I had mentioned Lloyd in the OG speculation thread a few times on deaf ears... I always thought he'd make for a great moveset. (lol, that's all I see a character is worth)

Lloyd would have potential for an awesome move set, and Symphonia 1 and 2 were nintendo exclusive (Well in America anyway.)
It's just a wonder if he is still relevant with all the other Namco characters as well as all the more recent tales of games.

I'm hoping him, Takamaru, Saki, Shulk, Ridley, Little Mac, and Issac get in, any more characters like King K Rool, or Bowser Jr would be icing on the cake,

Yes, everyone has seen it. And nobody gives a s**t about that stupid poll anymore.

The character selection is too small, it's claiming to be "official" when it likely isn't, and 4chan skewed the votes by spamming Waluigi votes.

Because two are just clones and the last one,well I guess Toad could be good but still Mario has room for another rep and Waluigi just fits more than Geno.

How would Paper Mario be a clone? I know it seems that way at first glance, but Mario has a vastly different set of abilities in the PM series. Most notably, he has a higher reliance on hammer based attacks.

A: The very idea that they are doing it for the lulz. They don't REALLY want him in, they are trolling. (disclaimer, some legitimately do though and just happened to have encountered it through 4Chan of all places)

And yes, None is better... These are all the characters that are necessary to represent this franchise. the Main, the Bro, the plot device (lol), and the villain. anything else is fluff.

Do the math. It took three games to add Diddy Kong to the roster (I counted the first game, too). At least give the DK series an apologetic King K. Rool or Funky Kong for SSB4... Goodness.

Yes but Toon Link is 1.The main character of three games(Jr.Bowser isn't)2.Works well(both don't).Paper Mario is just a fatter 2D Mario who is considered the same person as normal Mario.While Toon Link is actually two different people.Jr.Bowser just doesn't have move set potential.He's more of an assist trophy.

His model is exactly why he shouldn't be in this game,it just won't work.People(people who prefer the "classic Mario") hate on Waluigi because he's not in the main series Marios.In fact they don't want him in the main series because he's a "spin off only" character.Yet they still prefer him over Blue Toad.Now putting him in SSB.4 would make him popular enough to be in a main series Mario and maybe we'll get Waluigi World for Wii U and it'll be a massive hit just like E.T the video game.You see?

No, not even at first glance. In fact, the first glance should tell you half the reasoning as to why he is so different. The other half is achieved from playing his very own franchise of games and learning what he can do.

I still posit Paper Mario to be above Waluigi, Toad, and Junior in potential and worth, even though that makes me quite alone. What kills Waluigi is that he would have to be a Mario character, but that does not do him justice at all. But then what do you do? You can't make him a Wario character either, because he has not been in nary a Warioland or Warioware game. I won't lie, I like the character, and his potential, but it is so untapped, and putting him in as a Mario character would spit on that. We have Toad and Junior, who both result in us thinking of the Mario series more than he does, and represent it far more, and have no greater untapped potential to be its own franchise. And Paper Mario has more potential, and according to polls conducted on Shortie's thread, demanded more, a lead character in his games, and brings a whole franchise to the table. Now although he would be his own franchise and wouldn't really be getting in the way of Waluigi, Toad, or Junior, my position is that if we are to get one of the four, it should be clear as to which one.

Maybe, like, 5 would be reasonable. 7 is over the top. Popularty doesn't define how many characters the series gets.

The most realistic number of characters in SSB4 is 50. So, give the other 2 slots to others, like... Dillion and Quote! Or one character each for the Donkey Kong series or LoZ series.
