IMO, all these Ridley reactions pretty much confirm everything I've ever said about speculation on here

Obviously there's a lot of good reasons why Ridley is a solid choice as a playable character, but y'all also gotta remember this is Sakurai we're talking about. He's his own person, with his own standards and preferences and all that ish. Your understanding of how the characters get in, sensible as they may be, aren't always if ever going to align with Sakurai's reasonings, which a lot of times, aren't even consistent for each game. For Melee, he almost replaced Ness with Lucas, yet in Brawl, both Ness and Lucas ended up returning. He turned down Village in Brawl for some pretty solid reasoning yet ended up being the very first newcomer revealed for Smash 4. Ain't that some ****?

So whether he ends up playable or not, try not to think too much about it and just let it ride. I mean, it's already been decided anyway whether he's in or not, as with every other character

My thought for Ridley's Final Smash; It's slightly similar to Ganondorf's, but he grows huge, grabs the stage, and shoots a huge fireball that slowly moves(not super slow), and can nearly K.O. anyone by dragging them along. You'll slowly move up as you're hit, so it's escapable, but it still deals a lot of damage.

People are looking for clarification to Sakurai's comments sometime this week. I'm not sure if the answer will come this week or if it will be the answer they are looking for
I don't mind if we get Ridley as a stage hazard as long as King K. Rool doesn't suffer the same fate...

People have been speculating as to what is either certain or not a possibility, but when that time comes it's like they immediately forget what they've been discussing and just dread about what will happen. Just relax because at the end of the day, its just a game and most of us will buy it anyway even if our favourite character isn't playable. (Hell I've pretty much accepted the fact Ceada and Rosalina have zero chance of being playable.)
