewtwo hopefully makes it as a character, maybe he could access his awakened form if he reached a specific ratio (ex: 110%). Which ultimately makes him much more stronger.Either way, its starting to look like his awakened form can only be used if he's hurt. Not sure about that though. Could just be something he can do at will.
I'm betting that those are vacant pokeballs though. Perhaps Mewtwo doesn't want Pokemons to be mastered by Humans, another reason might exist. Any thoughts?Regardless of how he changes...
Crushing pokeballs. Badass.
Nah. The pokemon were being used by a bad guy for evil things. He emptied the pokeballs and then crushed them so the bad guy couldn't use them for evil. Mewtwo was fine with the heroes of the episode. I think he's mainly a hero fighting evil at this point which is cool. I've always liked it when villains become heroes.I'm betting that those are vacant pokeballs though. Perhaps Mewtwo doesn't want Pokemons to be mastered by Humans, another reason might exist. Mewtwo is certainly my favorite Pokemon and always will be. Seeing him back in the Pokemon scene makes me happy, and especially that he's the hero now. Furthermore, his relevance to the series has scaled back up, and we all know what that means to the Smash community .Nah. The pokemon were being used by a bad guy for evil things. Agreed. Despite the Dragonball canon having its fair share of glaring faults, I liked that almost every single supporting character except Master Roshi and the Saiyan Kids were villains at some point in the series. Aside from the way the series depicted the passing of time, this was arguably was one of the strongest things about the series overall.Nah. The pokemon were being used by a bad guy for evil things. Yeah. I liked him before, but reverse sounds incredible.Holy crap
The new squid Pokémon called Māīka (マーイーカ) is a Dark/Psychic-type Pokémon. It is considered the Spinning Pokémon. Its Abilities are Contrary and Suction Cups. It has the new Dark-type move Reverse, which reverses all of the enemy's status increases and decreases. It has the description: "By switching on and off the lights on the luminous body above its eyes, it deceives its opponent."
I like this pokemon
How so?It's a shame the adventure mode won't be like the SSE
It'll be fun to use that on Pokemon with Contrary. They think all their status decreases will become increases and then SIKE! Becomes a decrease again.Holy crap

IIRC, at lot of development time was put into the SSE when it shouldn't have been. That could've gone to better designing the game. How so?
Wonder if it will get through stuff like big pecksIt'll be fun to use that on Pokemon with Contrary. They think all their status decreases will become increases and then SIKE! Becomes a decrease again.
Was the decision to eliminate SSE as an adventure mode finalized?IIRC, at lot of development time was put into the SSE when it shouldn't have been. That could've gone to better designing the game.
I'm reffering to the plot and cutscenes, and the bosses and everything. Brawl's SSE was poorly executed, and I was hoping they would do something like it for Smash 4, but with more thought put into it. Then I heard that the adventure mode wasn't planned to be like Brawls, it kind of disappointed me.Was the decision to eliminate SSE as an adventure mode finalized?
Where did you hear that? Then I heard that the adventure mode wasn't planned to be like Brawls, it kind of disappointed me.
There was a post about it somewhere.Where did you hear that?
Yes, Sakurai said that they won't be doing an SSE scaled Adventure Mode a while back. This is something they'd have to finalize early on.Was the decision to eliminate SSE as an adventure mode finalized?
That's a good decision in my opinion. After all, you only experience the adventure mode for a couple of days/weeks. Focusing on the core game mechanics is much better and will pay off for Smash 4 in the long run.Yes, Sakurai said that they won't be doing an SSE scaled Adventure Mode a while back. I was thinking something similar. Each character gets their own storyline, the stages and characters fought are different for each one. The cutscenes are still present, but the story is shorter (around the length of Melee's adventure mode) and while the different stories may intersect with each other at times, they are not all fully connected and there is no main antagonist behind the events of every single story. There's a different villain for each story, and in some cases they may really be doing a good thing, it's always just something the protagonist doesn't like. This is just my fantasy, I doubt it'd happen, but it'd be cool if Adventure mode was kinda Megaman like (watered down). Depending on what character you choose, you have a choice of 4 different stages based on franchises to go to, I.E. Mario franchise would have Mushroom Kingdom as a stage, Sonic franchise might have Green Hill Zone as a stage, Kirby franchise might have Dreamland as a stage, etc. You'd fight that franchise's enemies and at the end either a boss or a character from the franchise itself. And inbetween each stage, you can get stuff like Grab The Trophies, Board The Platform, Race To The Finish, Break The Targets. Of course, final stage would be to fight Master Hand and/or Crazy Hand.
Only thing I'm not sure of is how you decide which characters would get what stages as an option.
I hate games that force you to practice for weeks and weeks if it's not a fighting game or are just dickishly hard at times. I just wanna play the game, relax, get through ti already and move on to the next one. I hate playing one game for too long unless I REALLY like it a lot.Speaking of core:
