SSB4 Roster Critique Critique: Holder of the Critique

My only issue with that video is that it calls itself a critique. He simply stated that he wasn't convinced that certain characters had enough grounding and others he said made sense, which means he found their grounding satisfactory. Little Mac, Isaac, Takamaru, Toon Zelda, Shulk, two more third parties, etc. many things that he can weigh in on but I feel he simply liked these concepts, as in "makes sense [to me]".

He does go into more depth on those characters in other videos, he's done quite a few critiques already, so I guess he most talks about what he has problems with now.

Also, I deduct 120 points for lack of Ghirahim giving your roster a -20. Double standard? Nah, I'm allowed to use those.

There's a reason I didn't take my roster to you for a critique.

On the contrary, Pac-man has arguably a pretty weak chance behind something out of a Tales character. I also have a gut feeling the character in question would be Cress due to being the unofficial mascot of the franchise.

Personally I think Pac-Man has slightly better chances, so I went with him.

Toon Zelda? Bleh!! I think Zelda/Sheik, Link, and Ganondorf really are all that is needed. But I believe Ghirahim would be a nice flavorful addition. With a lack of new characters and Ghirahim's potential to reappear, I think he has a decent shot.

Eh, it's really just my skeptical distaste for presumptuous critiquing of rosters. As a result I simply find that if there is a possibility, an end to which something is in the roster, that doesn't defy everything we know, then it is fair game, regardless if we get a "general feeling" of what might work best or not. Who am I, what horse exists that I ride upon, to look down, raise my nose in the air, and shake my head? Reminds me of why I stepped away from the character probability discussing arena in the first place. There's many people that remain who still have delusions of authority.

I didn't really have life area defining games in my life, I just played multiple games as I grew up. o_o And I can't quite remember my first games, they might have been the original Super Mario Bros., or Paper Boy, I couldn't confidently answer.

Haha, yeah. Not my main Youtube account though. Wasn't planning on actually changing any part of my roster based on his critique, but as I'd been watching his videos for a while, was wondering what he would say about my roster. I got about what I expected.

As for Toon Zelda, I do think we'll get a new Zelda character, and with her appearances in Spirit Tracks and the WW remake as well as already being planned for Brawl, she's got the best chance to be the Zelda newcomer (if we get one - we might not). Plus her main competition is really like... Tingle and... Ghirahim.

Truthfully I would take "critiquing" to heart from people here more than pizzadudeman, I just wanted to hear his opinion. I agree sometimes we can be a bit aggressive and even bully-ish to people over changing choices on their roster, but I think critiquing is alright if that person requests it, and it's done as mere suggestion.

To be completely honest, I would rather see SS Impa in SSB4 than Sheik, I like Impa more than a single-appearance facet of Zelda, and think it would be a pretty decent way of adding some SS representation while also adding a character that has a fairly large role in the series for not being Link, Zelda, or Ganondorf. I just don't think it's going to happen at this point, which is why I kept her off my prediction roster. On a wishlist roster, my Zelda section would look a lot different.

I think Sakurai won't really give a damn, or do I need to remind you that this is the same guy that was okay with the idea of Ness and Ice Climbers.

Other than that it lacks only Paper Mario that I really enjoy and instead has Bowser Jr. (though there could be both, particularly if Paper Mario is his own series). But I can understand why he is there and he'd be enjoyable. And don't let anyone tell you Palutena is a bad choice! D:< Regardless if he has pizza, or even if he's a dudemanguy.

As long as it's not ****ty rap, I can handle it. I may need some practice though.

And funny thing about our personalities. I know some ISTJs and I get along with them rather well. Meanwhile, my sister is an ISTJ and we're butting heads all the damn time and she finds me annoying and embarrassing. My guess is that ISTJ is traditionally masculine while ENFP is feminine. The mirror switching on us probably cancels things out and turns it into repulsion at times due to gender differences.

Those characters look great for a roster. Twisted Fate would be pretty cool to play as. I'd personally love to see Garen, Katarina, Annie (could make a cool team with Tibbers), and hmm probably Ezreal (though I'm kinda biased on him. He's like the only Champion I play as haha). Jax would be awesome with his lamppost as well. Hmm, not too sure about the rest, but I'd pay whatever for a LoL fighting game haha. *sigh* If only...

You guys may have already talked about this, but unless you haven't, another rumor popped up a few days ago on NeoGAF http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=564809 As always it is more than likely fake, but it is always fun to read these and speculate. This particular rumor is full of things that are either vague or obvious though so there isn't much to talk about lol. ".there will be an unveil trailer, and during this trailer a few characters in the. Roster will be announced. All the others are black shadowy silhouettes."
Good to know, I am sure glad it is confirmed that a few characters will be revealed in the trailer. It at least mentions that the game is to be released late next year, although if this is true I will be a little disappointed. I was hoping for an early 2014 release, that said I would rather the game be polished than rushed so I shouldn't complain if this is the case.

SSB4 Rumor sounds something I wish would happen because we'd get to speculate on about the silhouettes... also trolling occurring on wrong guesses, hahah!

Mario Kart's though, I'm getting disappointed if it is basically all that was mentioned. I mean they could try fixing the items, make online actually competitive instead of "how long you've played online" like MKWii did and so on.

Wow, I haven't seen one of his videos in, well, forever. I thought he quit speculation, haha. I do find it sort of strange that he feels that way about Palutena, but eh, to each their own. And he still doesn't like Roy as a choice, but changed his mind on Mewtwo, haha.

Over all, though, the roster's really nice! Since unlike most, I actually like Pac-Man, the only sort of qualm I have with it is Toon Zelda, but even then, she's not that bad. Personally I would have put in Samurai Goroh, but eh.
