Someone actually put a imo futting voice into isaacs unfinished pm built. i think it is voiced by a fan, but it really suits him.

I thought it was Lucina as the hero cause she came back to save chrom and everyone else from the past. But it is preference and point of view which dictates that i suppose.

I'm losing track of how many times I've seen this image in this thread.
Imagine if they remade the series, but made it all be based in mechanics of Mario Tennis-games.
.Also the secret post-game boss is Waluigi
I'm not sure what villain character would be likely after Skull Kid though. I don't feel like there are any other villains that have a huge outcry or cult following behind them. Maybe Medusa/Hades but aside from that I'm not sure.
I kinda feel like the whole "start a direct with a hero, end with a villain" thing is really just a coincidence though.

Hades and Medusa are really the only villains that would be likely beyond skull kid.
It's just some toxic shantae fan who thinks k rool should have never been added to smash and that shantae is more iconic, LMAO
The way I see it is that if a popular indie character like shovel knight is an assist trophy then another popular one like shantae should have the same, no more no less. But to see them get this mad over a character is hilarious

People need to realize that Sakurai can only put in so many characters.
The dude needs a break. We should be thankful we're even getting this many new characters since 4 brought him to his breaking point.

I would like to add that when i voted for isaac in the polls i commented that if he was not possible a good 3rd party character would be knuckles for another sonic rep, or crystal for star fox and another female fighter. and the direct showed them in the order i had suggested them as assists....why must you toy with me sakurai!!!

No-one knows who K. Rool is which is why his trailer got over 900, 000 in just 6 days, beating out even someone like Simon Belmont (which is nothing but scoff at) and will eventually come to 1 million views soon. When is the last time any of Shantae's games even done that? Exactly. But hey, I guess kids these days are totally into stuff like Shantae. We all now her games are on par with Fortnite and Minecraft in terms of popularity with the modern audience, am I right?

I had an idea for an Isaac reveal trailer.
It would be in an anime style similar to the Palutena reveal trailer and it would begin with Saturos and Menardi fighting against a lone Isaac on top of Venus Lighthouse, his party members already knocked out. Just when it looks like Isaac is about to be defeated Link, Marth and Shulk show up to back him up and fight off Saturos and Menardi. At this point they fuse into Fusion Dragon and begin to overpower the heroes when Felix jumps in as an echo to help defeat Fusion Dragon.
Then Saturos and Menardi would be boss characters who fuse into Fusion Dragon during your fight against them.

When is the last time any of Shantae's games even done that? Exactly. But hey, I guess kids these days are totally into stuff like Shantae. We all now her games are on par with Fortnite and Minecraft in terms of popularity with the modern audience, am I right?

I was going to mention Shadow but he'd be an echo. So it wouldn't really fit into the "start a direct with a hero, end with a villain idea".Man, Isaac's thread has really taken off since the Direct, I just had to skip 20 pages, because if I try to keep up with both the Main Ultimate thread and Isaac's I'll never catch up here.

I would love for Fawful as another playable villain, but I can't see that happening. I feel like Fawful and Skull Kid would make an awesome tag team.

Disappointed? sure.

Just wanted to stop lurking around long enough to come out and show some support for our boy. All the Smash hype got me looking at these boards again (I haven't posted since Dec. 2014) and the Isaac hype has pushed me over the edge. 
I've been a Golden Sun fan since it first came out and I will admit that I thought the sun had proverbially set on our chances to get some major representation in the Smash series. I am stoked at how much people think the Sakurai tweet could be a reference to Golden Sun. I initially thought it was just an innocuous tweet, but the hype monster has me now. Plus, all the love that longtime requested characters are getting from Sakurai is super encouraging.
Also, as a child from the 80s, I have never felt older than knowing there are Isaac fans here that are younger than the Golden Sun games. Lol.
