Speaking which, I dunno but I've been thinking of providing a logo and some other stuff like emblems to gather this whole thing up. And maybe we shall just call it S.W.F (Can be abbreviated as Smash World Fighters/Family)

Since we have nothing to do until E3, this might pass us some time if we'll work on this. (And who knows, new posters might truly regard us as this big-wig well-known and respectable community.)

Don't worry we're seen as a community, at least as much of one as the other cliques on SWF like the Character Mains, Disco Roomers, Debaters, Decisive Gamers, MYOM guys, etc. Wouldn't hurt to get the social groups back though.

Speaking which, where's Luco?

He still pops in everyday, just not on any of the Smash 4 threads. He's still up for talking Smash 4 based on PMs he's sent me so he'll probably be back around E3.

There is like only five weeks left until the unveil, yet everything still seems the same. I think we are going to get a deluge of new posters before the unveil, however, its a matter of which week it will happen.

I think next week is when the hype train will start to leave the station, maybe the week after next at the latest.

This is perhaps the last "calm" we will be able to have for the pre-Smash 4 period.

We're already starting to get a bunch of new posters.

Things are still quite "calm" though. Its going to be a whole new world once Smash 4 is unveiled. Pre-Brawl only really started to get really psychotic and fanboy crazy after Brawl was actually unveiled.

Phase II (when a Smash Bros. game is formally unveiled) is the period where there is far more activity and discussion and various other insanity than when absolutely no information about the game was known.

For Melee, Phase 2 only lasted 6-7 months.
For Brawl, it lasted about 1.5 years.

For Smash 4, assuming Smash 4 is released for Q4 2014, its going to be 1.5 years.

1.5 years may sound like a short amount of time, but due to how much stuff will be going on, its going to seem much, much more eventful than the last 5.5 years in which we have been waiting for ANY information pertaining to Smash 4.

Seriously. After the announcement at 2011 E3, things went crazy. The thread back then was gaining a new page every 15 minutes. I mean, heck, A LOT of the posters around here became active again / signed up around that time.

E3 is during finals week so, my Character Rigging class and my Game Assets Development class fall on wednesday and thursday respectively of E3 and i have to do all my final work one week early if i want to go to E3 since i wont be attending the classes on that week... well... except Level design which is on a saturday. (pretty sure im dropping materials and lighting... so **** that class)

(oh, and i have 49 out of 50 achievements in bayonetta, so ****ing close!)

Even if 23 is a lopsided year for you, you at least get to look forward to the Ridley E3 2013 reveal. Clearly only a Strong person would be willing to put Ridley in E3 2013 and we all know Sakurai is Strong.

I hope so. Then I create my Mega Man for SSB4 social group, Knight of Elibe can return as a social group, and best of all, the speculation group along with the backroom can return.

Dude. Impossible Creatures was INCREDIBLE. I had a fleet of Whale-Owl Hybrids. My enemies never stood a chance.

Also, once we start getting real information, I'll probably come back to speculate more. Let's hope we get some actual juicy stuff to latch onto since it will need to last us for many months before the Dojo is up.

This is actually the first forum I've been on. I find it funny that I found a forum for the franchise after around 10 years of playing the games.

I remember my first internet forum I joined. It was a dutch gaming site back when I used to live in the Netherlands. I was such a newbie when it came to forums back then. The memories. I feel sorry for the mods who had to deal with my newbieness.

Anyways. I need to remind myself to visit an internet cafe once E3 starts since I don't want to deal with the same fiasco I had to when Newtwo was revealed and the last Nintendo Direct. The laptop shuts down suddenly because there is too much traffic on the internet. I need to buy a new one... Since this laptop is not going to like it once the "Hype Tsunami" starts. >_>

By "joined", do you mean the first forum you were active on? Because I technically "joined" an emulation forum back in Middle or High School, but only asked one question. Really Smashboards was the first forum I was active on.

First forum I joined was this, was nervous about joining one due to my school campaigning about the dangers of chatting online, hence why I have the username that I do. I'm only on 3 other major forums but this is the one that I really do anything with.

Like most everyone who first joined, I was a noob who didn't know what I was talking about or what I wanted, and I was too young to do anything with new competitive Brawl scene.

Sounds rough, though honestly if I was in the same position I'd make the same choice. Good to hear that you can still scout.

Kinda surprised you have your finals in June, where I'm at all the major universities have already let out. I finished my finals two weeks ago.

Serebii was the first forum I joined (don't go there anymore). I remember one time when I made an order of all Pokémon as of Gen III listed in an order similar to the Johto Pokédex of GSC. Instead of posting a single big picture or a type out list, I went with using their smilies (they have all Pokémon menu icons from game as smilies), thus having a single post with over 400 animated simlies (I was a noob at forums at the time). A mod had to disable smilies on that post, locked it, and asked if I was stupid. Ah, the good times I had.

Only three forums I post on are this site, GameFAQs, and NeoGAF. I also used to post on Nsider back before it was shut down.

On GameFAQs and NeoGAF, I only talk about Smash Bros.

Smash 4 is the only game I am looking forward to right now.
