4 stages revealed?

no...Oh no.

I don't think this is real. But revealing 4 more stages with no other newcomers attached to it would make the last newcomers a lot more stressful.

No. Just this...."text leak" that says that 4 stages will be revealed this month. But that would be dumb and disappointing if it was. (It also said Tekken and Tales reps were in and revealed at the same time. lol.)
It just sounds like someone jumping at the chance to make a leak about the remaining stages that were mentioned in CoroCoro.

Notice how they say 4 stages will be revealed, leaving just 1 stage unrevealed. They want to make people sweat.

Particularly the people who want a character from a new series. (and there are plenty of popular characters that would introduce a new series to Smash)

Its dumb as hell. Definitely not real. Especially adding two playable unique Namco reps at once. Its just not happening.

Right, we need to be as loud and obvious as possible right now when they'll be starting to look for DLC options!
They probably already are, and if Isaac was not being worked on already you can bet after that Rathalos post Sakurai saw the GS responses.

His response: "Somebody get a team and start on Isaac DLC now!!!"

Probably not. Sakurai wouldn't be starting DLC this early (which is also why the notion of Vergeben's "SE newcomer" being DLC is COMPLETELY ridiculous).

Conversation over on the Elma thread right now brought up something interesting that I'm curious about.

A bit back, Sakurai tweeted out a picture of a mech model that he bought, but said that he was interested in the gun that came with it for model purposes (presumably for a new game). Elma hopefulls are taking this as a possible sign that Elma might be in Smash, since her guns kinda resemble the mech's gun from the model, but someone pointed out that this almost never gets brought up in speculation. I postulated that maybe it's just because people haven't heard of it, possibly because this came to before speculation was in full swing.

So, I guess to gauge a population of players who obviously do care about speculation and likely have had eyes on the scene for a while but have no inherent connection with Elma, had you guys heard about this, and if so, did you just disregard it? Sure, nothing from the model has come into fruition, but it's suspicious and I too am surprised to see that it's never mentioned.

I've heard about this, though I thought the mech model was supposedly supposed to be for a Skell for Elma, not a gun. Honestly I've been to the Geno thread and even they think that maybe the mech model's gun was maybe used by Sakurai for Geno's guns.

I want both Elma and Geno so I'd be happy either way if either were true.

I had heard about it, but in my research I didn't think the model's gun looked like any of Elma's notable weapons. When I first saw it I said to myself "If this is for Smash, it's for the Inkling" because it looked like the Splat Charger to me.

That tweet was in mid 2015 right...? That's worrying for both elma and Isaac fans.

I don't know where you've been, but this has been brought up A LOT in the past. Not just a small amount, either. Elma used to be one of THE MOST expected characters because of this (at least in areas where I've frequented), with only people expecting Rex and Pyra instead drowning it out, but Rex/Pyra talk died down a lot over time as it became more obvious that it didn't look like recent characters were going to get included.

Elma talk has more recently died down as well due to the additions being mostly big and popular characters so far. Elma doesn't exactly fit that criteria due to X's poor reception overall.

My man!

Only one day off from the Japan leak?
I don’t know about any leak. What did it say?

In September or October? Because, from my knowledge, Nintendo has never held a Smash Direct within the same moth as a Nintendo direct.
The 26th of this month! Nintendo has had quite a few announcements the past few years at the Tokyo Game Show so I believe it will be the same situation as Evo this year where they announce a Smash direct for the following Wednesday.

I can only see a Smash Direct this month if its a one-off reveal because a character got cut out from the previous Nintendo Direct like I'd been theorizing (let's be real, if a character was cut there's only one character who it could be).

If its a situation where they actually switched reveals instead, this won't happen, they'd just put the character they switched out into an already planned future event.

In my opinion I think they will air a Smash Direct in October, then a regular Direct in November and probably a final Smash Direct at the end of November / first week of December...

By the way, anyone knows how accurate LeakyPandy is? Just said that in the awards (the next week) they will show a new fighter from a game that will get an award and it will be included in the first Smash DLC....a bit too "precise" in the details, right? I'm not trusting that info.

If Isaac was cut from the direct then I could definitely see them revealing him at the TGS but I have always had a feeling we would get a Smash Direct this month or early October to cover Smash’s online features.

With how bad Nintendo’s Online Service is, they must be banking on Smash’s online features to sell it. I believe the free week starts today? Gonna need something to get more people to pay for it!

Leaky Pandy is pretty bad overall, but people keep believing them because they keep staking their 'Reputation' on their sources and people keep believing it.

How the heck is he predicting DLC when Smash isn't even out yet? smh.
They're assuming because Mewtwo was announced before Sm4sh came out (though it was already out on 3ds at that point.

IF they're announcing DLC NOW, they're not going to have even the wireframes they showed with Mewtwo's reveal. It's going to be just them coming up and saying "Yeah, here's the first DLC you have to pay for" and that doesn't feel like something Sakurai or Nintendo would do, not with nothing to show off.

This isn't the ESRB leak, and this certainly wouldn't be another "mewtwo" situation. The leaks about Mewtwo at least came out after/when the game was going gold.

This is 3 months before it's launch. And already, this scenario sounds like Nintendo Fanboys wet dream.

If DLC plans exist, which they probably do, as it would be myopic of Nintendo if they didn't, then it's possible to leak them.

Wasn't BotW's season pass thing revealed before release? Weren't Kirby's dream friends revealed before release? You think planning for that began, what, days before the reveal? Not so much. I mean Sakurai was planning the Ultimate roster while Smash 4 DLC was still happening.

Nintendo is past just dipping their toes in the DLC pool at this point, if they actually want to have a character ready soon after launch, it would very much be in later-stage development at this point, and leaks have happened from less.

Not that I'm saying these particular leaks are true.

I have heard about this, but I still don’t think Elma will be in. Maybe she’ll be an AT, but I don’t there’s a chance she makes playable.

(Also I want the mech to be for Ray but I know that’s not happening)

Yeah go and do that vote, though with how close this seems I am hoping they both get in even if it's DLC, but I digress.

The season pass was revealed before release, but nothing was known about it and there was no data in-game for it at all.

Kirby's content updates were planned as free content updates, and again, they were found at launch and were literally just data. That's why I said now is too soon. By November? Yes, I can imagine DLC plans starting to be worked on. I can only imagine fighters coming soon after release if they're Echo Fighters, though.
