I suppose Lucas and Wolf would be cut. Snake, maybe. Suspicious that Sonic was confirmed, but Snake isn't.
Why is that so suspicious? I mean... is it suspicious that *insert here* was confirmed, but Yoshi wasn't? They are probably saving him for a little closer to MGS5.

Nobody is entirely sure, in fact, I don't think we will get anything. I have a feeling a Donkey Kong character like Diddy is next, and we have to wait a couple of weeks for that.

Excellent point, but anything is possible. Maybe a Xenoblade smartphone app is coming? A confirmation of X's final title? More information on X itself? It could always be a direct about smartphone strategies and have a little Smash Bros. fan service sprinkled in.

I would hope he would be in by then which is in march when MGS game comes out the first part anyway but again with the game only being on Microsoft and Sony systems and the wii u struggling i dont think nintendo would advertise a game that isnt even on their system. and MGS4 was a PS3 exclusive but when brawl was coming out the wii was selling like no tomorrow and the ps3 was barley selling. now it has flipped. but than again this is just what i think

Well! I've been going through that Mr. Prediction's thread. Compiled all the 'certain' info and marked what he was uncertain about. I should note he doesn't seem to be done, but this is what he's said up to the time of this post.

List of Characters by Series:

Mario Series: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Rosalina

DK Series: Donkey Kong, Diddy & Dixie

Zelda Series: Link, Princess Zelda/Sheik, Toon Link, Toon Zelda/Tetra, Ganondorf

Metroid Series: Samus, Ridley, (ZSS's status is unknown)

Kirby Series: Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede

Kid Icarus Series: Pit, Palutena, Hades

Pokemon series: Pikachu, Kanto Trainer (Pokemon Master with Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard), Kalos Trainer (Pokemon Trainer with Greninja, Quilladin, and Fennekin), Jigglypuff, Mewtwo (Lucario cut)

Fire Emblem series: Marth, Chrom, (Ike Cut)

Star Fox Series: Fox, Wolf, (Falco Cut)

Earthbound Series: Ness, Lucas

3rd Party: Sonic, Mega Man, Pac-Man, (Snake Cut)

64 Vets: Yoshi, Captain Falcon

Melee Vets: Ice Climbers, Mr. G&W

Brawl Vets: Olimar, ROB, Wario

Newcomer series: Waluigi, Shulk, Mii, Wii Fit Trainer, Little Mac, Villager, Takamaru

Stages by Series

Mario:
WiiU - Mario Circuit, Hands-On Hall

Zelda:
WiiU - Temple (Melee)

Metroid:
3DS - Research Station

Stage Notes: Vorash replaces Ridley much like Alfonso does.

Kirby:
WiiU - Dream Lands, Castle Dedede
3DS - Lollipop Land, Green Greens

Kid Icarus:
WiiU - Underworld

Stage Notes: Underworld is a more vertical stage lined by pillars

Pokemon:
WiiU - Pokemon Stadium, Main Street Colosseum, Pokepark
3DS - Indigo Plateau, Tower of Mastery

Stage Notes: Pokepark has no gimmicks, but is very colorful with Pokemon running around everywhere.

Fire Emblem:
WiiU - Castle Delbray

Earthbound:
WiiU - revamped Onett
3DS - Thunder Tower

3rd Party:
Sonic - Frozen Factory Zone (3DS)
Notes: Has a lot of gears running around, but not much else
Megaman - Pixelated B&W Wily's Castle (3DS)
Pacman - Classic Game (WiiU) / Pac-Attack (3DS)

Melee Series:
Notes: No new Flat Zone, the originals split between the versions as far as he knows.

Newcomer Series:
Xenoblade - Raguel Bridge (WiiU) / Landing Site (3DS)
Takamaru - Shimazu Castle (WiiU) / Forgotten Courtyard (3DS)
Notes: Smashville is said to be one stage, but he doesn't know how it works.

Character Info:

Diddy & Dixie each have a unique moveset, and like in the series, one waits in the background till swapped in.

Zelda's Down+B functions the same, transforming her into Sheik.

Toon Zelda is the one presumably with the Phantom as he hasn't seen it amongst the Assist Trophies he knows about.

Ganondorf's Brawl design is merely upgraded, moveset unknown.

Ridley is a big slow fighter, his design is a mixture of Prime, Retro, and Other M.

Wolf, Ness, and Falcon have their Brawl design updated.

Ike and Lucario’s moves have been shifted to other characters probably to Chrom and Mewtwo respectively.

