Adding an obscure character adds credibility... DUH!!!! "Who the heck is Tin Star?" I think that question will continue to be asked for as long as Sakurai is Japanese...

So, basically, if they're choosing Pokemon stages based on locations that aren't giant floating platforms like they're doing with Animal Crossing on the 3DS, it's a reasonable choice. Got it.In Luminose City in XY, the entire city's shtick is 'Style'. The more things you do in the city gets you 'style points', like visiting a cafe, riding a taxi or going to the museum. The city is full of Cafes, but honestly they're completely pointless outside of getting 'style'. Really, the ONLY major things related to cafes are:
You meet the Kalos champion for the first time in one.
and
One is secretly a base for Team Flare.... though they don't hide it at all...
That's it.
Some obscure characters cross the line for plausibility.Adding an obscure character adds credibility... DUH!!!! "Who the heck is Tin Star?" I think that question will continue to be asked for as long as Sakurai is Japanese...
I can understand Goku and Shadow. But why people want Puff Girls? 0.oNah. Still more likely than miiverses favorites Goku, Shadow and Power Puff Girls.
Well my friend!I can undertand Goku and Shadow. But why people want Puff Girls? 0.o
No, we've had worse.....Are we STILL discussing the Tin Star rumor? Just proves we're having a dry spell.
Come with me~Well my friend!
Let me introduce you to a place called "Miiverse"!
That's pretty much spot on.Come with me~
And you'll see~
A world of horrible imagination~
I'm not sorry.
Eh, I'm just pointing it out...Well just cuz there's a dry spell doesn't mean you have to post in this thread...just reminding...
because we watch...
Not much. As some people have said, it's been a dry spell recently.I miss anything? Been gone a few days.
I miss anything? Been gone a few days.
Only if you consider Tin Star a possibility XD.I really didn't want to read through the last several pages, so have any worthwhile leaks passed through lately?
Tin Star? Who's that?Only if you consider Tin Star a possibility XD.
.n_n.
I just looked it up. Seems interesting. He's an North American only release and a retro character, so I CAN see Sakurai using him as an appeal to western gamers. This Tin Star leak confuses me.
Part of me is like "ohh well that's a nice obscure character to bring back."
But then the other part is like "what the ****? Tin Star?"
I meant Plok and Tin Star.Actually...
I like Earthworm Jim!
Plok didn't have bad music either...
Hm. That would be pretty interesting, I will admit. So really, I'd like to see someone take all the components of the live leaks and break then down, discussing the likeliness of it.
All .5 of them.I just looked it up. Seems interesting. He's an North American only release and a retro character, so I CAN see Sakurai using him as an appeal to western gamers.
At this time, somewhere in North America, there is a Mike Jones fan reading this and deciding to drink himself into a coma.I just looked it up. Seems interesting. He's an North American only release and a retro character, so I CAN see Sakurai using him as an appeal to western gamers.
You're always pointing it out. It gets old seeing you defend or try to "justify" it by reasoning that it's "inevitable."Eh, I'm just pointing it out...
Takamaru would ironically appeal more to a western audience then Tin Star.Mike Jones would appeal better.
I'd actually call Smash 64's out there choice Captain Falcon.Regarding this Tin Star thing, Smash has always had its share of what-the-f**kery character choices. Smash 64 had Ness, Melee had Game & Watch, Brawl had R.O.B, and now Smash 4 has the Wii Fit Trainer.
This character choice isn't entirely out of the ball park, and Sakurai is a madman anyway, so who knows.
Indeed. At least Ness had combat experience before Smash.I'd actually call Smash 64's out there choice Captain Falcon.
As everyone else has said, the WTF choice in 64, if any, was captain falcon, simply because they basically had to create a whole move set for him out of nothing. He hadn't left his vehicle in any of the F-Zero games. Game & Watch and ROB were pretty big parts of Nintendo's history though, and Wii Fit has been huge the past couple of years. This Tin Star is just a random, unknown character from a no-name game, that really holds 0 significance to Nintendo.Regarding this Tin Star thing, Smash has always had its share of what-the-f**kery character choices. As far as gameplay goes, yeah. Falcon didn't fight in any games.Indeed. At least Ness had combat experience before Smash.
