lol zerg always loses army vs. army

u gotta scramble around the map and poke and do lil harassments

and then u barely defend all your expansions 1 at a time until ur up by 2 bases and THEN u attack amy vs. army and barely scrape by

its tough as zerg

p.s.

awwwww poor artosis in the gsl awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

@ Emil - makes sense, splitting your army sounds like a great idea since worst case scenario you can run your speedlings back home to flank if you really need to or if they left one zealot at home to prevent the runby. I was under the impression that 1 basing was never good as zerg (I kinda figured this out by experience as well), personally I haven't been able to get enough mutas out to take down enough marines, so in the meantime I'm scrambling to harass with 5 mutas and trying to hold a fresh expo at the same time

Anyway I think Zerg is fine in late game, ultras are beast, my problem is just getting there without sucking

I saw IdrA vs whoever he played in ro64 in the GSL, I could only watch the first game but dam he expanded and got a crapload of units and spread the creep really dam far in like 8 minutes. Unfortunately the camera sucked cause the commentators thought they were on the other one but i need to see how he pulled that off, it was ridiculous

I know what to work on =) I don't think it's the overarching strategy so much as my macro.

terran sucks, marauders suck, zerg is OP

protoss looks cool but they suck

Heres the english GSL vids.
*edit* too late

@Kira - Ive found that most pros use roaches as a meat and potatoes unit. Defending with roaches and pushing out with creep/spines can get you a fairly early expo, while still being relatively safe. Try to use your speedlings to scout then you can tech up to roach speed and choose how to play from there. Also roaches help vs the reapers, which is a HUGE problem for zerg ATM

i dont get how people can be considered so good

then they make these really stupid mistakes that cost them the game

like in misoprime vs thewind, miso wasted all his banelings trying to kill a queen instead of the army, losing his chance for an early victory

or when he went roach against thewinds mutas and pulled back out of his base instead of doing an all in

Idk why you guys hate on Idra so much. He's well mannered in interviews and laughs about his bm quotes, clearly he doesn't take it too seriously.

And as for being talented vs working hard. Why does that matter? He's clearly really good. Lets be honest, he lost game 3 just cause he didn't scout the xpo. Yes, its a blunder on his part, but Idra is a **** good player.

I don't know how i feel about this public build order thing. Seems like it would piss me off if I were in their situation.

I think being able to view match history is fine. It won't matter when all the efficient builds become standard. Scouting's always gonna be the best way to know what's up.

oh i see what you mean now (I was thinking you meant picking up on what your opponent in the match did)

maybe custom games shouldn't have stored stats?

edit: i just now found out that creep tumors are cloaked. NEWB ALERT!!!

I think it's like watching matches of Mew2King

like you know what he's gonna do

doesn't mean you can beat him

the scandal was coaches selling their players replays to other teams during the individual leagues. these were practice games for specific matches not just random games you'd find on a replay site. this let the other teams prepare for the exact build the players were practicing

also players (such as SAVIOR and gogo) were throwing matches to make money on online betting sites.