Waluigi represents the Sports and Party franchise.

Takamaru is made realistic, minimalized purple and now darker, jacket is more a red plate of armor, purple belt, tapered pants. Personally thinks he looks around 25-30 with hair being very dark purple-blue. Not sure why he has a new outfit of light armor.

Little Mac will be taking his appearance from Punch-Out (Wii).

Apparently Aside from Wario, only a few actually have alternate outfits, most have color swaps that closely resemble other outfits.
Misc Info:

Shulk will be revealed on the 30th as playable on account of X being shown as Xenoblade 2, as part of a big media event.

Customization exists on a mechanical level, but no details.

The Wii U version will use special NFC trading cards featuring fighters, locales, and assist trophies for fun mini-games. The Wii U version has some GamePad mini-games, while the 3DS version has some AR functionality using the same cards.

It is very possible that more characters will be added, but he very confident in his "prediction" at the current time. He has no idea what Sakurai might want to implement in the future.

Each character gets a short CG movie. Newcomers get longer ones.

All third party characters, Hades, Palutena, Takamaru, Mewtwo, and others are unlockable, but only the aforementioned for sure.

As far as stages go, he doesn't have a list, just what he happened to see, but he thinks about 10 returning stages per version. Every franchise represented by a character will have a unique stage on each version. Also, most unrepresented stages will be Smash originals.

My Music is back.

Collectibles now include Miiverse Stamps, of the more prominent characters.

Trophy information is sketchy, he didn't get details there.

Fairly confident DLC won't be included, but as stated, not privy to development.

"Story Mode" on both versions with original maps. Enemies and Bosses will be mostly Nintendo ones. The mode just lacks cutscenes. Apparently the boss order changes every run.

Bosses: WiiU - Dino Pirahna, King Hippo, Master Hand / 3DS - Great Reaper, Master Hand

Assist Trophies are the same across versions, like items and fighters. Stages and modes will be the only difference.

Assist Trophies: Isabelle, Elite Beat Agents, Duck Hunt Pup, MGS rep, Ashley (Confirmed), Bubbles, Dominic, Dr. Kawashima, Lucina, Ms. Pac-Man, Proto Man, T-Rex, Zip, S. Goroh (Returning), Kat & Ana (Returning), Lyndis (Returning), Dominic, doesn't know all the ATs, (Excitebike, Infantry, Helirin, Gray Fox, and Saki cut)

AT Notes: Dominic closes the curtains for a second and screws with the costumes, giving all fighters one of their alt colors/

Pokeball: Abomasnow, Bellossom, Binacle, Bonsly, Celebi, Chikorita, Deoxys, Dialga, Electrode, Entei, Genesect, Gogoat, Goldeen, Goodra, Groudon, Gulpin, Hawlucha, Ho-Oh, Jirachi, Klefki, Kyogre, Kyurem Latias, Latios, Lucario, Lugia, Manaphy, Meowth, Mew, Moltres Munchlax, Oshawott, Palkia, Reshiram, Snivy, Snorlax, Suicune, Tepig, Togepi, Victini, Weavile, Wobbuffet, Yveltal, Xerneas, Zekrom, Zoroark

Pokeball Notes: Zoroark transforms into one of the players and attacks, can be knocked out. / Victini floats to the center, does a peace sign and takes off, with a trail of fire that expands on contact with a surface. / Genesect makes a lot of computerized noise and attacks with beams of various elements at random before folding like origami and vanishing. / Xerneas releases a gorgeous bang of colored light that pushes players away. / Klefki floats around dropping a collectible per player. / Lucario runs on a set path with a blue glow around him, hitting all enemies in his path.

Every goddamn thread title there is "I have some information on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U." Get original, Smashboarders trolling over there and/or GameFAQs trolls skimming this thread.
Yeah, because the rumors themselves are super original to begin with.

Waluigi representing the spin off titles kinda sounds right but we might as well say the same about Birdo or Daisy who only appear in the spin off titles more now days than in main mario titles i think daisy's only main mario game was super mario land and birdo's was super mario bros. 2 or SMB USA so while waluigi best fits this roll than the other two since he only appears in spin offs i dont see him getting his own series i mean in fact in smash bros. brawl he was part of the mario series in the trophies and on the site.

Just a question but how is shulk possible on the 30th?

