Mainly cause Bandana Waddle Dee is simply more relevant than Isaac. That's kind of the simple truth of the matter. While I don't dislike Bandana waddle dee, I'd much prefer a new franchise get a turn in the spotlight than another already added one that's been in basically every previous game. Don't really know what folks see in him to be honest.

What if Isaac’s reveal was only cut from the September Direct because it contained an earthquake? It could’ve been seen as insensitive to leave that in.

Sukapon is on top of my "awesome retro designs that need a cool new game/reboot list". Joy Mecha Fight is super fun too.

Well our chances of having our time in the sun now are greater because we were able to organize back then. Even if Isaac, for some reason unbeknownst to me, misses the base roster AGAIN, we can easily just get together for DLC. I've only been around this thread for a short time, but I've always felt like I have some sort extended friend group who gets together over their love of Smash, GS, and gaming in general. Of course we're going to talk up a storm when we 're all a giant, weird friend circle.

And also I just feel so happy and proud of how far we have come. I started lurking around the page 60 or so and to see it has reached such a big point that people are sharing us on Twitter makes me feel happy to be a part and also more confident regarding Isaac 's chances

You guys might have wondered why I didn't post anything about my GS Playthrough Yesterday.

I was grinding Orihalcons. Why? No reason.

I'll be going through the Anemos Inner Sanctum; having just killed Sentinel (which was pretty difficult, tbh).

Tisiphone Edge is apparently the third best weapon in the game (after Sol Blade and Excalibur), and I somehow managed to get two of them without any amount of RNG Manipulation.

Lachesis' Rule is, physically speaking, the Strongest staff weapon; however, it's not as good as the Atropos' Rod, which I don't have.

Also,

~ Valkyrie ~ , as you can see, Isaac has mail for Valkyrie.

I probably shouldn't but thinking about that mech tweet Sakurai made worries me. If he made a tweet like that that long ago and it's amounted to nothing yet it makes me feel like the Rathalos tweet will be seen the same.

I don't think it was an actual tweet he made. During an interview someone asked him about a mech he bought, and he responded saying it was for a current project and he needed the gun specifically.

He's also said he's more careful what he tweets during smash cycles, and this would have been long before this smash cycle.

One thing I don't understand is the hype for Bandanna Dee. I've always liked the Waddle Dee characters, its just that he doesn't really bring that much to the table compared to other Kirby characters and other game franchises as a whole. Sure cool! A guy with a spear that's totally different than swinging a sword around, but not really. I've seen his move set in Kirby Star Allies and other games and they just don't excite I mean yeah he can throw his spear so that's kinda cool. But I feel Magolor and Marx deserve the spot way more for Kirby reps. I'ts really quite amazing how many people back the little guy in Smash. It's just my opinion, so Bandanna fans don't spear me.

Just a thought: How would the smashdown mode handle the miis and Pokemon trainer? Given that the Pokemon in the team count as individual fighters, but are swapable mid-match?

Personally, I'd like Bandana Dee to get a place in the roster to complete the modern Kirby set of playable characters. He's been in enough games now and shown his importance to the series that I think he's really earned his spot. I'm also quite a fan of spear-based movesets so slight weapon bias from me. Not to mention Dedede and Meta-Knight both technically are villain reps so to speak, or at least they've assumed an antagonistic role before, so having another Hero character from the Kirby franchise would be quite a difference and balance the cast out.

I feel like, when it comes to BDD, it’s not about his moveset potential. It’s because he’s cute and rising in popularity and is very relevant as well as being around for a while. And, as the internet has proven, being cute will ALWAYS win.

I’m not too excited for for the prospect of hat goomba either (I kid, I kid, I realize BDD is more than just a goomba with a hat). But I can understand the appeal. Not for me, but then again I’m not a huge Kirby fan to begin with.

Eh, most BWD fans are cool with counter opinions unless it comes to the Gameexplain court series (do you blame them).
Regardless he's my top pick because he is a main stay and can use Kirby abilities not in the game (most notably Spear and Parasol) as they givee him an entire unique moveset. Also he's adorable (that wins alot of support)

Going by the August Direct, the Miis are not selectable in that mode and the Pokémon Trainer is always counted as one character.

I'm not excited for BWD, but I understand how many fans he has, and the absolutely massive support he has from Japan.

If they take notes from Isabelle and Villager and give him some specials and smashes copy abilities Kirby doesn't use I'd be more than happy to give the little guy a few tries! I just feel like if they try to overly focus on the spear it might end up a little uninteresting like the Marth moveset ended up being (4+1/2 times lol)
