You you still didn't read about my 'Pikachu is still selectable on it's own' part? Great headstart already
You still didn't read the part that I'm not talking about that idea, but your
original idea? Great headstart already.
Your original idea said nothing about giving the option for Pikachu to be alone. Guess you really
did force yourself to forget your old idea out of embarrassment.
I'd also argue Pichu and Raichu are way more popular and well known than Zero Suit Samus ever was. Besides, it's not even a rehash as said before, as the evolution system isn't based on switiching with Down B.
Still not talking about the evolution gimmick. Maybe if you laid off the joint, you'd get that by now.
I'm talking your original rehash gimmick used as a way to shoehorn Pichu back as well as add Raichu that pretty much was a Pokémon Trainer that used one of each evolutionary line. If I remember correctly, the Trainer you suggested was someone like Yellow from the Adventures manga.
I love how you use rehashing so casually btw. Wanna know some actual rehashes?
Dr.Mario. - blandest, least unique clone Smash had in history (yes, that's counting Luigi in SSB64)
Waluigi. - worst imaginable filler rehash character created with single exception of... Ohh wait sorry, nothing.
Wreck-It-Ralph. - Shameless Donkey Kong arcade rehash you somehow find worthy of being included in Smash
-Least unique, yet somehow different enough to be able to have a noticeable difference on the tier list than his counterpart (which is only possible if *gasp* Dr. Mario
was in fact unique) in comparison to Fox and Falco, who are literally only one place different from each other.
Only thing that can really be claimed as a rehash about him is that he's an alternate version of Mario from a different series.
Though the same would apply to the likes of Paper Mario, another alternate version of Mario from a different series.
-Unoriginal, yes. A darker counterpart of a main character is rather cliché. Wario and Waluigi are nowhere near the first examples of one, nor are they the last.
But unless there are other tall and lanky beings of pure rage, rottenness, and chaos in the Mario series before Waluigi, he's not a rehash.
-DK is an ape that steals a plumber's girlfriend and tosses barrels at him as he tries to go save her just because he's a stubborn ape.
Ralph is giant who smashes a building because it was built where his old forest home used to be and he was forcibly removed from the area for construction.
Not a rehash by any stretch. The fact you continue to label him as such after you've already been discredited in the Ralph thread shows either a poor sense of judgment or a strong sense of blind arrogance.
Ah feeling superior again due to someone else's minor mistakes. Always feels refreshing talking to you man.
Wish I could say the same. You're probably one of the ones I
least like to talk to.
I fail to see how it's a Pokémon Trainer rip-off still. Last time I checked, Squirle doesn't evolve into Ivysaur, and Ivysaur doesn't evolve into Charizard.
It's a Trainer that uses a set of three Pokémon of different evolution stages.
Regardless of what Pokémon they are, it's still a rehash of an existing concept.
Any no brainer can see how Wreck-It-Ralph is based of Donkey Kong.
If DK being a source inspiration for Ralph despite minimal connections makes Ralph a rip-off/rehash, then DK is ironically the biggest rip-off star of all. (with Mario coming in at 2nd)
DK would be then nothing but a rip-off of Popeye's Brutus mixed with King Kong. And unlike the Ralph/DK example, DK draws a lot more connections to the two. Especially when you consider he's an ape that kidnaps a girl and climbs a structure (King Kong) in a game that was originally designed as a Popeye game (Brutus).
Maybe Universal was on to something when they tried to sue Nintendo.
I always introduced the idea as an evolution gimmick.
Try and undermine me on different bases next time.
No, you didn't. Maybe the fumes made you forget, but I didn't.
Waaaaaaay back on the old closed thread, aside from Impa, your biggest thing was a Pikachu Trainer because it was "such a great idea". No evolution.
Pichu turning into a lethal joke character as opposed to a terrible joke character is a good thing. Nobody likes Lucario's Aura gimmick either, so this gives a good replacement of sorts. And is about the only legit way Pichu deserves a return.
Smash doesn't need another Lethal Joke Character, it's got Jigglypuff, who should be returned to that status.
Pichu as a regular Joke Character is fine as is.
Ideas go through stages. It's like critising a movie for it's trailer only.
Not in this case.
It's very easy to imagine some interessting concept with Pichu -> Pikachu -> Raichu.
For example B: Pichu: Thunder Wave. Pikachu: Thunder jolt / Thunderschock Raichu: Thunderbolt (chargable and all)
Side B: Pichu: Attract: Pikachu: Iron Tail Raichu: Skull Bash
Up B: Variations of Quick Attack or Agility
As for the rest, they could heavily inspire Raichu on Pikachu's N64 fighting style. And Luigify Pichu in some other ways.
Let's see:
-give each a variation of Neutral B move
-give each a variation of Up B move
-change Pikachu's Side B move, give Raichu his old one, and give Pichu a move that'd be completely useless in a Smash format
-make Raichu have Smash 64 Pikachu's "fighting style"
-Luigify Pichu in "some other ways"
After this, you are no longer allowed to criticize anything you would consider "rehash", especially not any ideas to change Dr. Mario up.
I admit, this actually put me in a better mood. So I thank you for that.
Goku in Smash
Not gibberish.
Keep doing your thing playboy.
Yeah, keep being a hypocritical stoner.
It's what you do best.
At the very least I wasn't continuously making claims that he
will be in Smash and singlehandedly turn him into a pariah like you did with Impa.
Just that the possibility
exists regardless of what people (including myself) were trained to believe.
