I have put this phrase on my signature case anyone hasn't noticed:
Once the storm arrives and we discuss Fire Emblem again, we will all be playing Fire Emblem: Path of ***********.

And we will have to defend our homeland against the idiots who declare Chrom a shoe-in due to flimsy reasons.

Does anyone here think that we might get both Genesect and Awakened Mewtwo as Pokemon reps?

I actually remember Asage getting angry and leaving last year because Zoroark and Lucario were being promoted for Black 2 and White 2 back in April and people were saying that Victini's chances were little to none.

I'm betting on Awakened Mewtwo showing up in some form as playable, but I bet against Genesect's inclusion, which is too bad as I'd like to see him.

I remember throwing a fit when I realized that Victini wasn't getting in (back when I was a hardcore supporter of him due to unreasonable fears of Mewtwo and/or Lucario's inclusion being prevented by Zoroark, but my dislike of Zoroark has since went away). Worst thing I've ever done when it comes to Smash speculation and left for a couple of months.

I wonder how asage's thought on Victini has changed ever since his hiatus. He did make a Victini for SSB4 thread, although it got little attention (did post a little there, just because I used to support Victini so much, but by then I was neutral on his inclusion).

If we get Mewtwo, it better be classic only or both forms. If only Awakened Mewtwo makes in, there will be massive outcry across the Internet.

Both should appear, but honestly, I just want Mewtwo back.

I think it is more respectable for people to play a character they like even if they suck than claim to love a character before the game (such as Fox in Melee after figuring out he is top tier), and then jumping ship the next game when the character is not as good.

Pretty sure that's no one is denying that Mewtwo's moveset sucks, they just like the character too much to not care about winning or losing. Honestly this isn't a situation where people are being ignorant. People like Mewtwo and want the chance to play as him for better or worse (I believe the term is called "character loyalty").

I've heard "character specialist" on occasion.

As far as I know, there is no "wrong" or "right" way to enjoy a character in Smash. Some people like whatever fighter for the moveset/playstyle more than anything else (like me and Lucas). And some people like a character for who they are in their source games and the character itself, not caring how good or bad they are (like me and Roy. Plus the fire effects). Some people might think that latter is shallow or whatever, but really, there's no rules saying on how people should enjoy characters, nor if they're foolish for liking a bad character, just an opinion that I humbly disagree with.

Well, there's really no right or wrong reason for playing a character. Playing a character right or wrong is another story. You need to play a character to their strengths. It's like trying to play Dhalsim like Cammy. It's just not going to work out.

I think it is more respectable for people to play a character they like even if they suck than claim to love a character before the game (such as Fox in Melee after figuring out he is top tier), and then jumping ship the next game when the character is not as good.

Let's not jump to conclusions here. I could hardly play as Fox in Brawl due to his abnormally high gravity.

Woah, wait. Don't count your chickens till they hatch. There's nothing saying Mewtwo will be **** again, but there's also nothing saying he'll be better.

My personal exp with Mewtwo was that he simply wasn't fun to use in Melee. He was too damn clunky to be functional.

1. Marht is my ally. His duncing skills has saved my hide on several occasions.
3. It wasn't a volcano, it was a chasm at the heart of Death Valley.
2. I didn't preform surgery on an armadillo, I was fishing with a samurai to capture the legendary catfish Namazu. Didn't exactly succeed with the mission yet.

It will either be called Super Smash Bros. Riot, or Super Smash Bros. Slugglfest.


Oh, yeah, there is not right or wrong, but the ideal is to try each character in each game (since they all get rebalanced) and then pick the ones you like the most based on how they play.

But then again I wonder who does that? A lot of peopl just pick cool looking characters and play them because of that. Others will choose some based on how easy they are to learn (SSF4 online=Ryu and Ken, THE GAME), others will choose them based on their ranking in tier lists...

Ah well, guess I'll be the only one having fun giving each and every character a fair run in fighting games...

Riot doesn't really stick. When you say riot i think strike, and idk why Nintendo characters would go on strike.
Well maybe Mario could go on strike for being over worked and being VVhored out in so many games.
Speaking of being VVhored out to many games, Sluggfest sounds like a subtitle of yet another Mario Baseball game.

Rumble sounds fine to me, plus as I said before with the potential inclusion of Little Mac joining it works all the better:

Honestly the only real names I've been liking so far is Universe/U and 3D, maybe it's because I haven't heard it through the announcer's voice but all of the suggestions I've heard sound somewhat cheesy to me.

Clash and Rumble sound to generic, and 3D, U and Universe aren't synonims for "fight" if this game breaks that pattern for the Western Games I'll be disappointed.

Riot, may sound like "stike" to you, but Riot is closer to Melee or Brawl in terms of meaning.

Slugfest, is the same.

Clash is more like Conflict, and Rumble doesn't necessarily imply fighting.

Kerffufle is just silly, as is Fisticuffs. There are several synonims for "fight" but not all carry the same intesity as Brawl or Melee.

Tussle isn't strong enough of a word. Fray is alright, but it doesn't quite flow as well as other options. Clash works but it rhymes with Smash, and that could make it tricky. Skirmish is more military.

The only others I can see working at this point, other than what I've said are Strife, and Battle, and Battle like clash and Rumble is awfully generic. Melee was an uncommon synonym and Brawl while less uncommon, is still rather uncommon.
