The quote was more along the lines of if there was a new The Mysterious Murasame Game, the protagonist (Takamaru) might be included in Super Smash Bros.

Not sure if the varies ports of The Mysterious Murasame Castle and the references in varies games (Captain Rainbow, Samurai Warriors 3, Nintendo Land etc.) would be good enough.

Does anyone remember how Sakurai felt about originally adding the then Japan only FE characters to the NA Melee? Do you think he would have reservations about adding Takamaru?

They all think Chrom is a shoe-in too.

That was probably Yosef. He died out long before I even had a Youtube account. A good amount of people there are pretty smart now such as Olekidsf, DedicatedSpecialist, and Ravenkingsage. DemonOverseer was pretty good too until he started a new channel doing new things

Oh, I remember that. IIRC, it was pizzadudemanguy and yosef-something, and then they took it down because yosef (the guy with Masked Dedede and Dr. Styles) lost.

Was just going to say that. Personally she's my favorite character to come out of FE13, but that's besides the point.

Cherche is definitely one of my favorites, with Kellam, Lon'Qu, Cordelia, and Olivia being the ones above her (and Tiki, but she's been in the series before Awakening).

Actually it more along the lines of the localization team having plans to remove the Fire Emblem characters for regions outside of Japan, but due to positive reception from the staff and fans, Marth and Roy were kept.

I wouldn't technically call it the same scenario, mainly because the character has appeared globally via Samurai Warriors 3 and Nintendo Land. Also there's the rumor of there being a VC re-release of The Mysterious Murasame Castle that's going to be released globally for the first time.

In terms of practicality, I would agree that a Marth, Ike, Lyn, and Roy roster would be ideal. I will never get my Eirika, and I've accepted that.

Fire Emblem games are not too drastic when it comes to differences, so it makes sense why the scores are so broad. However, the NES titles of the series (especially Gaiden) feel different from later titles.

However, I strongly doubt Anna would even get in as a Master Knight). I mostly just care about Marth, Roy, and Ike though. Fourth spot could go to Tharja for all I care.

I just remembered that I wanted to reply to this.

I always thought that an opossum would make the perfect Normal-Ghost Type. Y'know, with the fact that it is an ordinary fluffy creature (hence the normal type) that can feign death, for the Ghost-aspect. Opossoul would be a kickass name.

Completely off topic, but I decided to reply to myself, but within reason. Being that I'm absolutely terrible at anything that could be considered art, and I only have MSPain(t) to assist me, I decided to..."draw"...what Opossoul would look like. Well, the basic stage, anyway. God only knows how I would butcher an evolution...

Anyway, here's a rough idea of what the first stage in the Opossoul line would look like.

Basically, in universe, it almost gets the Sudowoodo treatment in the sense that it fools the foe into thinking it is something it's not. In this case, it deceives the foe into thinking that it is not a Ghost-type, due to its only vaguely ghost-like colors. When performing Ghost-type attacks, it shuts its eyes, giving the appearance that it fainted or died, due to the "X" markings. It's very timid, but its scythe-like tail is used in more dire situations.

In game, I imagine its line would specialize in "tricky" moves, such as Trick Room and such, as well as introducing a signature Physical Ghost move, Tail Reap, or something. The evolved form (Reapossum, maybe?) would be taller, lankier, and mangier, and lose the adorableness. But I'm not attempting to draw that one...




Anyway, just a silly idea I had to pass the time. What else could I do on a Saturday night?

Being part Psychic wouldn't really benefit Golduck in the long run. The problem is that Golduck is just generally a mediocre Water-type due to it's average balanced stats. However, it does have a decent movepool to use.

THIS. A Ridley and Mega Man confirmation at E3 would put a smile in my face to see dedekong flail around saying "But I never said it was a FACT that Mega Man would never get in... just was expressing my opinion".

Did anyone else have Smash bros character / general ideas when they were kids? After Melee, I remember wanting Wario, Daisy, Dixie Kong, Diddy Kong, Charizard, Suicune, Meta Knight, Majora, Rick, Bub and Bob. Anyone else have a childhood list? I wish I could find where I put the notebook it's in. I specifically remember the notebook as well.

I think I made a few back in 2007/2008 about characters I wanted to see. Needless to say, the wishlists I made back in 2007/2008 were filled with DBZ characters and had waaaaayyyy too many characters to boot. That said, I never expressed those hilariously unrealistic wishlist online and didn't really bother to support any characters (since I was never on pre-Brawl, just checked for news).

Because people don't want to accept Chrom being the rep and try to make excuses to why other characters are more plausible even though Chrom is pretty much the most likely newcomer that could be in this game with only Mewtwo and its awakened form coming close. Once they learn to accept it then we will move on. Of course I'm sure there will be lots of complaining from some people the day he is confirmed.

UberPyro46 is one user to watch out for. He has posted a few times on Smashboards, so he'll be back talking about how Chrom is somehow more likely than other more worthy newcomers. Chrom is a candidate, but he's nowhere near shoe-in status.

I didn't know people really DISLIKED Chrom. I mean, I don't see why. He's alright. My favorite lords are Eirika and Ephraim.

It's not that I hate Chrom or even am against him so much as I get tired of hearing of his so-called shoe-in and/or entitled status given by many people.

Well, I mean, the reason practically every FE character was included was because IS said "you could add x". So It's definitely not out of the realm of possibility ya know.

My main issues comes from the many people who treat Chrom as "t3h inevitable" or a must-have just because of his game selling well (no newcomer can claim to be a shoe-in and no individual newcomer is going to make a significant difference in sales). People who like the idea of him getting in and support him for who he is rather than because "Awakening deserves a rep!" and think he's a realistic (or even likely) and avoid statements like the one UberPyro made are those I'm fine with.

I also want Snake confirmed to be returning just so I can see his rage.

I honestly have a hard time seeing Snake and Sonic getting confirmed at E3 if they return. So even if Mega Man and Ridley gets confirmed at E3, we'll be dealing with dedekong attacking Snake until his confirmation (assuming he's in).
