The Nintendogs will definitely not be tournament legal.

Skyloft is a big question mark, depending upon whether or not there are intereferences or walk off portions (the latter of which killed Delfino Plaza as a counter-pick stage, although sadly vertical combos and chain grabs lead to many stages getting banned). I doubt Skyloft will be universally legal if it is tournament legal.

Is the Reset Bomb Forrest that Kid Icarus: Uprising stage=??? Because if so, it looks super-banned.

It appears you can go under the bricks, as well as on top of them.

That and the probable fact that the Nintendogs stage is a walk off stage (as well as probably a very big stage) equals it being a stage that is banned, probably, before Smash 3DS is released, which IMO is the right move.

Overall I think Smash 3DS is gonna have A LOT of banned stages. It wouldn't surprise me if it had about as many or more banned stages than Brawl.

I understand Skyloft and Nintendogs but why Reset Bomb? We have no idea if the stage is affected by hazards and if it has walk off ledges or anything. I'd put it as a question mark too.

Am hoping Sakurai sees it fit to show the 'flashy' stages first. Am thinking we'll at least will have more viable stages than in Brawl. At least, I hope so. If not, we'll always have Battlefield, Smash Ville and Final Destination.

Skyloft looks better thus far than Delfino Plaza did. Am certain we'll be able to use it competitively.

Hmmm, I wonder if Wuhu Island is the main stage and you can travel to the Pilotwings area as an easter egg. It would be neat if, to a certain extent of course, you could control the direction the plane goes to during certain parts of its course by "weighing down" either side of its wings, influencing the direction it turns. Perhaps if you choose the proper path, you can travel to the Pilotwings area.

That's just me thinking way too much about it though.

I think it's possible to implement it by comparing the character weight on each side of the plane.

If you wanna go nuts for a "new" game, go nuts for BioShock Infinite, The Walking Dead, The Last Of Us, or GTA V (SO HYPED!!!). Plus heck, I bought a ton of games during and right after the Steam sale. I freaking got Saint's Row The Third: Complete Edition for about $6, and I still haven't gotten too far into it because the $5 sale on Fallout: New Vegas (Ultimate Edition) and Fallout 3 (Game of the Year Edition) have consumed me.

As for the stage, I imagine that while on the ground, you'll be flying around the island like so:

At first this screenshot had me confused and little bit wierding out why Wuhu Island was on the background. I think this would go two ways? Is Wuhu Island a location, or just a background cameo?

If Wuhu Island is just a background cameo I'd be sad for that would deconfirm Wuhu Island Resort as a stage, but if not, then HOLY ****ING MOLEY SAKURAI YOU GENIUS

I mean think: the trip starts from Pilotwings Port and then goes for a long trip on Wuhu Island! Like 2 birds in one stone!

I just hope my prediction comes true because I was really looking forward to Wuhu Island as a stage and this being it's alternative would be bit.. underwhelming. (Especially after considering the vast popularity and obsessiveness of Nintendo on Mii-series)

That added piece of land to Wuhu Island....i think it might be the N64 section. If you see that strange rock formation i think it may be the Mt. Rushmore from Pilotwings 64.

Make Wuhu Island it's own stage. I think Pilotwings should focus on flying more then the land. Although, it seems possible since the current picture makes it look like the plane is landing.

Believe me, I'm a quite casual competitive Smasher I even had to make myself use a lot of Low Tier characters cause my friends couldn't beat me otherwise (mostly in Brawl, but Diddy and Pikachu are my only Top / High Tier characters anyway).

Competitive stages are always better in my opinion. I just hate stage distractions with a passion more fierce than Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire. However, I do like some non-viable stages in Brawl. Halberd, Jungle Japes, Brinstar, Mario Circuit and Castle Seige for example. Although those where all viable, or counter-pick stages at some point.

Anyways, major stage obstacles suck.

Unless it's that Gaint Bullet Bill from Peach's Castle. I ****ing LOVED that thing. Crashing into the stage randomly. I really miss that stage.

Also, have I missed out majorly by not having ever played Pilotwings?

To be honest doesn't look like you can get hit by the planes propeller. If you look where Samus and Link are standing even if they were to go closer to the propeller logically they would not hit it, since they are on the wings of the plane.

So, just read a huge thread on Mario Circuit, here's to hoping for a cool Mario Cart stage this time around!

And to mention, I could see us fighting on just one plane on the new stage. Doesn't look much smaller then the starting transformation of Castle Siege.

Know what would be awesome? An actual moving Mario Kart stage. There are a few karts, and they are all basically Double Dash -styled. Driven by characters who are OBVIOUSLY not going to be playable. As: Petey Piranha, King Boo, Koopa / Paratroopa, Toadette (heck a regular Toad could work as well, they're generic), Daisy, WALUIGI, and the Karts serve as platforms. If you hit the floor, it's basically like in Big Blue, yet the Karts NEARLY don't go as fast. But slower characters can still be in problem. The Karts could hit you, doing small damage and knockback, causing you to get back on stage. UNLESS, those damn NPCs throw items at you. Yes, ITEMS. Blue Shells, Red Shells, Green Shells, Bananas, Lightning Bolts, EVERYTHING. This will probably never happen, but it would be awesome anyway.
