Nobody can say for certain. It’s the best we have right now though.is the exit poll big enough? yknow, this one? https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...pw5m-b4JHJ0_cGRKU15KYlTe1E/edit#gid=729442469
Oops, my bad. Math was off. I was going off of what I found on the blog in the fighter tags. And I did include Robin, I must've accidentally forgotten his stock icon while editing.Hold on, hold on. First off, there are fifteen characters left to be shown. Falco has been shown, but Robin and Bayo haven't.
Next, there are seven weeks until release, since this week counts as well. So that would leave you with 20 (21 minus Luigi) - 15 (not fourteen) characters left = 5 unrevealed characters.
But then, that still doesn't account for the fact that there are a rising amount of two-character weeks without the necessary four-character weeks to balance in out, which makes all this data unreliable at best.
Do you mean "a snowball's chance in hell", by chance?snowglobe hell
I plan on getting a Switch... soon...Good news everyone!
Finally got my Switch yesterday. Spent all day playing it lol.
It also helped to reaffirm my belief that a Switch remake of Golden a Sun would be the best thing ever. Nnngh.
From what I understand, snowglobe hell refers to getting stuck as an Assist Trophy.Do you mean "a snowball's chance in hell", by chance?

I don't know whether to get a basic Switch and get Ultimate on cartridge, or get the special Smash Bros. Switch that's coming in November.
I completely understand if you can’t wait to play Smash but I feel obligated to remind people who haven’t bought a Switch yet to remember that the Wall Street Journal Japan leaked a new version of the Switch coming next year. So if you can wait, I understand if you can’t because I wouldn’t be able to, then wait.I plan on getting a Switch... soon...

Oh, I meant I'm torn between getting Smash on cartridge or as a digital download.I completely understand if you can’t wait to play Smash but I feel obligated to remind people who haven’t bought a Switch yet to remember that the Wall Street Journal Japan leaked a new version of the Switch coming next year. "rising" is a stretch. We had two 2-character weeks in a row, and yes, that can potentially continue, it doesn't seem to have, and we might even see another 4-character week come up as well. I'd say roughly 3-5 is a good estimate, but it could easily go higher or lower depending on what happens.Hold on, hold on. First off, there are fifteen characters left to be shown. Yeah I'm sticking with it as well. 5 is a pretty good bet IMO.Blog theory projects 4-6. Most realistically, 5. That's the number i've stuck with for my predictions.
Its probably not a "Pro" upgrade anyway. Its a small update at best, and it might even be phased in without warning (it could just be to redesign the insides a bit and fix the Tegra X1 exploit).Oh, I meant I'm torn between getting Smash on cartridge or as a digital download.
I'm getting a Switch in November regardless, I don't really care about "Pro" console upgrades.
In short, less than this one has now.Getting close to another achievement; 25k posts. Thats huge. How many posts did K and Ridley have?
Yes. Probably. On a side note, Do you guys think that Sakurai Is aware of how much demand there is for Isaac? Like does nintendo even check smashboards for fan information?
As pholtos says the Rathalos tweet is key to consider that. If at the end Isaac is not in, that tweet will just be a giant "?" with no sense at all. Even if Isaac is in but in DLC, it would be weird if he tweeted that with so much time between it and the DLC announcement....On a side note, Do you guys think that Sakurai Is aware of how much demand there is for Isaac? Like does nintendo even check smashboards for fan information?
It´s not that the other possible characters don´t need their own stage to be a newcomer is that we do need a Golden Sun stage for Isaac to be a PCEven if it was 103, it changes nothing. A lot of our rivals are from returning franchises. And if Ridley and King K Rool didn't get a new stage, you can be sure as cement that Bandana Dee or Geno won't either. The only two who goes stages were Inkling and Simon. That speaks volume.
Yeah I just think it would be weird and almost unprecedented to have a newcomer from a new series without a stage. That hasn’t happened since Melee except for R.O.B. who is a weird case. It´s not that the other possible characters don´t need their own stage to be a newcomer is that we do need a Golden Sun stage for Isaac to be a PC
Actually it doesn't! Ness, Captain Falcon, Marth, Roy and R.O.B all had their franchises introduced without a stage. While it is plausible that newcomers these days will have a stage, that is not the gospel truth as for three generations of Smash that was not the case. It´s not that the other possible characters don´t need their own stage to be a newcomer is that we do need a Golden Sun stage for Isaac to be a PC
Monster Hunter stage looks a to be a large, featureless flat plane. It's most certainly a boss fight arena in some sort of single player. You can see the same thing during the Dracula fight.ANot to mention there is already an unannounced Monster Hunter stage. There is no way it is just 103.
And yet we have a Dracula stage for Castlevania. Who's to say they wouldn't transform it into a normal stage like the Dracula's Castle?Monster Hunter stage looks a to be a large, featureless flat plane. It's most certainly a boss fight arena in some sort of single player. You can see the same thing during the Dracula fight.
Idk about Nintendo checking Smashboards but Sakurai has said in an interview that he does look at feedback on twitter. He also said he worries about it too much sometimes, so I cant imagine that with all the hype surrounding Ultimate, he wouldnt have at least peeked at the response to something as obscurely presented as the Rath pic.On a side note, Do you guys think that Sakurai Is aware of how much demand there is for Isaac? Like does nintendo even check smashboards for fan information?
It was some E3 video interview with either J.C., Bill or another Nintendo guy, but the quote was definitely something like, "If it's related to Smash Bros, and it's on the internet, Mr. Sakurai is aware of it." That kind of matches with how he wants to control people's expectations. On a side note, Do you guys think that Sakurai Is aware of how much demand there is for Isaac? And with that my hope is up.Whoa, now "this" tweet is just as suggestive as his "I have to speak in a way so that there are no misunderstandings" one
Admittedly from 2012, but check it.

