well i look at the screen above the characters. i just "assume" tech in place, so that if the screen doesnt move i just regrab. of course u move to in front of their tech position. if they tech rolled, then u just follow the screen. if the screen just shakes, then u jab reset or up smash.

try it. the way i explained it is just how i think about it as i play. the basic concept is to look above the characters instead of at them. it also removes the requirement of calling their tech if ur not already used to tech chasing by response. Also, make sure u boost grab for directional techs

Whats a "snearky" marth main?
The kind that just f-smashed you.

You didn't even realize did, that's how sneaky I am.

Also something about secondarying every useful character, plus a few useless ones (never know when pichu will come in handy) just in case.

There is just no way a dude, wearing a cape and tiara wielding a sword is gonna be sneaky.

I think Bowser can be as sneaky as marth, and when bowser walks the screen shakes.

Your concept of sneaky is too limited tec, you gotta remember, hiding in plain sight is also part of being sneaky.

Marth is about being there and looking cool, and then when you least expect it... TIPPER!

capes are clumsy. Thats why in brawl marth trips over it -_-
What does brawl kirby trip over?

This is marth we're talking about right?

not Game and Watch?

<Game and watch seriously blends into FD way too well.

But that's not hiding in plain sight, that just vanilla hiding.

Hiding in plain sight involves convincing your opponent to not take you seriously even though you're obviously there... AND THEN TIPPER THEM!

And who does that better then marth? He's got a frigging tiara, nobody thinks the "girly man" will seriously destroy then. And then he does.

why do you guys play sheik?

she's the most awkward, unorthodox and least smooth character

i can see how she would seem that way when you try to pick her up. akward dash dance, goofy high short hop, needles stop your aerial movement (what little you had to begin with)

but once you get used to them and smooth it all out you will notice there are actually some benefits to all these different traits.

so i disagree, she feels very smooth. Actually, everyone feels smooth to me except like mr. game and watch

Sheik can follow a formula for the bulk of the match in the vast majority of her matchups and win. Really easily. How is that in any way awkward or unorthodox?

Smooth is subjective. I find her pretty smooth. She's only really choppy when you pretend she's Fox and try to edgecancel and do things that she's not built to do.

i think im in love

actually i reserve the right to be in love until after i try it

do you look at the screen in relation to platforms or something or is it just easy to tell which way the screen is moving, i've never paid attention to anything like that except when you're falco and you jump really high so that the person recovering can't see the ledge lolol

its kinda easy without the reference point of a platform...relatively though.

i didnt say it was easy XD , just easier

only, its nearly impossible in teams lol

I've been doing it near perfectly with Crystalnite's methods. This was against a Falcon though so it was even easier than normal. Normally I wouldn't be able to follow Falcon though, so it definitely does work.

Also, for the detailed techs and getup list; does that mean it's impossible to sdi the jab/needle up so long as their ending percent is at that percent?

Also, does the knockback change for Sheik's needles/jabs... like maybe if you did a needle at a higher percent a character would not be able to sdi it whereas when you jab them the character can sdi it?

Ex: You jab Falco at 40 after throw, he's able to sdi the jab and be cool.
Where as when you needle the Falco at 40 after throw he's not able to sdi the needle?

Some random useful information that people might need: Fox/falco cannot tech fair until 39%. This means they cannot tech at 38%. So if you're gimping a fox or falco and they're below 39 you can fair them towards the stage without worrying about them teching

In that case, I still don't find her too weird. Then again, I started with Kirby and then went to Ice Climbers, then Sheik, so choppy movement is sort of normal for me.

I can see how not having a fast, long dash dance would be really strange. You also wind up walking a lot. And WDing. I guess that's weird.

Very effiecent. smart method.

i knew about the "asume they tech in place" because all the other options are slower, so you cover the faster one. the screen movment is genius and i never thought of that , i always watched the animation.

thanks a lot. i will use this.

David would probably use this if he liked to regrab but he thinks regrabbing is for stupid people and gets bored with it. we should bring his intelligence down a notch so he conforms to regrabbing.

David and kira should have a gay off.
p.s david i love your gay sheik.

He means like if you fair them into the stage, not as in you fair them and they hit the ground.

Or in other words he means like you fair them and they hit a wall.

I should regrab more because it's more efficient for getting people offstage and therefore killing them.

If I was smarter I would regrab from every throw.

Ha I would only be able to compete if it were dittos. Otherwise KK is too good gay

Does it work if they're on the stage? like what percent do they fall over from a (non-fresh) slap
