I have gone to believing Isaac is guaranteed to not believing he is going to making it in. I have no idea why. Maybe its the lack of high profile channels talking about him?

Okay. Totally get your point. But still... A new Golden Sun would be better than nothing. The 3DS is still quite successful. Many RPG fans also have one. And it’s not like Camelot is a huge game studio either...

Cassi YouTube channels have no bearing on Isaac’s inclusion. The polls speak for themselves. Plenty of people want him, but there’s more views gained from talking about Skull Kid and other high profile characters than a character from an old niche RPG.

Managed to finally find my save of Golden Sun... last time I even played the game was back in 2013. Seemingly was grinding for Kikuichimonji for Ivan to get near the game's final rooms.

My God though, the nostalgia's outta the roof already - I need to open up these games more often.

Camelot as a studio just isn't in the limelight like that, so they weren't even thinking like that unfortunately. When all you make is Mario spinoff sports games, usually you just focus on creating the game and the label speaks for itself and you can just make it for whatever system is out at the time no matter where it is in its life-cycle. Nintendo is probably just letting them know when they want it to be released.

Feels like the studio needs some kind of strategy management if Golden Sun ever does take off or they need to subcontract out the series to someone else because how Dark Dawn was handled isn't going to cut it for future installments. DD has flashes of brilliance that they built upon, so it's really not a problem with the game content. They can work out the feedback they got for PoNR's for the next game, but they can't skimp on how and when to market and release it. Is this about my Backloggery? I haven't updated that in years, but that GS update is for my Wii U playthrough of the game. I already previously played it via emulator and was playing on Wii U to try and get a new transfer password for Lost Age (I'm just going to look up a password now).

In my original file I had everything in the game except the Kikiumonji blade. I couldn't successfully manipulate the RNG to guarantee getting it.

He's not saying DD is bad, just that it came out at a bad time. It came out on OG DS just five months before the 3DS released. It would have performed much better (IMO) as a near launch title for the 3DS, and even would have done a lot to temper the lukewarm start to the 3ds life cycle.

Dark Dawn wasn't terrible, it was just disappointing for me.

-points of no returns that screwed me over and made me not even want to bother completing the one playthrough I did of the game (I still beat it, just didn't do any side stuff until I maybe did a second playthorugh, which I never did)

-The fact that 6 of the 8 party members weren't even present during the story outside of hearing about them from NPCs and text. EVen Isaac and Garet got shoved aside past the intro.

-Outside of Sveta, none of the characters really endeared me like the original cast, and what was even the point of Himi?

-bit of a smaller complaint, but Blados and Chalis really felt like Camelot was just trying to meet a "blue dude/red chick combo" quota. They weren't even Proxian for Wise One's sake!

I'd be happy if the reveal is Banjo-Kazooie. That just means that unrepresented franchises aren't off the table. If it ends up being Skull Kid or Isabelle or Inceneroar though that means that hill is still there for climbing which sucks. I hate this whole stage count speculation. It's annoying.

Wouldn't Castlevania have already done this? They weren't represented before Smash Ult IIRC.

So...it's been a good 2 years at least? Since I used this website the last time. I started jumping on this board and viewing what people were up too the last couple weeks and I just now remembered. "Wait, don't I have an account for this website???" So I logged in again. Anyways. Avid Isaac for Smash supporter back in Smash 4 speculation. I'm here again supporting him for Ultimate, He stands as one of my most wanted fighters, again. So i'd like to be added to the supporters list.

I'll also say that I have really high hopes going into tomorrow's direct. Before the direct got delayed last week my gut instinct was that it was finally his time. As too me he made the most sense after K rool. He would be a perfect character to drop in a general direct, He's not too obscure they'd just slap him in a region specific direct, like Shulk in smash 4, but not so well known he'd be material for a smash direct proper, like K rool. He's middle of the road. Since last week my hype and gut feeling has gone done a decent amount. Mostly just because i've been sitting on the edge of my seat for a week now. But i'm still like 85% on my feeling that this upcoming direct is his time.

He's not saying DD is bad, just that it came out at a bad time. It came out on OG DS just five months before the 3DS released. It would have performed much better (IMO) as a near launch title for the 3DS, and even would have done a lot to temper the lukewarm start to the 3ds life cycle.

It took me a moment to warm up to Dark Dawn. I still don’t think it holds up compared to the originals, but I can find enjoyment in it. It’s writing and dialogue are easily what holds it back. Gameplay is still great GS fun, if a bit easy at times. Easily the best part of Dark Dawn are it’s puzzles. If I may be so bold, I think DD may have the best puzzles in the entire series. Maybe.

The important part is, it’s still Golden Sun. I love Golden Sun, therefore I love Dark Dawn.

Er, no. You missed the point entirely. The stage total of 103 was shown off in the 8.8 Direct. Same Direct as Simon. Speculation goes that that might be ALL of the stages in the game. No more. Dracula’s Castle was a part of that total. If a new character from a new franchise comes in and gets a new stage then that means 103 isn’t the total which means Isaac and other representatives from series that aren’t already in Smash can make it in.

Yep.

New stage revealed = good for Isaac since 103'ers can stop.
Geno revealed= good for Isaac since it reinforces fan demand being the reason for additions.
Isaac revealed= pretty darn good for Isaac.

Is this about my Backloggery? I haven't updated that in years, but that GS update is for my Wii U playthrough of the game. I already previously played it via emulator and was playing on Wii U to try and get a new transfer password for Lost Age (I'm just going to look up a password now).

In my original file I had everything in the game except the Kikiumonji blade. I couldn't successfully manipulate the RNG to guarantee getting it.