And are you guys sure that sakurai will reveal a character for a smart phone thing nintendo is doing?
The assumption is that there'll be a Nintendo Direct this week, and presumably X will be revealed as Xenoblade 2 and then Shulk be revealed as playable.
As far as I care, it sounds like a reasonable guess someone made so that if it happens they can keep on getting attention.

idk why you're talking about the phone thing. That's completely unrelated.

I should probably ask if the Shulk thing is the only thing that could potentially come undone on him. Mostly just having fun with it, and you're welcome, Relisthain.

Maybe. If he gets that wrong, then why consider him credible? This will make or break him...

This leak sounds plausible for the most part. If only he weren't such a **** about it then maybe I'd have heard him out in the first place.

I guess we'll see on the 30th (29th if a direct is not announced) if he's right or not.

"X" hasn't been talked about since E3, and even counting Directs before then that's only a grand total of two times where it had any sort of focus. So I'm going to go ahead and say that there is a probability of it being discussed very soon, and ending it off with a Shulk for Smash trailer would go along perfectly

Of course, everything hinges on this Wednesday. If we hear nothing from Nintendo on that day regarding a Direct for Thursday, then it's over for Mr. Prediction.

All things considered, the predictions guy is very entertaining. For example, he's predicted that each character faces different bosses as they progress through single player, and he shared mario's bosses.

Bowser -> Dino Piranha -> Dark Mario -> Big Donkey Kong -> Wario and Waluigi -> Giga Bowser -> Master Hand

Watch this guy become a laughing stock if he ends up wrong. Everyone will tear him apart.

Which actually makes we wonder. If he does end up being wrong, why would he go through all that trouble?

I agree. Mr. Predictions is very entertaining at the very least. Worst case scenario, he's proven wrong on Thursday and life is back to normal by the end of the week. At least he's given us a chance to call him out and end his shenanigans and within a reasonable time frame. I also asked a few questions in that thread on Gamefaqs.

If he is believed to be true, he slipped somethings. If he is for real he may work for Nintendo in a different department. Whichever department involves how other parties can use Nintendo characters. So maybe a PR guy? That would also explain how he knows about an incoming Nintendo Direct. And while I am not trying to bust the guy... this happened:

Q: Do you know if SSB for Wii U/3DS are, in fact, the final names? Or are they just place holders for the moment?

A: This may seem like an odd thing to omit, but if I give details about the titles it makes it a lot easier for Nintendo to figure out who I am. Sorry.
And then also this:

Q: Okay. I'm going to feel really bad asking this, so I put it in a spoiler. There's been talk of this game taking censorship into its own hands. To be blunt; for Peach, Toon Link, Rosalina and any girl or guy in a skirt seem to have a black void up their skirts/kilts to avoid Panty Shots. It's in a thread on this site with images having been released that prove that this might be happening. Do you by any chance know anything about this? It seems like a silly thing for Nintendo to do... but Nintendo does take it's child friendly image very seriously and does do some pretty extreme things to keep this. Do you have anything on this bit of info?

A: Without giving too much away, I can say that I'm in a position where I frequently see how protective Nintendo can be with its characters, sometimes imposing ridiculous-sounding guidelines as to how its characters can be used. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this was the case, but I can't say I know anything in particular about censorship in Smash Bros.
I mean to be a good comedian/troll you have to commit fully. But would he deny answering those sort of questions or dance around them if it wasn't to hide some sort of identity? Either way, this guy is either a legitimate leaker or a damn good professional troll.

Because it's hilarious, watching all of us confused while he knows the answer.

Fame? Lolz?

Probably either of those two choices.

I apologize for again going back to this, but I noticed something by looking at the AR model of Lady Palutena. People argued that Lady Palutena's belt isn't fully attached to her. Well, I noticed that in her AR model, while it's not as noticeable on the top loop, her belt still isn't attached to her.

You mean about the stuff he does know? It'd be interesting. He admits there could be other characters and stages that he doesn't know about at least.

I've heard Nintendo is making an announcement regarding its mobile strategy. I wonder if we've got a direct coming?

What am I doing, I will never do that again....
I would like to see Shulk, however. He would be a pretty interesting character. Im hoping Nintendo actually pulls off a Direct this month...

11 Mario characters? I count only 8, SuperPiccolo.
well dk,wario and yoshi are sub series of the mario series.

Mario,Luigi,Bowser,Peach,Rosalina & Luma,Waluigi,Yoshi,Wario,Donkey Kong,Diddy Kong and Dixie but than again i guess dixie and diddy could be not considered due to them only appearing in 2 or 3 mario games the spin offs also just counted even with dixie and diddy thats only 10 my bad
