@splat Good find. Looking at it now, it seems very likely that it's the Disc Competition.

EDIT: Oh, never mind. I guess it was just taken directly from a 'Nintendogs' television.
Very surprised no one realized this sooner if that's the case.

As for the ND rumour, it seems very unlikely for Nintendo to announce the Year of Yoshi during a direct focused on DKC:TP, especially with no real reason to have a Year of Yoshi this year. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised to see another veteran reveal or a newcomer alongside Diddy - the Direct would feel bland to me otherwise.

Ok wow I wasn't really expecting a response! Alright so it's not necessarily my source, but my friend's source. I will just say our source to avoid confusion from here on out. I asked him how he knew this guy and he said it's just a family friend of theirs, and he is some sort of analyst or something. He just knows people in the know (supposedly) and told my friend about some info he had heard about (they were pretty excited about the whole thing lol).

Let it be known that this is all rumors passed down by word of mouth. I'm not claiming to know someone who has played the game or seen a build or anything ridiculous haha. I actually should know something pretty soon. Our source was teasing my friend today about some kind of item in the game he found out about and he should be messaging us him back fairly soon. I will keep you updated!

Might I ask why? The Yoshi thing was part of a potential "leak" that was related, in part, to SSB4.

Was it because the only SSB4-related part was Yoshi, and thus not having enough to warrant discussion here? In that case, I completely understand.

Well guys, I found out what the item was. It's another assist trophy, and I'm kind of disappointed if true. Isaac returns as an assist again :/ That's all I have for now, I'll see what else we can find out.

Well, if this "Year of Yoshi" Nintendo Direct is true, strange as it sounds, it WOULD go a long way to prove that TSSZ leak that has been brought up a good couple times by myself and Muster and a few other people. Not only because of the whole "Year of Yoshi" (it was mentioned via TSSZ) but also Takamaru. I find it just a tad strange that such a Direct would cut straight from a Yoshi Smash Bros trailer to a 3D Classics Nazo no Murasame-Jo without any kind of reason at all. Perhaps Takamaru is being included in the Yoshi trailer somehow?

"Year of Yoshi" would fuel the TSSZ talk ALOT, and if Takamaru is thrown into the mix as well... well... despite how some people feel about that leak... we may have to give it a second look... again.

I'd very much like to move the new "ChaosZero" leak from the live to dead section in the OP, would there be any way for you to verify you are the poster of the original Brawl-era GameFAQs leak? Not that I don't believe you, but short of information you obviously can't divulge, any actual proof would be much appreciated.

Edit: Wait a minute, didn't the merge happen BEFORE Smash Brawl? If he posted around that time he shouldn't be effected. I have a really old account there that I can still use.
