Emboar being part Fighting does make some sense considering it's based on Zhu Bajie, similar to how Infernape is based on Sun Wukong.

Though from a game design standpoint, the additional Fighting type seems tacked on. The reason why Torchic and Chimchar gained a secondary Fighting type upon evolving is because it allowed both to defeat the first Gym Leader easier. In Hoenn and Sinnoh, the first Gym Leader was Roxanne and Roark respectively, Rock type Gym Leaders. While for the respective Grass and Water starters the battle is a cake walk, normally it's a rough battle for the Fire type. As such to compensate, the Fire type was given the Fighting type and an attack to take advantage of the STAB.

Fast forward to the Unova region, where the isn't a Rock type gym to justify the secondary Fighting type. To add salt on the wound, the secondary Fighting type wasn't even needed for the fights against Lenora, Brycen, or Cheren. In the case of Lenora, you could get a Sawk or Throh to mow down her team much easier then Pignite can. In the case of Brycen, you already have a Fire type STAB to toy with making Fighting redundant. In the case of Cheren, you're pretty much forced to use Tepig, and due to the way EXP is distributed in Gen 5, grinding is a extremely repetitive option that's not really worth it in the end.

I think the Pokemon closest to my PHYSICAL MEASUREMENTS is Golduck? I'm about an inch or so taller but a little more than 20 pounds lighter.

Crobat and I are like, EXACTLY the same. Both 5' 11" and weigh in the mid 160's. And Apparently, Furret is taller than Charizard. :chuckle:

I always thought it would be cool if there was a Cyber/Mecha type. Then we could have like Pokemon based on Transformers/Voltron. I remember I even made a fakemon based on Iron Man lol.

But seriously, there should totally be a Bishounen type. that...doesn't even make any sense. Seriously, we have Jynx, Miltank, Gardevoir, Milotic, Lopunny, Meloetta, etc, that could make for a Bishoujo type actually.

I'm just joking...really I am...

You know, I really like the idea of crossovers, not only Nintendo, but in video games in general. Yeah, some of them made me go "wtf!" but I still think they're innovative and it keeps things fresh seeing universes collide. For example: MvC, Pokemon Conquest, SMTxFE, Poker Night at the Inventory, Project X Zone, just to name a few.

I'm really hoping we'll see more awesome crossovers from Nintendo in the future.

Probopass and Conkeldurr for Bishounen type. :troll:
Truly the most prettiest of them all.

Though I thought Nosepass was kinda cute...As for its evolution...well, at least it makes me laugh (no offensive).

Would bishounen pokes be effective against dragons? Handsome hero slaying a dragon, etc.

THANK YOU HEELS I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY COOL. *KICKSDUST*

The fire/water pokémon will be a sink. Right knob spills lava, left knob spills cold water.
...What the ****?

I think a Fire-Water type that is based on something Steam related would be cool, or a crazy Grass-Fire jack-o-lantern could be cool. We have a Water-Grass type, so I think Fire-Water and Grass-Fire could be pretty cool to eventually see.
I still think we should have a Grass type Tree Pokemon, that evolves into a Grass-Fire type Burning Tree pokemon, and that one evolves into a Ground type Pile-of-Ash Pokemon. Then we could have an Ice Type Pokemon that evolves into a Fire-Ice pokemon that then evolves into a Water type pokemon... because it melted. :awesome:

I'm almost the same as a Sceptile. :)

Apparently the pokemon closest to my size is Garchomp.

It's my weight AND my height.

I feel kinda badass.
Whoa, dude... *backs away slowly*

THANK YOU HEELS I THOUGHT IT WAS PRETTY COOL. *KICKSDUST*

I actually only liked your post because of the Pokemon tear joke Yeah man you have good ideas! :D

Bishounen characters in Pokémon is covered by the trainers themselves.

Besides, a cute, male Pokémon can be qualified as bishounen.

As I wrote this post, I reminded that Tyrogue certainly qualifies:

Johnknight. I don't know exactly how to say this, but...we're the exact same height and weight!

But yeah, Poison could really use a Buff. I always thought it should be Super Effective against Water, because pollution and stuff.
I thought it should be SE against flying too.

I'm in between articuno and deoxys. I like to believe its because of my pending legendary status.

Don't some trees use wildfires to sort of "explode" their seeds out? Because that would be a good Grass/Fire type.

A Cyber type would be neat, I mean we got Porygon.

Why not go full robot/artificial life?

I always loved the Cyber line in YuGiOh. Also Falchion's sig already shows how awesome Mecha Dragons are.

Did you know that Deino, Zweilous and Hydreigon were originally intended to be Mecha Dragon Pokémon, before they switched to the multiple head Yamata no Orochi-inspired theme?

Here's hoping there's a new Steel/Dragon-type Mecha Dragon Pokémon in this generation.

Actually, I remember some time ago we made a list of the fighters in Smash with Pokemon types? I only briefly saw it, I think. I was wondering if anyone had it saved.

Yeah, I love the Cyber type as well. Dare I say it's my fave in Yu Gi Oh?

Seriously? Sauce?

Also, I thought the inspiration was more along the lines of the Western Hydra considering the German names, also, isn't Yamata no Orochi a Snake? But Mecha Dragons with German names would have been SOOOO COOOL.

They were my fave too, alongside Dragons, Dragons in YuGiOh were always fun as **** to use, and warriors. All time favorite card is Chaos Emperor Dragon, back before it got banned. Chaos Emp, Blow**** up, Sangan, Yata Garasu, insta-win.

Well, it has inspiration from the Hydra too, given Hydreigon's name and the fact that Zweilous and Hydreigon have multiple heads.

Anyway, quoting Bulbapedia:
Bulbapedia said:
According to interviews with Sugimori in Nintendo Dream, Deino and its evolutions were originally intended to be cyborg dragons - part tank and part dragon. They were then scrapped until late in the game when they were revived and re-made to be based on Yamata no Orochi.

Originally, according to interviews with Ken Sugimori in Nintendo Dream, Hydreigon and its pre-evolutions were intended to be cybernetic dragons incorporating aspects of tanks within their bodies before being redesigned around the theme of Yamata no Orochi. The tank track-like markings on Hydreigon's body are a remnant of this design. Furthermore, although Yamata no Orochi typically has eight heads in mythology, Hydreigon was drawn with a fewer number of heads in order to appear less confusing.

I'll see if I can find the original Nintendo Dream interview.

Who knows that they may explore this idea again?

Aww maaaaaaaaaaaan.... :urg: But Hydreigon is still awesome.
Who knows, maybe they'll apply this concept in X & Y.

So Pizzadudeman and his little friends are have a live stream debate on SSB4 characters. They did mention Smashboards a few times. (When talking about the Lloyd Vs. Pac-Man debate)

Every person in the live stream keeps disconnecting half way through their arguments.:laugh:

EDIT: Saved Fire Emblem for last.

Probably talking about garbage characters, just like garbage people would.
I only got in for some of the third parties (Namco, Square Enix, and Ubisoft) and the Pokemon/Fire Emblem characters. Which they ended up agreeing on Mewtwo, Chrom, Lloyd/Pac-Man, and Chrom for possible characters.

EDIT: I'm kind of glad i didn't see the debates for other characters though.

Heh, debates. It's a good thing I'm very selective about which characters I choose to support. Sadly, it's only 2 of em, and it'd be a smack to the face if they (Palutena and Bowser Jr) didn't make it in. Otherwise, I'm stuck with Pit and Bowser, who already are mediocre at best.

EDIT: Debates remind me of some of the brawl ones I've seen. Is Ness or Lucas Better? Is Sheik male or female? Memories those were.
