Lol yeah, if you guys wanted to just do it with mods, there are already enough character mods and stage mods out there to mess with people for Smash 4.

But yeah augusto, that'd be pretty cool, though if you were to take a crappy camera picture of it then you wouldn't really need to go to all the trouble of unreal 4 and such.

If you just put Brawl with HD graphics,people aren't going to believe you.You'd have to change the the graphical style(which can be done with a quick texture hack),put a few oldcomers on a hacked stage,add in a new item to make it look less like a hack,then upload it on a fake YouTube account called "SoraNamco",wait about 20 minutes and....presto!Some idiot on Zelda Informer publishes an article called "Super Smash Bros Universe/Clash Get's First Trailer"and watch the noobs say"OMGZ a traler!" then create a fake dojo with a fake quote from Sakurai-"We are bringing you Super Smash Bros. Universe/Clash from a team of highly trained proffessionals,"and a list of characters(including Megaman)along with some PhotoShopped images,and see the noobs reaction.It would be hilarious!We might even worm some news out of Sakurai!The only thing is how are we going to pull this off?There a lot of people on SmashBoards so at least someone should know how to make a fake trailer or a website.Who knows but we might be able to do this,since it's been done several times before.

i am currently studying character animation, so a video clip teaser would be cool... i probably have classmates that could help me out but that's a long shot. but the texture part would be pretty fun to do... and the modeling! only problem is i haven't learned how to UV map a character... only objects and ****... i heard i need one whole uvw on the face alone!

You should have seen the new wii-u topic, the one that got closed down when this forum opened up. It had over 100,000 posts on it. :D

Also Tyrogue, while sony and microsoft chars would be rediculous in smash, one of my greatest dreams is creating a video-game 'royale'. Every popular video-game character is brought in to this one big struggle against a common foe. Or something like that. There would be non-common characters too (weeeeee Ark!!!!) but I can imagine Lara croft and mario together on a barren wasteland wondering where to go next. I can even imagine a random guy that stand there and does nothing but wave his arms about. The characters see him when they're trying to cross a crevasse and they don't know what he's doing at all, until tetris blocks fall in to the crevasse and they realise he's controlling them. Then he fills the crevasse and they get across.

Anyway i can think of lots of instances like that in a game that has so many video-game chars. It'd be awesome if someone could do that...

And this theme would play at the end when a character sacrifices themselves for the greater good. It would be on this big ship and the ship explodes, killing both the bad guy and the hero. And everyone else would be on the ground watching as the ship falls to pieces:

You could take HD (redefined) character models from Brawl Vault (and other such sites), create a new fake theme song for Smash WiiU (or 3DS), maybe add a fake newcomer, and then make a new stage (or a new complete redesign of Battlefield or Final Destination, if not some brand new stage). That would fool at least some people!

Next gen Smash mods (even on the 3DS) are going to be awesome. As for next gen Smash graphics, homanahomanahomana! It's like we're gonna jump ahead 2 gaming generations (since the Wii was barely graphically stronger than the GameCube). The graphical and processing jump could be bigger than the jump from Smash 64 to Melee.

I'm going to have to go with the bandwagon here and say that clip makes me want Layton in the game.
The "It's not just any puzzle... it's a Legend of Zelda puzzle" makes LoZ puzzles sound more difficult than they actually are.

That's what I found interesting in all this. Everyone assumes that Namco characters will be in Smash because they are working on it. However, everyone has the same outlook, which they'd like it but want to leave everything up to Sakurai. This man even mentioned the old Brawl rule where they have to be on a Nintendo console (which I'm sure some forgot).

I will say that a Tales character could work rather well.

It will be too late. You know when Miyamoto said he could get any character he wants in Smash Bros=??? His favorite character is Pac-Man. So the deed may already be done. Add in that Pac-Man is the most famous, well-known, influential, and well-liked video game and video game character not represented in smash bros, and you got a done deal.

Everyone called FPS's Doom clones for a very long time. 2D-Fighters were also all considered SF2 ripoffs for a very long while. I don't think it's unfair to say PSA is another Platforming Fighter with a different set of mechanics and not just a smash clone.

FPS are mostly all the same anyway. They may as well be rip offs

This game was made to ride off of Smash's popularity with the same concept

Changing mechanics in the game don't suddenly make it a unique idea

Honestly, I think Kamiya at Platinum Games said that as a friend of Sakurai's. Plus, Platinum Games makes great games. That forgives anyone in the industry of most sins IMO.

PlayStation All-Stars is such a smash bros/Capcom Vs. series rip-off, its' not even funny (especially the former). I wouldn't mind that as long as the game was good. But sadly, it's going to be another throw away trash Smash clone, like TMNT Smash Up, Shrek Smash, and Cartoon Network Punch before it.

Also, lol at PSASBR having Raiden (instead of Snake) as playable. SNAKE RE-CONFIRMED IN SMASH BROS!!!
