"We build cathedrals to our pain
Establish monuments to attain
Freedom from all of the scars and the sins
Lest we drown in the darkness from within."

Amazing 10/10
As usual I can't understand the yelling. I guess it's easier if you actually listen to more of it though.

It won David over? NICE!

The scream is "Music, my savior | Save me". The song's basically about how he never got anything out of religion and how music is his religion.

Mysteries forgotten chords,
I strum in vain to please the lord,
But he has never answered me,
And faith has waned eternaly.
In empty men who pass along,
The woes of all religions wrong,
Now the shadowed veil it falls,
Heed the Clarion call.
So pray to music,
Build a shrine,
Worship in these desperate times
Fill your heart with every note,
Cherish it and cast afloat.
Cause God is in these clef and tone,
Salvation is found alone,
Haunted by it's melody,
Music, it will set you free.

I'm normally not a big fan of this much rhyming, but they did a great job of using unexpected words and making sure that the meaning of the lyrics weren't lost in favor of a rhyme.

I didn't make it out of pools, I think I'm done with brawl for a bit. I lost to mc pe 2-0, beat kain 2-1, lost to denti 2-1, and beat mocha and hinkage both 2-0. My record was7-5, mc pe's was 7-4. Came all the way to whobo just to drown in pools, I don't even feel like playing the rest of the events

Don't sweat it man, you had a really hard pool. You did well to beat kain, not much you can do about good olimars with lucas though. Just enjoy yourself winning isn't everything. Play as many top players as you can to get a good experience out of it.

I agree with Jordan. Your pool was tough. Just have fun and enjoy yourself :)

If it means anything, Esam posted a tweet specifically saying how legit you are.

Lol I follow him because he had good updates from Whobo.

And I can't go to Jokers now, even though I really wanted to...stuff came up and all that.

I can probably come on Saturday after I get back from Cape, though. What time will stuff start?

Idk if I'll be able to go to Jokers. Like, I want to go I guess but I don't really have enough money for it since I paid like $275 to drown in an ocean a few Saturdays ago. I mean, I'd be willing to go if someone were willing to spot me a few extra dollars, but other than that it's not looking like I can go

You are about to get a degree in pharmaceuticals u shud be able to read imo.

Starts at 3pm

If I drive to Joker's then I can only fit 3 other people. I'm not sure how other people's cars work. I would also like to not take my car because it has silly lights flashing at me and i dunno what they mean so it might just explode for no reason like Tmacc's likes to. But I'll drive if no one else is willing to like biiiiiiiiiiiiiiitcjes

Is anyone in STL holding a brawl tournament anytime soon? I googled this one tourney hosted by the STL public library recently, but it was totally jank. Smash balls on, 3-minute time limit, and you had to use their wii remote.

Teh_Future (David) hosts one roughly every month or so. David you should host one again and there should be a Project M side tourney so we can convert Will!

I don't know if there is enough interest to do another one.

The last one had 5 people but to be fair it was only a few days notice so I didn't bother getting the word out to everyone like I usually do.

i dunno yet.

I might hold a PM tournament soon. Several people told me they would come from OOS if I did.

Well you know what we should do? We should have a combined Brawl/P:M/Melee tourney. I'm actually trying to get a melee tourney together, but I have no experience being a TO except for small campus tournies back in like 2004. The melee guys have been looking at WashU as a possibility since Bieber goes there and could get student discounts on rooms. I think we're afraid of having a venue fee if there's a possibility of a small turnout. But if we all combine, it would be cheaper overall (and probably have a larger turnout since several people will want to participate in multiple tournies).

I know there's plenty of melee folks that would come... some of the other communities have been bothering us to host a tourney in STL. Some guys in IL, several in COMO. Springfield, MO just lost their venue (Pathways church) cuz the church leadership didn't like video games in church or something, so they're SOL on tournies for a while; i'm sure they'd make the trip out here.

Teh Future, you interested? I'm thinking we each be like the TO for our respective games, and just communicate with each other on space & times. Honestly I don't know much about this, but I am excited about it.

It would be much easier with 3 TO's, but it's still very stressful running a big tournament. Getting TV's and set-ups for 3 events is a huge problem, not to mention housing and all that jazz. I'm not sure if I want to host a big tournament, but if someone else wants to then I will help them run it. I just wanted to host a small/medium sized PM tournament(like 30-40 people).

Edit: I think it would be easier to just run a Melee/PM tournament or a Brawl/PM tournament if we want to combine them. We could try hosting them bimonthly or monthly or something and switch off between brawl/melee and I would host them. I think I have some ideas for venues that aren't too expensive, and I know for sure I can get a really cheap venue at the clubhouse in the place I'm moving to ($100 a day) but it's kind of small. I know Will said the place that holds sf tournaments would be a good place to ask.

Is the SF tourney place through here: http://stlbarwarz.tumblr.com/

It looks cool, hopefully they accept Smash Bros as a fighting game. That might be a good spot for occasional local tourneys.

I think it would be better to stick with a small-medium size tournament for now. It sounds way cool to get everyone and Armada's mom involved, but small would be good.

I was just looking at a particular room at UMSL as a possible venue. It says it holds 60+ and it is roughly $30/hour. I don't know if they have a different rate for a day rate, but I'm pretty sure students/alumni get a near 50% discount and I'm alumni. It seems like a reasonable price, but not as competitive as the $100 you mentioned. Of course the drawback is the application deadline (which is 6 weeks prior) and you have to know how many are attending :urg: , how many parking validations you'll need, etc...

Either way, my goal is to get a good tourney to happen before 2013, and I'll help out with whatever.

I agree, I think it would be a great idea to do PM and switch off each month between Brawl/Melee, or something along those lines.

As I said, I'd be willing to help you host, too.

GGs @ Hylian & Seth Serge. Was cool to meet you guys!

I'd go to a PM/Melee tourney in STL if I'm given like a month notice and it doesn't conflict with any other tourney I'm planning on attending. I can probably convince some Columbia/Rolla Melee players to come too.
