I’m pretty sure the Trilogy is referring to a Metroid Prime Trilogy port to the Switch. Unless they do a HD Trilogy of the Zelda games being Wind Waker, Twilight Princess and a new HD remaster of Skyward Sword. But if it is Golden Sun, I will flip TF out.

Spoiler: Recent DLC List Leak?

So apparently, the next 4 DLC characters we might be getting are:

Eldrich - Dragon Quest
Ryu Hayabusa - Ninja Gaiden
Steve - Minecraft
Doom Guy - DOOM

Now, don’t get me wrong, this definitely sounds fake to me. I’m just saying that if this were true, then I would be ok with it and it’s only because Doom Guy is in the list. Ryu sounds cool too because I’ve played his NES games before. Other than that, it’s an “Ehh.” list. I probably would be more excited about it if Isaac was already playable (or if he was in the DLC list). Still, having Steve in instead of Banjo just seems wrong.

It doesn't confirm him, but the codename "Brave" in the data is pointing towards DQ as is. We have the other codenames as "Jack", which is likely Joker, and PP's own Japanese name put in English lettering.

However, this is still not confirmation for me that all 5 DLC characters will be third-party. Joker was unexpected, but I expected the unexpected third-party choice. Additionally, everyone and their mother knew Square would be getting another character. I still think a Nintendo character will be in the mix here, and Isaac makes the most sense.

Personally really hope it's related to Bravely Default/Second.
Apart from Isaac, the BD crew would be my most wanted tied with Elma and maybe MH. I can't express how hyped I would be if they got announced (I assume they'd do the 4 characters and give them each an alternate costume based on a job for 8 palettes in total).

True that. I still find speculating it fun though. I’ve got nothing else to lose at this point and everything to gain. What it will be that I’ll gain? Honestly, no clue. Doom Guy would be hype for me though (and the only one) IF the leak is true. But I’ll believe it when I see it.

What's funny is that, if leaks and datamines are correct and the 2nd dlc is Erdrick (or another retro DQ) we'd have two new RPG characters, from unrepresented franchises, one very recent, one very old. one is a pure warrior, the other an ESP/psychic ability user. If you get to the middle ground of all of that, not recent but not ancient, half warrior/half psychic: you get isaac. That is probably just a coincidence, even if the leaks and rumors are true. But I find it funny.

I’m personally hoping for a remake of the original games on the Switch. I also believe if that happens there is a good chance of it having voice acting.

I can see it now... the Nintendo direct openings up with the sounds of an intense storm and then you hear a woman’s voice say, “Isaac wake up!”

I literally try to remind myself it is his (and his team) game and they can choose as they think as well as how Nintendo does but man does it hurt. Specially because Sakurai seems to be incapable of actually addressing Isaac's popularity publicly, not even once has he said why he hasn't put Isaac in, despite the demand through the years

I like your A&C reference. Also I wonder if they would bother to do the remakes in 3D? The way the games are set up it wouldn't take much to recreate the characters, the background and landscape however might take a bit more work.
