I had some map ideas for the Metroid Prime games. I posted these with Metroid music in the music thread, but it fits here better.

Phazon Mines: Metroid containment area (Video of Location)
-A dark map with a complete floor except in the middle where it would drop off into a pit. The map would have large Phazon-enhanced fungi mushrooms as platfroms, and perhaps a few floating platforms too. The floor itself is jagged and filled with raw Phazon, and contact with the floor will damage you. Metroids can be seen floating around in the background, but wont interact with the stage.

Agon Wastes: Pirate Base Entrance (Video of location: Go to 2:26)/Dark Agon Wastes: Battleground (Video of Location: Go to 1:24)
-When selected, this map will be randomly setted just like Mushroomy Kingdom.
-When in Agon Wastes, the map will be normal. It has a complete floor, with a higher floor to the left which is the Pirate Base entrance balcony. In the middle will be a random floating platform. Occasionaly a Space Pirate will operate the turret in the background or foreground of the balcony, and shoot at the battlefield.
-The location of Battleground is the exact same as Pirate Base entrance, but in the Ing's dark dimension. When in Dark Agon Wastes, the map's atmosphere will be dangerous and harm you. The balcony changes to just higher land, and the floating platform remains. There will be 4 light crystals that will protect you from the atmosphere. 1 on the higher land, 1 on the platform, and 1 to the left and right below the platform on the normal ground. Occasionaly a Warrior Ing will shoot dark matter at a light crystal and make it shut off, leaving that area dangerous.

G.F.S. Olympus: Ship Docking Bay (Video of Location)
-A medium-sized flat platform where Samus's ship would be parked. Similar to final destanation, but when after a minute or sometime like that, the Berserker Lord willbreak through the ship docking control room and attack you from the background

I like the brackets after lake juliet and gaur plains, like the rest of the stages' origins are obvious but not them.

there's no way of telling how familiar most of you are with another code and xenoblade, but with zelda, mario and pokemon odds are most of you have heard of the locations, and with the others it's in the name

I wish Balloon Fight gets an entry. Starting point is one of the early areas with a couple of platforms and water pit in the middle. Stage hazards include the fish, a random spark of thunder and a couple of enemies flying around the screen with their balloons. If they want to get crazy, the stage could occassionally scroll with electricity obstacles around, and end up in different kind of platform area.

Sounds worse than 75m.

That's bad.

I think everybody should have their own stage.

A weird idea:

A Pokemon stage where you battle on a bunch of waster type Pokemon. Fight ontop of Lapra, Wailmer, Wailord, and Gyrados. Similiar to Pokemon Floats

Hey, what about a mario kart stage like delfino plaza where you land on different stages that appear often in the series and are rememberable from the earlier games. So you land on a Rainbow road, a Mario circuit, a Bowser castle, A ghost valley, anything I'm missing?

Wouldn't be bad, but I would like something like this on Rainbow Road only. Based on all the Rainow Roads ever made since Super Mario Kart.

Just some!

I have a couple ideas that might seem funny!

1) Just Dance Medley- I thought that sometimes the dancing characters could attack the players!

2)Dragon Roost Island!!!- One of my favorites in Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker!

3)Rainbow Road- Take some of the Mario Kart madness!

Rainbow Road- Koopa, Shy Guy, Lakitu, Wiggler, Honey Bee, and three other Mario Kart racers that are not fighters, alternate costumes or assist trophies.

Smashmo Park

This is the Pushmo/Crashmo stage. It is named as such because Pushmo took place in Pushmo Park and Crashmo took place in Crashmo Park so following the trend, Smashmo Park is the setting in a Smash Bros. game. This so-called "Smashmo" puzzle takes the shape of a giant pixelated Smash Ball, you know, that circle with a cross inside?

So yeah... anyway, the main platform is the cross inside the circle and it is made up entirely of cloud blocks from Crashmo. There are two manholes located at the top and at the rightmost block of the cross. These manholes function the same way as the warp pipes from Mushroom Kingdom (Smash 64).