"I don't like it when a tweet or whatever leads to needless speculation getting spread around," he wrote. "For example, when I tweet about playing some game, some people immediately get the idea that that character is in the new Smash Bros. Then people fan the flames on it, people start to think it's really true, people get angry about it. Nobody benefits."
Ill say it again, I believe we will be seeing our boy.
Welcome, fellow Adept, to the House of the Golden Sun! Make sure you see True Blue Warrior to join the support board!Hello.
New here just showing support for Isaac in Smash Ult.
I would if I had the game...or money for it. LolLol if anyone has sc6 play me, I just started it and I suck!!
All naysayers should just give up and go support Steve cause that is all we are getting!!! *wink wink* but while you do that I am gonna stay hype for any of my dream team to make it in. I refuse to believe that Smash team would just kill the hype train 3 months before launch then just leave it. If we dont get at least 8 total newcomers "if one is a Pokemon fine that is still 2 unknowns" I will be surprised. Smash has never had that few new characters in any release, so i think it is still highly probable.lol this hype police and pessimistic assumptions taken as solid, are both getting out of hand now… leave that for the general discussion thread. Support thread is for supporting, not the opposite.
I wouldn't be that fast to ascertain that.Whoa, now "this" tweet is just as suggestive as his "I have to speak in a way so that there are no misunderstandings" one

Link could have ready'd his bow, the characters could have used a more dynamic pose. It's either a Golden Sun or reference or just a cool picture as Sakurai said, but certainly not a Monster Hunter reference.I wouldn't be that fast to ascertain that.
I'm of mind that said picture was indeed a Golden Sun reference but at the same time there's always the chance that we looked in to it too much and it's just referencing Monster Hunter.

I think the pic would be way cooler if they were jumping/attacking rathalos in the screenshot instead of standing still in an "odd" formation, no? Just for the sake of possibility I will say there is a 1% chance that it isn't referencing anythingLink could have ready'd his bow, the characters could have used a more dynamic pose.
