When they see that Smash DLC brings a certain amount of momentum, they'll surely follow up on it

I lol at everyone who were seriously adamant about Mewtwo releasing before March 31st. It just didn't make sense for him to be released before the deadlline to register the games, as then it would be no point to register both games by then for Mewtwo and wouldn't maximize Nintendo's sells for both copies.

Exactly.

The thing is Sakurai has made it pretty clear he is done with the game after Mewwo and he wouldn't want anyone else to touch it. I must say I would love to see more, and it would do great for Nintendo, but honestly Smash 4 is a complete game and Mewtwo, to me, is just the amazing icing on top.

BUT the thing is Sakurai doesn't own Smash. If Nintendo wanted to continue without him, they can. I have much respect for the man but there's no reason why the franchise can't go on without him. If Nintendo sees it fit, they can just build on what Sakurai created. The cool thing about post-Sakurai Smash would be that the successor will want to please the fans, so most of the things we asked for that Sakurai wouldn't do, he or she will.

Not necessarily. The successor could just include what they want to see.

Another thing that I like with Mewtwo's addition is that it will completely fill one more line on the CSS on the 3DS version. Imo, the whole upper screen should be covered with the characters' portraits, I don't like the black background sticking out.

A Smash Bros game not directed by Sakurai is possible but the thing is with Sakurai is that he had ways to get around certain issues like 3rd party stuff etc. Mewtwo is to test the waters for future dlc so if it goes well (and if Sakurai has the will to either continue working on the game or let someone else handle it) then we could see veterans/newcomers making an appearance in Smash 4. Although I honestly think there's only one spot left for another fighter on the screen (post Mewtwo release, there will be one spot left for another fighter)

Same. It's a great opportunity, and Nintendo's done it for Hyrule Warriors and Mario Kart 8 just fine BUT I'm not expecting it either due to the delicate balancing issues in the game. Maybe more DLC stages, but charachters, unlikely. *shrug* I really just want my Mewtwo

Sure, Disable and Confusion were hard to use effectively, but all his aerials were wicked, and Shadow Ball and Teleport were awesome. I would like to see his down smash hit both sides now, however.

Their track record for the Wii U has been spectacular when it comes to DLC. Stages I can definitely see happening, especially considering most of the Wii U stages are remakes of older stages. Would like to see Mewtwo get his own home stage along with the character, there aren't many Pokemon stages this time round.

But as long as we get Mewtwo I am satisfied.

Totally agree. His move set was good, just needed small tweaks to make it more viable.
