If that ******** is true, I will not be able to recover. Even though I must.

Frankly, all the rumors are getting tough to keep track of and I will be very happy when the trailer hits because it will be the end of all this garbage.

BTW, could anyone inform me whether Sakurai will be at E3/in the ND or not? I've heard yea and nay on this.

-The game's title will be NEW Super Smash Bros.
-They oped out of the more detailed Charter models of Melee and Brawl in favor of a more simplified cel shaded look.
-The Characters in the trailer were Mario, Link, Samus, Pit, Fox, Captain Falcon and 2 Newcomers. Waddle Dee and Mii.
-The 3DS version will be more of a Power Stone 3D arena fighter while the Wii U will be traditional Smash Bros fare.
-New Items were the Tanooki Leaf, Balloon Bomb "From Return to Dreamland", Thunderbolt and Metal Cage which you can throw at a player and they'll become trapped and have to break out.
-Stages included Doomship, a stage based around Mii, Cookie Country from Return to Dreamland, Unova, and Nintendogs Park.
-New moves include the ability to walk while crouching, Mario has a new hammer attack, Link uses a Whip, Kirby has a super suck attack, Waddle Dee uses spears and shoots beams and Mii has a variety of attacks.
-No more Assist Trophies. Instead there will be Callouts. You'll have a gage that fills up and once it does you'll be able to get assistance from a NPC. For example Kirby get's assistance from Prince Fluff and Samus gets assistance from Anthony Higgs. They will be invincible similar to the Pokemon that come out of the Pokeballs.

Come now that's rather harsh especially considering some of it is pretty darn likely. For instance I would put money on it that Mario will be in the trailer. Now when that happens you're going to have to miss out on a perfectly good game.

Read this: http://gonintendo.com/?mode=viewstory&id=204469 and tested, didnt find anything on the european eshop, however, since its E3 very soon and its possible that the eshop wont update until then, the content might allready be there like hinted for that content. So anyone with a american 3DS and acces to eshop willing to try searching for smash bros on the eshop for potencial content?

Seeing how it is the year of Luigi, I think it's pretty safe to say Mario will end up being an alt costume for Luigi

I accept your premise but reject your conclusion. Mario is the star and while he is taking a break this year he will be back stronger by the time sm4sh comes out. And if we know anything about Nintendo it's that they're a forward thinking company. However you do make a good point in that the trailer is due this year. I predict a sequence similar to the one in melee's adventure where luigi jumped on Mario's head and then took his place.

All seriousness, Idk about Mario being stronger than ever. I think Nintendo maybe backing off Mario just a bit this gen.

Who is to say that next year we won't see the year of Yoshi if island & Yarn don't come out this year. Or some other character for that matter.

I do like the idea of Luigi jumping off Mario's head again in the vien of melee. that would be a nice touch!

Well just because it is the year of Luigi doesn't mean Mario is taking a backseat for the entire year long. He had Mario and Donkey Kong a couple of weeks ago and there is still Super Mario U. So I don't believe Sakurai is going to do something silly as in keeping Mario out of the trailer just because it's the Year of Luigi.

He might do a Melee though and make Luigi and Jigglypuff starters while Ness and Captain Falcon remain unlockable characters this time around.

But I'm sure you guys are just joking around anyway so whatever.

I think in terms of Mario games ( we'll still see the the Tennis and Baseballs) I think other characters may get the spot light.

What I'd like to see for a good part of the trailer is fighters showing up, but never more than four at any given time. For example, let's say that Pit's arrow from the Brawl trailer knocked out Kirby and then Pit takes his place, Palutena takes Link's, Luigi takes Mario's etc. I think that'd be a good way for making our bodies explode.

This discussion on Mario Golf dawned (donned?) an interesting question.

What ever happened to Plum?

She was in Mario Golf 64 and that's it. Albeit that was the only Mario Golf game I ever played, she was just... there, for no reason. She seems like a failed attempt at a new character, or something.

Ah okay, same here actually. I just did a quick Google search and stumbled upon this image too. I'm using this one for now. x'D I think it's pretty cute.
