I might've found (and caught) a shiny in my old Gold or Crystal versions, but the first one I can remember was a gold Swalbu on Route 114 on Pokemon Ruby back in the summer of 2003.
I don't think that grinding through random battles is really harder as much as it is more tedious. Maybe you don't have a lot of time on your schedule to do that, but you still want to find a shiny.
Plus, it's not like he's cheating or anything. He put the hard work into building and programming that thing, which is nifty.
Anyone get very far in the Battle Maison yet? I lost at 37 in Super Singles because Ninetales was immobilized by love for three turns in a row and the Focus Blast that mattered crit-ed my Mega Kangaskhan. My roommate and I are going to try Super Multi Battles with a super gimmicky dual-weather team and see how far we can get.
I heard there was one super ******* team in Multi/Double battles around the 40 streak mark in which a max Speed Delibird with Choice Scarf uses Frost Breath on the ally Tauros packing both Anger Point and Yache Berry (Anger Point raises your attack six stages, or x4, if hit by a critical attack and Frost Breath always crits, Yache Berry reduces damage from Ice type attacks). Tauros, boasting an impressive base 110 Speed, can wreck face with max attack Earthquake and Rock Slide. And apparently rumor has it that Trainers can Mega Evolve their Pokemon after an incredibly high streak...

I don't think chain fishing is hard. You literally get a Pokemon with Suction Cups (like my Malamar) and then keep casting over and over. If it's not shiny, run. If it's a different Pokemon, it doesn't break your chain. It's actually very easy to do.

I am looking forward to trying out Marth in this game. Especially knowing that the speed of the game has been increased higher than brawl. No more sluggish and slow sword moves from Marth like how they were in brawl.
Swampasaur, I see what you mean. Honestly, the second pic looks like a new taunt. The third one seems to be his idle animation. But I really don't know what to say for the first one.
We're slowly chipping away with everyone from this original image. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if we got at least two more of them before the year came to a close.
