Is it me, or does the new Ray Gun has some sort of MegaMan Zero/ZX-ish kind of style?

How does one tell if the tuna is pale, let alone covered in alfredo sauce mixed with fettuccine?

There are accounts of both turkey and venison.
But unlike today, turkey was not the "prime" bird. It was pretty much all fowl in general that could be hunted.

They are a nice throwback and wouldn't be that big of an issue for the 3DS.

But my name is like super duper special and is not capitalized on purpose. D: If I wanted a capitalized name I would have use something different like Zelrig, Funyarinpa, or The Outsider or something like that. But mimgrim is special and must be capitalized. If you want to capitalize call me Mim, Memo, Grim, Mimmy, Grimmy, MimmyGrimmy, Mimbo, MimboJet, or MimboFapJet. And yes those are nicknames I have been called in the past lol.

About the Ray Gun redesign... Sakurai's comment on Miiverse reinforces his stance on realistic guns in Smash... I think it is clear that it also means that characters who use realistic guns in their games are most likely not getting in.

I'd say that even if a character has realistic guns in their games, if they have got any other types of weaponry on them they could use instead such as explosives and all (like Snake does), Sakurai might give them a pass. At least by seeing how things are... :T

There aren't really that many Nintendo characters who primarily use realistic guns anyway. At least not that many I know of....

In all seriousness, I do hope that we get all new Assist Trophies. I wasn't too fond of any in particular, so some new mechanics would be interesting to say the least.

I bet the reason Sakurai hasn't shown Assist Trophies yet is because he knows they will kill the hype when characters get deconfirmed... and it's not as ambiguous as Toad's possible deconfirmation.

Yeah I'm sure he has caught on to it that people don't really tend to like them, especially if he uses characters people support for a playable status. It would certainly be interesting what he plans to do with it though. :/

You mean to say that instead of fans individually getting disappointed to see their favourite character disconfirmed, the whole fanbase will turn into a huge meltdown of panic knowing what these Assist Trophies (aka death sentences) could possibly mean to their supported characters? :T

Yes, when SSB4 comes out without Sakurai revealing the Assist Trophies... and we see the final roster... and we find out who are the Assist Trophies when we actually play the game... the supervolcano...

It is a possibility.

I highly doubt it, since i think they were pretty awesome and people liked it in general (other than it destroying you out right, which was the point of items adding RNG. Goldeen op). I think they would cut the less popular items, like (imo) the magic-flowerthing (that bonks you and you take 1% for a few seconds)

That's naive thinking.

Many items were changed or even switched out and removed between all three games. This is Smash, guys. If Brawl didn't teach you anything, it should be that just because something was in a previous game and/or was even well liked does not guarantee that it'll return for the next installment or return in it's same peak and prime as the previous games.

Go into this game with that mindset and maybe some of your expectations, if you have any left, will seem a bit more realistic.

Yeah they do seem a bit desperate, but i think i like Nintendo better when they are desperate.
it forces them to reevaluate themselves and and see what they need to be successful.

Of course; they're trying to set up momentum for those games but that really isn't that much of a surprise. Nintendo has made it widely apparent since August that there was going to be a major push when it came to Wii U sales at the end of this year when they admitted to the price drop rumors.

saying characters who only use guns couldn't work is silly... they could just make them into captain falcon clones! like you know... ganondorf... just strip them of their weapons and have them punch away. I mean falcon himself is from a racing game and plays by punching people in the face. clearly there is room for creativity if a popular character that has a moveset that doesn't lend itself to fighting games.... spacies anyone?