The other platforms are the blocks that make the perimeters of the circle and the cross. These platforms are the type of platforms that appear and disappear. They "appear" when Mallo pulls the blocks toward the screen (becoming 3D) and they "disappear" when Mallo pushes them into the background (becoming 2D). This stage hazard is based on Pushmo.

Sometimes Mallo may move the blocks sideways, causing characters to fall down to their doom. If there are items scattered on the stage, Mallo may cause them to fall off the stage simply by moving the blocks sideways. This stage hazard is based on Crashmo.

Mallo may rearrange the "Smashmo" puzzle by causing blocks to fall down when he moves them around. Mallo also get around the stage by entering doors that characters cannot. This allows Mallo to rearrange virtually every other 2D/3D blocks except for the cloud platforms (they are always 3D). Once Mallo reaches a flag at the top of the "Smashmo" puzzle, Mallo drops off the stage and resets the blocks to their original positions by stepping on the reset switch. This is how the stage cycles over.

I think this stage may favor characters who can wall jump, tether recover, and/or float. This would obviously be banned from tourneys. To give a better idea of what Smashmo Park might look like, check out these two links.

I think it would be safe to say there will be stages from some of the new 3ds titles, like Paper Mario sticker star, Luigi's Mansion 2 and super mario 3d land.
For an example I was thinking something like the Castle siege stage, but putting some of the stages from Sticker Star on it also a different transition like flipping pages of a book.

It probably means absolutely nothing, but when Brawl in the Family updated a short while ago, Matthew had this little bit to say.

(I got a post spoiler-marked for saying the Nintendo Land Plaza Tower should be a SSB4 stage!)
Nintendo being a little spoiler-happy, or a sign of things soon to come?

Who knows, it could be a spiritual successor to Pictochat.

concerning special easter eggs like the star fox conversions,

my freind just had a stroke of genious without knowing it. it's an idea for a paper mario stage.
imputing a special command (from a player playing as mario most likely) could summon goombella, she could then use her tattle abillity on a random character on the stage and give info on them!

incase we somehow lose snake (DONT DO IT NINTENDO!), we can have goombella read from her tattle log in place of snakes codecs. :bee:

I know that most of characters would have their own stages, but it would be nice that if they can make some stages that don't have any representative, such as Duck Hunt, Golden Sun, etc if their character didn't get in.

I would love to see Golden Sun's Venus Lighthouse.

that actually happened in Brawl with the Smashville, PictoChat and Hanenbow stages.

besides, many people expect a Golden Sun newcomer, so if it happens, there will likely be a stage based on that series. even if there's no Golden Sun newcomer, a stage could appear anyway.

I approve that. I think the match 2 on 2, against a couple of characters not belonging to the same franchise (like Mario and Link) should happen on such neutral stages, rather than on a home stage of one of them.

Wow! That's brilliant! Now I want a Paper Mario stage even more!! :awesome: I still wish it is the Battle Stage from The Thousand-Year Door, complete with the audience.

The stage starts out simple, a battle-field sized stage with a smaller ceiling, wider side blast zones, and no platforms, with a box of Hanafuda cards in the background

But then, the stage gets more interesting as the box of cards opens and cards come out.

The cards stay in the background , but are "played" onto the stage, creating platforms to fight on. The game played is predetermined and non-random, and whenever a matching pair or suit is made, all the cards involved are removed, and the most cards/platforms ever out is five (Making an arrangement akin to the 5 of a die) The cards arrange themselves in various ways throughout the match, but none are ever overly complex. Some arrangements are as follows.

There are other arrangements of various kinds, and when cards disappear, they will flash briefly first, to give players time to anticipate the change.

A remake of Green Hill Zone looking more like its Sonic Generations look.

I'd would love to see that alongside a sonic colors type stage wisps included. They'll fly around and be hazards or just sit idly by.

Wonder how the Sonic Generations Green Hill would look like as the SSBB version of Green Hill. If someone knows how to pull that off.

Personally, after Green Hill Zone, I think the most iconic Sonic stages that would make great stages in Smash would be City Escape from Sonic Adventure 2, and especially Casino Night Zone from Sonic 2.

Nothing wrong with it, I just don't see them doing Green Hill Zone again when there is an abundance of Sonic stages to choose from, some of them also incredibly iconic to the series.
