Sakurai from HAL Laboratory, producer of Kirby and Smash Bros. series had an hour of keynote speech at CEDEC developer conference, he mentioned that in the upcoming Smash Bros title, all characters will have new skills, there are many new characters, and it is fun to work on these features.
Sorry to get hopes up. Not that this isn't likely. But that site I quoted is notorious for added mystery details like that. So at the moment this should just be taken as just a liberty they took when writing their statement.Saying ALL RETURNING characters will have something new was not said in the other reports. Of course, I have never seen the original line in context do this could be interpretation. I hope it's right.
Ya, back in the day, that was great, only reason i have this much, now its once a day lolAgain,I missed the old smash bros for Wii U thread, here I could troll and earn free posts for it
If it ain't broke don't fix it.... but I think the original 12 really need some new tricks.
Nah, Yoshi, Ness, Link and Samus need some work. But Link will probably never be any good if out side people are balancing him. I mean really why is that? Who at Nintendo thinks they know how powerful Link should be in Smash Bros? That's a load of crap if you ask me.If it ain't broke don't fix it.
I think since that article came out people have realized to take that one instance of a confirmed date with a grain of salt, as that's literally the only place a release date is given, and even to the side of that article the release date still says TBA, not 2013 or TBA 2013. I'm pretty sure no other website has confirmed a tentative 2013 date, so many people just assume it's IGN treating their placeholders as fact again. It's not the first time they've done it.http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/08/07/masahiro-sakurai-talks-super-smash-bros-4
it hasn't been confirmed though. knowing Sakurai, it would be delayed to 2014, IGN sould realize that the 2 year development model means nothing to nintendo.
Wait, since Ganon techniclly isn't in SS(Demise, his ancestor is)they might just make up new models for them, like with Sheik in Brawl.Anyway if they do use Zelda's SS model, then all the Zelda users will switch to Toon Zelda(who will probably be a Luigified clone).I'm guessing the only thing that would change the current LOZ models in SSB4 from Skyward Sword versions would be Zelda Wii U, but I think that's still too early in development for Sakurai to base those designs off of (though I wouldn't mind being wrong -- the SS designs honestly aren't my favorite). The main three (Link/Zelda/Ganondorf) have always been based off main console designs, and even if the 3DS game uses adult Link, I still have a feeling that unless LOZ Wii U is further in development than we know, we will be getting the SS designs. I'd love if they could all stick to their OoT designs forever too (although that Wii U tech demo Link design was pretty awesome), but that sadly won't be happening.
Though there might be a small chance that Ganondorf and Sheik get their OoT appearances due to the remake, but I wouldn't bet on it.
No,the Wand of Gamelon is!Four Swords Adventures is the best Zelda game ever.
psh. Faces of Evil is SOOOOOOOOO much better. No,the Wand of Gamelon is!
The old thread was alright, but I like this setup a lot betterAgain,I missed the old smash bros for Wii U thread, here I could troll and earn free posts for it
Don't worry.CRAP!!! I just realized something... Nintendo wants SSB4 out by the end of 2013, right? well, much to my chagrin, they will more than likely utilize the Skyward Zelda model. Originally, i was banking on a new Zelda game to be announced for the 3DS and that it would have THAT zelda... a teenage zelda... 16... I still don't want to see that Pure Hearted Skyward Zelda to attack, it feels wrong (when peach fights, it feels so right! lol)
I kinda want the Ocarina Zelda back... y'know... the A Cup one...
Unfortunately, Diddy Kong is not alone in this thinking. It seems as the Impa infection has spread as time went on as I see more and more rosters replace Sheik with Impa.I love how Diddy thinks the characters everyone likes will be replaced with one no one cares about.
How did we play Smash 3 on a Wii?How are we going to play Smash 4 on a WiiU?
Don't worry.
Cause this:
Is much better than this:
So it all will be fine.
Ugh. This is one thing I HATE about the SSB community, taking little things like Sakurai's original quote and wildly misinterpereting them and treating these misinterperetations as fact. Like the whole "Ridley's too big" and stuff like that.A mod needs to get this and spread it on

Apparently existing characters are getting a lot of new moves!
It’s fun making new skills for new characters.
Can I have a direct quote from Sakurai? Until then, I'm not buying it.Masahiro Sakurai from HAL Laboratory, producer of Kirby and Smash Bros. series had an hour of keynote speech at CEDEC developer conference, he mentioned that in the upcoming Smash Bros title, all characters will have new skills, there are many new characters, and it is fun to work on these features.
