So, new Pokémon were revealed?
Like Pancham's evo. Super badass AND adds Dark-type. Fighting/Dark isn't a bad type combo at all.
The squids are awesome and have a unique typing. Not bad.
Yveltal being Dark/Flying already settles which version I choose: Y. I already liked his design better than Xerneas, so I already decided on picking up Pokémon Y.

As for today's SSB4 picture... It's cool, but a little boring.
Yveltal and Xerneas sounds already broken.
Fairy Aura/Dark Aura + STAB + Life Orb+ Swords Dance/Nasty Plot = New Tier above Über.

Pancham looks pretty boss.

New pokemon? *checks em out* WHY DO I LIKE THE NEW FAIRY TYPE POKEMON SO MUCH, THAT COTTON CANDY GUY LOOKS HILARIOUS XD And also the squid... cool new typing and all but it seems random to give that typing to a squid XD and it's not a water type because... Well because stunfisk was ground/electric so I guess it works.

So we got episode pics on a new Mewtwo episode from the anime.

http://www.serebii.net/anime/pictures/specials/031.shtml

Look at Mewtwo, being badass, crushing pokeballs.

Either way, its starting to look like his awakened form can only be used if he's hurt. Not sure about that though. Could just be something he can do at will.

Hmmm... Lucario gets more powerful the more his ratio is higher (aka the more he's hurt). If Mewtwo hopefully makes it as a character, maybe he could access his awakened form if he reached a specific ratio (ex: 110%). Which ultimately makes him much more stronger.

I'm betting that those are vacant pokeballs though. Perhaps Mewtwo doesn't want Pokemons to be mastered by Humans, another reason might exist. Any thoughts?

Nah. The pokemon were being used by a bad guy for evil things. He emptied the pokeballs and then crushed them so the bad guy couldn't use them for evil. Mewtwo was fine with the heroes of the episode. I think he's mainly a hero fighting evil at this point which is cool. I've always liked it when villains become heroes.

Mewtwo is certainly my favorite Pokemon and always will be. Seeing him back in the Pokemon scene makes me happy, and especially that he's the hero now. Furthermore, his relevance to the series has scaled back up, and we all know what that means to the Smash community ;).

Agreed. Despite the Dragonball canon having its fair share of glaring faults, I liked that almost every single supporting character except Master Roshi and the Saiyan Kids were villains at some point in the series. Aside from the way the series depicted the passing of time, this was arguably was one of the strongest things about the series overall.

Holy crap
The new squid Pokémon called Māīka (マーイーカ) is a Dark/Psychic-type Pokémon. It is considered the Spinning Pokémon. Its Abilities are Contrary and Suction Cups. It has the new Dark-type move Reverse, which reverses all of the enemy's status increases and decreases. It has the description: "By switching on and off the lights on the luminous body above its eyes, it deceives its opponent."

I like this pokemon

I'd actually like to see Mewtwo's new form in a Final Smash. (not that I know what powers it has in that state)

It's a shame the adventure mode won't be like the SSE, theres so much they could have done for the characters.

It'll be fun to use that on Pokemon with Contrary. They think all their status decreases will become increases and then SIKE! Becomes a decrease again.

IIRC, at lot of development time was put into the SSE when it shouldn't have been. That could've gone to better designing the game.
Was the decision to eliminate SSE as an adventure mode finalized?

I'm reffering to the plot and cutscenes, and the bosses and everything. Brawl's SSE was poorly executed, and I was hoping they would do something like it for Smash 4, but with more thought put into it. Then I heard that the adventure mode wasn't planned to be like Brawls, it kind of disappointed me.

The Subspace Emmisary wasn't a bad idea. It was just very poorly executed, and took way too much development time.

SSE was okay but definitely not worth the time that was poured into it. Looking back on everything Sakurai had to deal with, I'm surprised Brawl turned out as good as it did. The Wii's online infrastructure was garbage and the SSE and the Dojo were huge distractions in the development process. With these in mind, that is why I have significantly higher expectations for SSB4.

This is just my fantasy, I doubt it'd happen, but it'd be cool if Adventure mode was kinda Megaman like (watered down). Depending on what character you choose, you have a choice of 4 different stages based on franchises to go to, I.E. Mario franchise would have Mushroom Kingdom as a stage, Sonic franchise might have Green Hill Zone as a stage, Kirby franchise might have Dreamland as a stage, etc. You'd fight that franchise's enemies and at the end either a boss or a character from the franchise itself. And inbetween each stage, you can get stuff like Grab The Trophies, Board The Platform, Race To The Finish, Break The Targets. Of course, final stage would be to fight Master Hand and/or Crazy Hand.

Only thing I'm not sure of is how you decide which characters would get what stages as an option.

I was thinking something similar. Each character gets their own storyline, the stages and characters fought are different for each one. The cutscenes are still present, but the story is shorter (around the length of Melee's adventure mode) and while the different stories may intersect with each other at times, they are not all fully connected and there is no main antagonist behind the events of every single story. There's a different villain for each story, and in some cases they may really be doing a good thing, it's always just something the protagonist doesn't like.

Speaking of core:
I hate games that force you to practice for weeks and weeks if it's not a fighting game or are just dickishly hard at times. I just wanna play the game, relax, get through ti already and move on to the next one. I hate playing one game for too long unless I REALLY like it a lot.

With that said, **** Street Fighter X Megaman. I'm hating that game's **** moves so hard right now. I just started I yesterday, but I can't seem to beat Vega at all. XD;

Going back to Adventure Mode, I'd actually love it if it was on the scale of SSE's in terms of length. It just needs to have more depth and more iconic things from all the franchises the characters are from this time, like Melee's Adventure Mode.

But all in all, I liked SSE. :3

I would rather have Adventure Mode 2 than SSE 2.
If Adventure Mode had character specific run through, that would be pretty ideal for me.

Example:
Let's say you pick Mario, he first starts off in a Mario themed level → Yoshi themed level → Kirby themed level → Donkey Kong themed level.
(Each of these environments will be different, the Mario themed level could be a typical Super Mario Bros platformer level, where the Yoshi themed level could be a race to the finish)
While Link on the the other hand, would have a Zelda themed level → Animal Crossing themed level → F-Zero themed level → Pokemon themed level.
(Of course there will be Wire-frame/polygon battles and Vs matches in between these events and possibly a free-4-all or a Rival Battle at the end before you fight the Master Hand.)

So each character you play through Adventure Mode with will have a different play through of franchise specific obstacles and environments.
Of course there is only so many series that Nintendo has, so they'll obviously have to mix and match these franchise themed levels for different characters.

If the character specific Adventure run throughs are too much, they can just have a randomized selection of themed levels so that each run through as the possibility of being different.

Thoughts?
