I’ve wondered that too. The most obvious place to use is a Lighthouse. But what characters would you be fighting? Since you fight on every Lighthouse aerie.

Or would you have just a general overworld location like Shulk did?

The trailer I had envisioned was Nana getting over the ledge of a cliff, but Popo being stuck. Nana is getting really worried and frantic, until a big glowing hand grabbed her and pulled her up top. And beyond the cliff is a glowing Smash logo, and Isaac and the Ice Climbers look on.

It’d have been a great way to reveal the ICs coming back.



As for the leaks... It’s just telling me that Isaac isn’t as popular as we thought, and probably didn’t do that well in the Ballot.

99.9% of leaks are fake and try to sound convincing. Isaac is not a character you include if you want to sound legitimate, but it doesn't mean he wasn't a popular ballot choice. Remember that Smash is filled with oddballs that take everybody by surprise. Even if he was absent from literally every leak in the world, it doesn't mean he's not there because not every piece of content always gets leaked.

No what's it telling you is that Isaac isn't as popular as he once was. The things about fake leaks is that base it off of now mentality. That's why during Smash 4 when the Kremling Army was building you saw practically no leaks of K Rool and now there are plenty of them because he's popular. Isaac was included in a few leaks during 4 but he's not now purely because his fanbase has dwindled. And this part of the problem, after 4 have us nothing most Isaac fans gave up before the next game even started. We Isaac fans gave to quite looking defeated before the game is even out I mean look at Ridley he alone should tell people the merits of not giving up.

If Isaac was Top 20, including veterans and other characters who have already been disconfirmed, you’d think he’d be an obvious choice. No one puts him in because he isn’t convincing. He’s not old enough to be an oddball, and he’s not popular enough to be a shoo-in. And that’s probably true.

To be fair, any leaks that had Ridley were laughed off as obvious fakes. What people think is likely enough to fake-leak and what ends up happening are two different things.

In a way, fake leaks are no different than the RTC thread.

Oh your'e the guy my bad good video I like it Isaac do deserve a spot in the roster he not just a another sword anime or FE character he's a whole different fighter that will bring something new in the table.

And if they do, oh well. It happened, we're gonna have an amazing game in Smash to play anyway and while it may hurt for a little while, eventually we'll move on. Hell, I'll be supporting Isaac through a potential DLC period anyway, even if there's no hope.

Basically my attitude as well. I'm pretty much giving up hope if he's not in this game though. This seems to be the fan service Smash. If he can't make it in here, he definitely won't make it in the next one.

At first, I really didn't care about Isaac, i didn't even know who the hell he was since his name is not the same in French. And i never even played to any of the Golden Sun franchise's games (i'll do it one day).

But damn, you guys deserve to have Isaac in Smash Bros.

I though he was just a bland RPG main character but after reading so much messages explaining how much the guy could be a really unique character, i started to like him and understand that yeah, Isaac would fit in Smash with his abilities. When a fanbase is so passionate that she can makes people changing their mind, that's the proof of how much they love their boy.

I just want to say that I'm sure he still has his chances, he did really well in the ballot and that's basically the most important thing. So, don't stop believing, continue to support him and maybe you'll have a good surprise !

I support Isaac and his fanbase ! :)

I definitely support him. Even had him on my "wanted" Smash 4 list. Which was mostly off, but got a few right(like Lucas and Roy returning, same with Mewtwo, heh).

Is it really that common to see Ivan down...? Throughout all of my playthroughs, I can barely remember him being down, even in boss fights tbh.
I might have a particularly defensive approach to fights, idk.

That’s nothing. In Japan, he’s known as Robin.
Robin 4 Smash! Wait...

Robin, meanwhile, is known as Reflet over there.

Honestly even if he doesn't make it in I'm still going to spread awareness for Isaac and Golden Sun. No matter how many Smash games he'll be excluded from in the future I ain't giving up. The Golden Sun will only stop shining if we let it

Or maybe the hand’s is Issac’s pyserngy. Tbh, I would rather the enemy be Ganondorf, a more epic villian and opponent than a hand.

But whatever it is, I hope Issac does get a cool cinematic trailer.

What would his splash line be?

I was commenting somewhere else about the removal of Isaac's AT in Smash 4 being detrimental to his chances and someone replied that they thought it was a good sign leaving him open so to speak in case he should be added due to still having support shown from the ballot later. Ray Mk III was another removed AT that had some popularity as well. Interesting thought, nonetheless. Maybe if Isaac doesn't make it to AT this time round he really could be a contender, DLC or otherwise.

He's actually not wrong during the time of the ballot not having the AT really rallied the fanbase to vote for Isaac so since the ballot is super important it actually helped him a lot. Not to mention we don't know why the AT was cut. A lot of people just assume that it was because Sakurai didn't think it was worth bringing back but Isaac was a popular AT and a series far bigger than some ATs that were in the game. I mean yeah it really sucked having less prominent GS content in Smash 4 but it did have positives.

Isaac actually was one of the favorite ATs from Brawl, probably because it was one of the most powerful. A windbox effect like the Gust Bellows combined with a final blast that causes knockback. Multiple casts of it. And it hits everyone, even if someone has a Starman’s invincibility.

I don’t think anyone ever did a popularity ranking for ATs, but Isaac would have been up there.

I know it probably seems his chances are low because of robin. I think sakurai will see him as a mere copy or something but i have hope that we just might get him. In the position he deserves. This game is the smash of hope in a way K.rool Simon Belmont Isaac they have a shot

Whether his chances are low or not, I don’t see how Robin would be a factor in that

I'd be surprised if Sakurai thought that to be honest. After all it's basically his job to know the ins and outs of many different characters.

He seems like someone who'd know a lot about what different characters are capable of, so I don't think we have to worry too much about Sakurai thinking he's a copy of someone else.

Especially since I don't think it takes much research to realise Isaac could have a unique moveset.

Yep actually there is a lot of people in France (in fact i live in Switzerland) in twitter and other social networks. I personally have a youtube channel in which i made a Let's Play/Walkthrough of the 3 Golden Sun. And actually i made it discover the series to many people, so that they want to see a GS4 and even Isaac in Smash xD

Being Spanish i could also check in the Spanish side to see if there is more people interested to make an # or anything else?
