i'd be alright with this ridley.

perfect stance, but i would just like to edit... his beak to be more, metroid prime 3.

also, I'm in the category of smash fans that doesn't believe ridley's moves IN GAME can/should reflect on his smash moves. Nowadays, I believe all his moves should be smashinized to prepare for speed, range, distance, hitstun (if any). My major gripe is his tail grind which most will say to be his down B. unless you give him hitstun armor, the move is useless. giving it armor will make it OP. speed it up will probably make it useful without armor, but the start up will be too predictable for Marth players.
I really want ridley in, i just don't want him to be crap, which is why i shoot him down often.
i would like up B to be flight mode, and down B to be king dedede's up b. incredible recovery, hard to knock off, but brawl bowser walk speed, charizard dash speed. samus attack speed.
he should also glide like meta knight.... his aerial speed should be greater than his ground speed.

In all seriousness, after the Wii Fit Trainer I have no idea what to expect anymore when it comes to new characters.

Major characters from continuing Nintendo owned franchises (such as the Wii Fit Trainer, from Wii Fit, which has sold over 40 million units in 2 games), well-known 3rd party characters (who are the main characters of their franchise), and the main characters very minor/discontinued Nintendo-owned franchises.

Morons are just deep reading it. I mean, why wouldn't Sakurai add the character with the most potential for uniqueness who could essentially change smash bros forever with his incredible moveset, skillset, and playstyle=???

Nah, he'd rather add 5 clones of Mario named Toad, Toadette, Waluigi, and other piece of crap suggestions like GameFAQs wants like he did in Brawl.

It is a sad day when I'm the least pessimistic person on the subject (except for John's bald self, of course).

Really, I'd welcome an official de/confirmation from Sakurai himself right now. If you aren't him, please stop pretending you know this to be official.

Sakurai just wants to hog more attention to his game and the Wii U until he confirms Ridley. He's going to prolong this like he did with Ness, and like he is doing (although to a lesser extent) with Little Mac and Miis, and to a lesser extent Chrom. After all this I am expecting him to do this with K. Rool.

I mean, really, if he deconfirmed Ridley soon or later, eventually, that would turn a few people away, which last I checked, could mean less money, which last I checked, is what business is run on. Oh, and the last time I looked more people viewed Melee, a 12 year old game, at Evo, than bought a Wii U, a (then) half year or so old console that was way stronger than any other console on the market, over a 3 month period.

So yeah, let's piss off the one consumer base left that buys Wii U's. Maybe next Nintendo will kill the Wii Sports-esk games fans love of Nintendo next! I mean, they seem to be doing stupid crap like crazy (Pikmin 3 with no online [this isn't 1927 anymore Nintendo], defending their stupid region-locking while Sony and Microsoft piss on them for it, wireless only controllers, crap for titles on the Wii U), so I guess this would be the next step in their de-evolution. Heck, ever since the Wii their consoles and games have gone way down in quality.

The worst offender is ChronoBound.

ChronoBound gets more negative and more negative with each of his posts each week. He went from cheery in 2007 to straight up clinically depressed in 2013.

Characters like Ridley and Lil'mac have been wanted for a LOOONNGG time now, so it would make sense that Sakurai would put characters like them in the game.

However, pissing off paying customers will definitely take away from the "customer loyalty" thing that Nintendo has going for them with the Wii U... which is honestly the only thing Nintendo has going for the Wii U.

Doing more things to annoy said group isn't going to help in any way, shape, or form, especially since the Wii U seems to be practically drunk and in the gutter right now. I'm not saying it will meet the same fate as Edgar Allan Poe... at least not this year or next year. But yeah, the console is in scary bad times right now.

I think unless either DKC Tropical Freeze, Mario generic World, or Mario Kart generic catches fire, the PS4 will pass the console in terms of units sold halfway through 2014, and the Xbox One will follow suite by the end of February 2014.

What's funny is how many mannerisms we don't know we have. Sure, I have my forced "=???" "awesome" "super awesome" and whatnot, but man, I have a lot of subconscious other phrases like "also" "yeah" and "and" to start sentences... which is really... "off" (?) to me.
