Here's another question.

HOW and where did the leaker come from? The pic is from an actual 3ds, but the background is super blurry.
Well there's probably over 150 full time people working on these 2 games, and a few hundred extra part time people working on the game, including from at least 6 or so studios.

They got lots of game testers and executives and assistants as well.

Oh, and Nintendo has had internal leaking problems before, like with Brawl.

So yeah, add up roughly several hundred people touching the game, playing the game, and having access to the game, everyone potentially owning a camera and a video camera and obviously a smart phone (or a phone) with a camera and video recorder, and this could easily happen.

It's been in development from 2012-2014, not 2002-2004.

THANK YOU.

I thought I was the only one; I couldn't help but melt every chance I got to peep Palutena's legs, haha.
That's the original reason I thought this was fake.

Then I realized Namco Bandai was making this game, and well... we see a lot of that in Soul Calibur, including a lot worse (Ivy in Soul Calibur IV having breasts bigger than her head; how is she able to walk=???).

I am still convinced the leak is fake, not that I think Palutena isn't in the game. I am also still convinced that Medusa is more likely and the better decision for a number of reasons over Palutena. Even though if we have both that would be pretty amazing.

Also, I am pretty sure Sakurai said himself that Ashley was an Assist Trophy in a comment on that pic of the day. Something I think you could check if you have a miiverse account. Which I don't.

Medusa wasn't really important...at all....in Uprising however. She barely was in half of the game.

So every other picture leak got disconfirmed within minutes yet this one is still milling about...

I personally dont think so. I think Palutena is more likely and more exciting.

Because every other picture leak has had something in them that clearly made them fake such as poor photoshopping.

Actually, I was referring to Brawl - seeing the Final Smash and panning/zooming the trophy was what made me melt.

The Japanese title of the Kid Icarus series is Myth of Light: The Mirror of Palutena, with Uprising being called New Myth of Light: The Mirror of Palutena.

I just don't understand the hate for Miis. Casuals make up a pretty good portion of the Smash Bros. fanbase. They'd eat the Miis up. Wii Fit Trainer and Villager are definitely a step in the right direction for the series.
Because people assume "the Villager stole all the Miis moves" and "what about online?"

People worry about seeing stupid things online in a game when they're on this site posting stupid things all the time. Quite frankly, that's the stupidity they deserve for posting so stupidly.
Come to think of it, Palutena's hair, the end points at least, look almost 2Dish to me.... I was going to bring this up earlier, but I guess I forgot about it, and it doesn't explain her unique model though.
Fox's teeth initially were actually 2D (or looked 2D) in earlier Smash Wii U Dojo pictures, so it's nothing new (although it's been improved). These 2 games are still far from being done.

Since we're on the topic of Palutena's dress I wonder what they're going to do about her outfit since her dress is pretty risque for Nintendo standards (there's gonna be upskirts for days).

They'll probably have to slap a pair of granny panties on her like they did with Peach. xD

You know though if the Translator leak is the truth, it mentions nothing of Miis.

So we're going to pretend that the Kid Icarus series is exclusively comprised of Uprising, and make things up that I have seen numerous times such as "Palutena was a main antagonist for an arc and had multiple boss battles and can use every weapon"? Come on now.

And Palutena is hardly more interesting of a character when we already have characters of her general 'moveset niche' on the roster as it is. Two, in fact. In Medusa's case, the closest we have is Ganondorf. Who isn't a magic character. He is a punch-to-the-face character.

Except... we don't? I don't see Zelda and Palutena playing similarly at all...

And what? Medusa was nothing more than a face in a wall in the original game.

True, but then again sometimes these leaks are "lacking". A true leak once had only mentioned 36 characters or so in Brawl. The leaker didn't know of the other 3. So while the leaker may be honest and be telling us what really the roster is, they can still leave something out.

