I think Matthew's battle theme might actually be my second favourite of the main character battle themes* after Isaac's.

No, it isn't. Matthew has an interesting variation of Isaac's core design.

Honestly, that'd be kind of a buzzkill for me. I don't hate Dark Dawn, but I didn't like it anywhere near as much as the first 2 games either. Matthew should only be getting in if he's echoing Isaac, but even then I'd much prefer Felix as an echo over Matthew.
Maybe Matthew could take over Isaac's old role as an assist trophy and push opponents with move psynergy?

This guy was talking about characters he think will get in and he mentioned that the Golden Sun song was removed from the Metroid stage?
He starts talking about Isaac around the 3:35 point.
What do we know about this? Is it something from the direct?
I mean it makes sense that a Golden Sun song wouldn't be listed with the Metroid songs in My Music. Just because it plays on a Metroid stage doesn't make it a Metroid song.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
So i'll throw me hat into the discussion once again. This time, after looking up a bunch of JRPG battle screens.Something I was thinking about the picture Sakurai tweeted the other day. Aside from everything we've already talked about like the camera angle and the setting among other things there's something interesting I noticed.
Maybe I'm wrong in thinking this but have a look at the picture:
I'm not sure if this is even worth mentioning but notice how close the characters are standing to each other. It's probably present in other JRPGs but Golden Sun seems notable to me in the sense that it places it's party members very close to each other on the battle screen. They're almost on top of each other.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think any Final Fantasy games with a camera angle similar to this places their characters so close to each other on the battlefield?
I'm probably splitting hairs with this (and with the way Smash Bros is set up they probably couldn't have placed them further apart and get the same tone....but it's still interesting.
One detail underlooked is that the ordering of first to last character that has joined in turn based RPG's is usually from right to left. This of course appilies to RPG's that have the heroes in a row, not in different patterns, such as Breath of Fire or Suidken, as an example.
Take Final Fantasy for example. It has the heroes trailing down from the right to the left.
Yet in Golden Sun, it's the opposite.
And while other RPG's like SMT 3, Skies of Arcadia, and even Dragon Quest 11 have this ordering as well, they are usually centered fro behind.
Like i said, there is a reason most RPG's don't the angles that Camelot likes to use. Because it's an odd angle.
So the angle and the ordering together are the things holding this tease together from becoming a regular tweet.
Let's hope i'm not grasping at straws.
Well, stages can select songs based on the franchise they're based off of.
It could be in "Other".

I hear you, though I guess it’s kinda... inevitable to like it more since they’re the newest designs we have. Adult Isaac looks good as well imo. Young Isaac is maybe a little outdated as we haven’t seen him in quite a while. Then again, with Smash textures and Sakurai’s magic, any character will look good no matter what the design haha, so I’m totally expecting Isaac to look good when he joins the fray.

I've played FF7 (it's the only Final Fantasy I've completed) and Aerith's name is not spelt with an Accent.
Unless it's a screenshot from, like, the French release or something.

I know Aerith is spelled "Aeris" in the original game; what I'm saying is it's not spelled "Aéris".
Either that shot is from the French (or another EU) version of the game, or the person playing it deliberately gave Aerith an accented E to bug people.

The thing about the screenshot, though, is that you have to remember it was taken with the Smash engine. It's simply the assist, link, marth, shulk all in a straight line and then the camera slightly turned. Doing so happens to look like the Camelot angle, sure (and maybe the screen shot was intentionally made/tweeted to reference this, who knows), but you also couldn't do the Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest angle as easily because it wouldn't look the same with all the characters on the same linear plane (especially, if this was taken with the in-game camera mode you, you can only turn the camera so much).

I think I've heard from people that verge doesn't use 4Chan, but uses gameFAQs and a couple of other places I can't remember right now.
EDIT: and yeah, lights the lighthouse is an awful tagline.

You know, at first I didn't get the whole skull kid Isaac same reveal trailer but it's be cool if like leaden and Isaac are in the sol sanctum and that portal opens in the Luna room instead of the sol room and skull kid pops out of it.

I have never played Golden Sun. I don't know anything about Isaac outside of Smash Bros, but I'm supporting just because you guys deserve it. Isaac supporters imo got burned the worst among all the potential newcomers for Smash 4, by getting removed as an assist trophy. I don't even think he got a regular trophy. That's awful. Between that, and no new games, that utterly stinks. Yet despite this, you keep supporting. I'm hoping Isaac gets revealed not only because his fans deserve it for keeping up interest, but it might be the spark that helps revitalize the franchise.

If anything, the AT list is a hint that Isaac is playable. There isn't going to be a teaser for a mere AT and it's just furthering the picture's connections to Isaac and Golden Sun as a whole.
That said, that part's likely there to clarify that the Rathalos on-screen is the AT version.
Maaan I just wish that leak was real...its basically the perfect roster
