After looking at the city folk stage screenshot, I'm convinced that it's the same stage but the camera is so zoomed in that you don't see the actual stage (look how the scene is inclined in the pic) here's the other screenshot I checked:

Well, that fully answers that. Cool none the less.

Maybe it's a picture of a Trophy instead? It would explain the lack of... everything besides the background. I'm sure it's the stage itself, of course.

K.K. Slider may appear depending on the stages. If the Old Smashville from Brawl is available, he might only be on there. Or he might be on any. Who knows?

For regular, I want Pierce. Because Pierce. I seem to get him in my playthroughs pretty often. And yeah, the poor cops are always split-up. It wasn't taken too well at all...

I also want the theme of the stage to change for certain months.

At least it's less annoying in Smash, where being asleep means you can't move. Of course, being attacked wakes you up, but...

I'm pretty sure you have to attack them with Rocks to be super effective.

But anyway, hope he's a Pokeball Pokemon again, although I doubt it. Actually, I could see Dragonite appearing in a Pokeball, since he's a prominent member of Iris' team in the Anime. I mean, Pokemon from the 5th and 6th Gen will surely show up, but that could be interesting too.

Also, Charizard should be able to turn around with his Flamethrower much like he did as a Pokéball Pokémon in 64 / Melee.

Even if Trainer is playable again with the same set, there's no reason for him to not be a Pokeball.(well, unless Sakurai wants to concentrate the Poke Balls on the other Generations, which he did overdo it in Brawl on the 3rd Gen.) Of course, him only putting in one of every evolution(in Poke Balls) isn't too odd either. Has he done a repeat in the same game? To clarify, I mean Poke Balls only. I know that Saffron City has Charmander, but that's a Stage Hazard. I more or less mean where under the same category, two of the same line have appeared.(Stage Hazard and Poke Balls count for this. And yes, I know that he's done that for Pikachu and Pichu, but I mean besides those guys)

He said he was having trouble with them, but has not removed anyone at that time.

So basically, we don't know. He has not given a single related statement to it as of this time, so them coming back is completely in the air. Since they represent an entire franchise, I'm sure he's trying his best to make sure they're kept in. But it's not guaranteed at all.

I doubt they'll leave, though.
