MM9 and MM10 are some of my favorite Megaman games.
Mega Man 9 and 10 are really good games.
And I'm playing mega man 6 right now and I'm on Blizzard Man's stage, and I'm grinding for 1 ups against those turret joes or whatever they're called... It's tedious and I'm probably gonna stop soon :D and since I'm lazy I'm avoiding those stupid squid mini bosses by abusing invincibility frames! :D
Blizzard Man's stage is one of my favorites in that game (surprisingly).

I let Blizzard Man to live for a bit and then killed Knight Man. Admittedly I beat him with one life bar left but frankly I was just getting used to his pattern XD

That is one thing I agree on, but initially, it made the game kinda frustrating. I mean, I never looked at a guide to beat that game, so figuring out where to go was annoying because it was almost too balanced. However, I will say that not all of the weapons really "stuck out" or felt really fun to say.
None of them stuck out? What you smoking? 3 words: Black Hole Bomb.

Really=??? Honestly, I thought 1 and 3 were quite noticeably harder. The only part that challenged me was Wily 3 and Metal Man's stage.
2's the most punishing since you lose all your E-Tanks if you get a Game Over and since there are several sections in 2's Wily Castle where certain weapons are required, this forces you to play conservatively. Wily 4 is a death trap for 1st time players (if they even made it that far).

1's okay once you know what you're doing. There's nothing that really punishes you more than other games in the series if you die/game over. You also have the Select Glitch and Magnet Beam abuse to help get over certain sections. You can also got back in certain sections as health/weapon energy respawn if you leave the screen.

Only parts of 3 that I would say is punishing is Needle Man Part 2 with the Rush Jet section, missing a shot with the Gemini Laser, and the glitch with Top Spin that can cause you to lose all of your weapon energy instantly. The game itself is very generous with E-Tanks (Ex. Wily 2).

A gif from The Big Bang Theory automatically loses you the debate.

I didn't say "None of them;" I said some of them.

Actually, I go through Wily 4 pretty easily my first time through. Either Wily 2 or 3 give me issues, though.

The Magnet Beam and Select Glitch I never use, because I prefer to beat it like a real man! :shades:

The Needle Man part and one of the last few (mini-) bosses are what give me issues.

My mistake.

Wily 2 & 3 definitely have some tough spots, but I'm surprised you didn't have issues with 4.

To be fair abusing the Magnet Beam is just as as fair as abusing Metal Blades. :p

Out of curiosity, how many here have played Mega Man & Bass?

False, blame the Wii Fit Trainer's energy ball!

Well I only beat 4 once (I beat 2 and 3 about a dozen times each), and it was after I marathon beat 1-3. I got all the way through 6 in one day! :)

Winning without exploits in the way I do things. But now that I've legitimately beat it, yeah I guess.

I never beat it, but I borrowed a friend's copy and got through all of the levels (up until the final ones). It was a VERRRYYYYY fun game! :)

I have played that game. Normally, I like to go for the vanilla route and pick Mega Man, however I do play as Bass for the sake of completion.

Pirate Man and Magic Man are actually some of my favorite Robot Masters.

Didn't think that a lot of people had played it. Maybe I should start asking who's played V or Wily Wars?

For those who don't know Mega Man & Bass, while fun, is the hardest game in the series.

Mega Man and Bass would take my full effort to beat. At the beginning, I went all Mega Man, but later on I was like 60/40 Bass/Mega Man.

Also, I have played V before (my cousin used to play that game every day), although I only played like 3 or 4 levels (and beat 2 or 3 of them).

As for the Wily Wars, I have never played it, but I have some of the soundtrack, and I have seen a lot of gameplay footage of it.

I've played mega man soccer :p
As have I. I was pretty good at it!

Also, for whatever reason, I've played a few N64/PS1 soccer games recently, and they are really fun in a bad-yet-enjoyable arcade-y sorts of way (in that they are too offensively OP, and really cartoony), but once they hit the 6th/7th gen, they got boring! (even if they are still offensively OP) :ohwell:

A similar thing exists with football/NFL games. They were really fun in the 6th generation of gaming (mostly because of NFL 2K), but in Gen 7 they got boring. I mean, there were glitches and failures before then, but man, they never fixed the offense to be balanced. Maybe it is just me, but I play long 10 minute matches, and quite frankly I'd prefer a 16-14 game in 40 minutes to a 48-33 game that takes 20 minutes.

I prefer the cartoony sports games to actual sports games

Usually I agree with this, but that is because there is a disconnect with reality in sports games when it comes to "Realistic" sports games, specifically Madden.

But hey, aside from buzzer beater cheese points and some weird running speed stuff, I think NBA 2k does a pretty good job; MLB The Show probably is the same way too (although I haven't played much of it). But that canny valley of realism is really hurt by just every sports game being broken in that.

Plus games like NBA Jam and NFL Blitz are just too classic not to love. :shades:

Fun fact: I didn't buy NBA 2k13 because it had Justin Bieber in it as a playable character (and because they made that Canadia-land ****** freaking NBA taller).

You know, I just noticed something.

Joke characters in Smash (when present) have always been from the Pokemon franchise.

I don't remember the last sports game I played. It might have either been Backyard Sports on the PC or a demo of a Mario Tennis Game. Real life sports just don't do anything for me.

Biggest reason I actually play sports games is for the team management mode (Won a championship with the magic about 4 or 5 years after the 2013 season on 2K13)

Waiting until I have the resources to either import the SFC version or buy a SNES repro. I've heard that the GBA port has a lot of problems, so I'm holding off on that one.

Anyone here played Battle & Chase?
