Well, here's my VERY crappy attempt at making a roster based off the rumor.

That Nintendo tried to retrieve them from M$ and failed, recently.
On one hand I'm happy because if true it means Nintendo wants them back, on the other I'm sad because it means that M$ is a **** (we all know that) and acts like a party pooper.

Reading 100-Year-Old-Gamer's posts directly state that Nintendo tried to get Banjo back at one point, not necessarily recently. I still think he's just bull****ting, but I guess it'll be proven in a few weeks when something contradicts what he's said, if there hasn't been something already.

They did, Starfire, but they still do not own their franchises. I find it terrible being an "artist", like I do not own my... own things. Terrible.

What Vintage Creep said, plus a few were going to get together and create a spiritual successor to B&K, including Grant Kirkhope, but tbh I haven't heard anything from that since it was announced like last year or something. According to the rumor, Nintendo also tried to create a studio for the ex-Rare staff, but that fell through as well (though I can't imagine why, I don't doubt Nintendo's ability to create a simple studio if they wanted to).

I have absolutely no idea. The people on IGN mostly seem to be treating it as a joke or some reference I don't get, which it probably is. Apparently he's had correct "predictions" in the past, but I can't find any. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough. I have found incorrect predictions though, so I'd advise not to believe these rumors until we actually have reason to.

He said we were going to get a Nintendo Direct in December (last December) after the one on the 5th already happened, focusing on Nintendo TVii (which we didn't). That's one at least.

Yup. We can all put the rumors to rest now.
No Goku in Smash Bros., or at least not by what this guy says.

Though if it weren't for what Sakurai said about guest characters, Goku would give off the same vibe Sonic did to me before his Brawl reveal. (In fact, Goku somewhat does give me that vibe, but nowhere near as strong)
Hell, if it weren't for the fact he was an anime character, I'd bet he'd be the unquestioned "Namco" character with the most support, support that isn't just meager like Pac-Man or Tales characters.

Absolutely. I do like Goku, as design though since I'm not a Dragon Ball fan. Sadly he's not a videogame character though, so he can go **** himself the hell away from my Smash Bros

I think it's only like that as part of a contract. Even then, there is likely royalties involved with any artistic asset. I doubt Nobuo Uematsu gets nothing when OSTs with his music are sold.

I don't think every person who ever worked on Banjo gets money when a new title gets released though.
It's not the real problem anyway, the problem is that the guys who created Banjo and now want to make a new one, simply can't.

You could technically count Mario and DK the same series in my roster.

Technically Pokemon has three extra characters if you count each of Giovanni's Pokemon as separate characters. (One of them being Mewtwo)
