We haven’t seen a couple prominent ones. Ashley, Dark Samus, Skull Kid...My guess is that everyone who was an assist trophy in smash 4 got reused as one in this game. So his chances are a lot higher since he wasn't added back then.
Of all the missing ATs, I could only see Isaac, Ashley, and maybe Dillon as playable. Shadow, Dark Samus, and Isabelle could also be Echo fighters. We haven’t seen a couple prominent ones. Ashley, Dark Samus, Skull Kid...

I know Skull Kid and Tingle have the popularity in at least one region, but I'd be utterly shocked if either of them made it. With all the work they've done to the Zelda veterans, Young Link's return, and not even to mention Impa's possible Echo inclusion, I doubt they would dedicate too much fanservice to one franchise.
What new items were shown off?A few extra items shown off last night. Don’t think any new ATs, though. Isaac is still in the running, as E3 ends.

The Banana Gun is the main one I know of.What new items were shown off?
I feel you. But I'd take a month before launch over not until launch (or at all) as was the case for Brawl and 4. -_-;I wish they revealed all of the assist trophies off the bat. The fact that there 50+ after last times I think 30? Means that there were many added and brought back.
I don’t like the idea of Issac being revealed as AT a month before the game launches, that’d make me SALTY!
Well as much as I love Takamaru he wasn't highly wanted as much as highly expected. As for Waluigi I don't think Sakurai takes him seriously so I still think the rest will be popularity picks. And I'd have no issue with that magnificent beard being the face of Golden SunDunno how optimistic I feel about Isaac not showing up as an assist during E3. Considering he was left out to dry in Smash 4 anyway and hasn't had a new game in almost eight years makes me think Sakurai won't consider him unless this time he's gone full fanservice and wants only the best for the fans - which could very well be possible, but I would've thought Takamaru and Waluigi would've been in that roster.
So, while the golden boy does still have a shot, I don't think it's very big.
For a mood-lightener, let me ask you more hardcore Isaac fans a question. How would you feel if he made it in, but was in his adult state (magnificent beard and all)? Obviously, it's his most recent look, but there's literally no chance for a classic outfit at that point.
I'd be pretty okay with that, as Adult Isaac looks cool. For a mood-lightener, let me ask you more hardcore Isaac fans a question. I think a lot of people zero in on the whole "dead franchise" thing, but I don't think that's going to mean as much as they think it does this time around. Why are so many people underestimating Isaac chances?
They also love using the "generic swordsman" thingI feel like with the focus Sakurai is putting on fan service, it's really really unlikely that we'd get adult Isaac. Especially since Ganondorf got his old Ocarina of Time look back (the same one he had back in Melee) and Zelda didn't get her most recent Breath of the Wild look.
If Isaac gets in, Sakurai will absolutely choose his most iconic appearance. I don't see why Isaac would get treated any differently to the characters I just mentioned.

Young Link and Pichu were unlockable characters in Melee and they were still revealed in the "Everyone is Here" trailer. One thing to consider: Does "Everyone is here" also apply to Assist Trophies? In which case, Isaac's absence would be noticeable, because that would mean he would have to return as an AT if he hasn't been chosen to be promoted. However, we also have to remember that in Brawl he was an unlockable Assist Trophy. That could mean that he is for this game as well, and could explain why he hasn't shown up.
Well by nature of an "everyone is here" trailer they'd kinda need to be shown offYoung Link and Pichu were unlockable characters in Melee and they were still revealed in the "Everyone is Here" trailer.
"deconfirm" is not a word.I wouldn't get too hopeful with the absence of Isaac's Assist Trophy just yet. Sure, there is the fact that he has not been shown and thus isn't deconfirmed (we have used that term for over a decade now, but is that even a word? lol).

There's just too much uncertainty. I'm glad he hasn't been deconfirmed, but I've been supporting this character for so long, I will no longer so easily be able to derive hope with so much uncertainty.
Yup, which is why if the same kind of thing applies to the AT, there will be no unrevealed ones pre-release.Well by nature of an "everyone is here" trailer they'd kinda need to be shown off
I hope they reveal the rest of the old ones soon. The sooner the better. All the old ones, except for a missing spot where a Venus Adept once was...Yup, which is why if the same kind of thing applies to the AT, there will be no unrevealed ones pre-release.
Yeah, I figured as much. "Deconfirmed" was just something we all threw around back in the pre-Brawl days. I thought 'disconfirmed' was a word, but when I typed it, my browser underlined it like it wasn't a word, so I just put 'deconfirmed' like the good ol' days!"deconfirm" is not a word.
"disconfirm" is.
dis·con·firm

verb
past tense: disconfirmed; past participle: disconfirmed
- show that (a belief or hypothesis) is not or may not be true.
The whole point of the reveal was to reveal that every character from past games is present, though, so it makes sense they'd show previously unlockable characters.Young Link and Pichu were unlockable characters in Melee and they were still revealed in the "Everyone is Here" trailer.