Of course, I think regardless the E3 leaker knows stuff we don't, probably from someone we don't know, otherwise they wouldn't say "Wii Fit Trainer". Of the 3 unconfirmed characters, any number of them could have been lies that person made or lies their source said, or just wrong information that wasn't a lie, but the leak is without a doubt a legit leak.

Uhh.. how did you determine her moveset? There has been no pics of her moveset, and using previous games is no indicator at all. By that logic all the other characters would be really different.

The series has been rated T for teen since Melee. Upskirts are upskirts. They're girls. They wear skirts. Whoop de doo, I'm sure teenagers are mature enough to handle it.

The quality of the boss fight is hardly the point when we're talking about the main antagonist. I think you're missing some absurdly obvious points here and I don't know how I could explain them to make them more obvious than they already are.

And the niche I am talking about is magic users. We have two characters who would be considered 'magic' characters in Zelda and Rosalina, though it's mostly in Zelda with Rosalina being more summon-based or what have you. Palutena and Zelda both use a more light-based magic. We don't have a character who uses dark-based magic. And don't even get me started on the whole thing of "That difference doesn't matter". Because if I had a dollar for every time I have heard someone say an axe would be different from a sword in any way mechanically as opposed to aesthetically, I would have a good amount of money.

EDIT: How do you determine the moveset of a character who has abilities? I have no idea. You certainly don't look at what they are capable of and estimate would would come of it, that's for sure.

I imagine Palutena is the "under shorts" kinda girl; you know, like girls who wear short shorts under their dresses.

It's not too risque either, as Peach has worn very short shorts in various Mario sports games. Of course graphically none of them were anywhere near as advanced as probably even Smash 3DS, lol.

Besides, it's just a leg. You have one, I have one. It's not something that only one sex has. All I gotta do is shave my legs, and I essentially have big, bulky female legs (which fortunately aren't Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle thighs anymore, because I worked on endurance instead of bulk the last few years, lol).

Still, I don't see why anyone wants to see her butt or any of that. If you want that so bad, look it up, and stop bugging Sakurai for it. Perv the internet up in privacy, not in everyone's face.

I'm not talking much about the boss fight, but what does she have character wise?

She wasn't in Myths and Monsters and in the original, like I said, all she was was a huge wall. In Uprising, yes, she had actual character and personality, but for the entirety of the plot, she was mostly not a major factor after what, chapter 8?

Hmm....

I just noticed Palutena's belt in the second pic.

It doesn't loop.

Lol.

Although that could just be due to an early model.

LOL @ "I hope we can see Palutena's panties"

And this my friends is exactly why something will need to be done with that dress of hers... Either that or granny panties incoming.
Dude its gonna be a typical black bar, just like with the lyn assist trophy.

Like I said, short shorts under the dress. It's a common style.

My sister does it all the time, lol. She sometimes asks me for advice on what dress to wear, and she'll put it on (while wearing her short shorts) in front of me.

Making a moveset with magic is limitless and has endless possibilities. What are you on about? Its like saying Marth, Link, and Roy all have swords so they all probably will play the same. Thats not true, magic is even more varied. Just because you want a certain character doesnt mean it should be there, or is more likely to be there. Medusa would be interesting sure, but Palutena is a much more exciting choice imo

There's a lot of illogical "Palutena is too boring/similar" claims going on.
People can't think of an original moveset for Palutena so they assume nobody else can either and that she's a bland character.

Also, anyone notice the Starman on her belt? Probably already brought up.
I don't remember where, but someone looked at her artwork, and it's just a chain.

Anyone know how many dozens of fans have tweeted these Palutena pictures to Sakurai directly? I just want to be certain he's seen them. We have more luck getting a Palutena trailer tomorrow than a Twitter response from him about the leaks though.

If you can't even remotely grasp what it is I am talking about without jumping to some point where you think I am talking about playstyle, I don't think there is actually any point in me trying to have this conversation with you. It won't go anywhere whatsoever until you get some things figured out.

And either way this isn't the thread for that anyway. This is more about the leak.
