Your point? Samus getting an alternate form that switches through Final Smash (which are optional) is not comparable to turning a standalone character like Pikachu into nothing more than a rehash of Pokémon Trainer's gimmick and using his less popular evolution and pre-evolution to do so.
You you still didn't read about my 'Pikachu is still selectable on it's own' part? Great headstart already
I'd also argue Pichu and Raichu are way more popular and well known than Zero Suit Samus ever was. Besides, it's not even a rehash as said before, as the evolution system isn't based on switiching with Down B.
I love how you use rehashing so casually btw. Wanna know some actual rehashes?
Dr.Mario. - blandest, least unique clone Smash had in history (yes, that's counting Luigi in SSB64)
Waluigi. - worst imaginable filler rehash character created with single exception of... Ohh wait sorry, nothing.
Wreck-It-Ralph. - Shameless Donkey Kong arcade rehash you somehow find worthy of being included in Smash
Grammatically, you're either saying both are rip-offs or neither are rip-offs. English. Do you speak it?
Aside from that, a 3 stage Trainer that just so happens to use Pikachu's evolutionary line instead of starters is a frigging rip-off of the Trainer we already have.
Unless Wreck-It Ralph has been tossing barrels at Fix-It Felix as he tries to reach his girlfriend at the top of an abandoned construction site in his spare time, he's not a DK rip-off. (And your reasoning for him being one in the Ralph thread was pulling at straws and has been completely debunked anyway, so I fail to see how you can still make that claim unless you're really that biased. :/)
Ah feeling superior again due to someone else's minor mistakes. Always feels refreshing talking to you man.
I fail to see how it's a Pokémon Trainer rip-off still. Last time I checked, Squirle doesn't evolve into Ivysaur, and Ivysaur doesn't evolve into Charizard.
Any no brainer can see how Wreck-It-Ralph is based of Donkey Kong.
Evolution gimmick? I'm not talking that gimmick. I'm talking your original concept before you changed it to an evolution gimmick to try and save face.
Aside from that, combining multiple different gimmicks together doesn't make it a unique gimmick; it just makes a cluster**** of gimmicks.
I always introduced the idea as an evolution gimmick.
Try and undermine me on different bases next time.
Pichu turning into a lethal joke character as opposed to a terrible joke character is a good thing. Nobody likes Lucario's Aura gimmick either, so this gives a good replacement of sorts. And is about the only legit way Pichu deserves a return.
Underlined is a lie. Your original concept (the one I was criticizing in the first place) was to turn Pikachu into a "Pikachu Trainer" that used each line of the Pikachu family. You probably don't remember (or you forced yourself not to remember), but that was way back in the old SSB4 thread.
Ideas go through stages. It's like critising a movie for it's trailer only.
Potential fighting style that actually makes use of Dr. Mario being a doctor > nothing Pikachu can't already do aside from Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, and Focus Blast (and even then, Giga Impact can just be Raichu's version of Skull Bash)
It's very easy to imagine some interessting concept with Pichu -> Pikachu -> Raichu.
For example B: Pichu: Thunder Wave. Pikachu: Thunder jolt / Thunderschock Raichu: Thunderbolt (chargable and all)
Side B: Pichu: Attract: Pikachu: Iron Tail Raichu: Skull Bash
Up B: Variations of Quick Attack or Agility
As for the rest, they could heavily inspire Raichu on Pikachu's N64 fighting style. And Luigify Pichu in some other ways.
Sorry, next time I'll dumb it down so people like you can actually understand what is being said instead of seeing nothing but gibberish. Maybe I should puff one right before so I get an understanding of the target audience.
Goku in Smash
Not gibberish.
Keep doing your thing playboy.
