Nintendo didn't actually make Pokemon but have most of the rights
If they have most of the rights, doesn't that make them one of the owners? That would mean Pokemon still belongs to Nintendo...as well as Gamefreak and Creatures.

The point is that if you look at the way franchises are generally organized in Smash Metroid usually comes after Zelda.

Anyone got any ideas on what happened here?

https://streamable.com/0st7

I've watched it a lot of times and all I can think of is that DeDeDes hammer swing follow-through reflected the gordo back into confusion, so it was triple reflected.
Yeah, probably his hammer hitting the reflected Gordo back into Mewtwo's confusion, only to end up being... reflected back?

I don't think this person has the slightest idea what they're doing. Mewtwo's Teleport ledge-snaps, and it gives momentum at the end that allows him to ride the side of the stage upward to the ledge. It's not that difficult to recover with, at least, not in my experience. I've never had this problem. Also, Mewtwo has a wall-jump now. Never forget that!

This is a hilarious Vine, though.

I hate that teleport thingy, since it can screw up really much!

I dont believe thats the vine shows. Mewtwos teleport isnt the same as Zeldas/sheik since Mewtwos teleport doesnt go through "solid" stuff. if something is in the way he "launch" himself to another direction that is not intended to do! a great example (on the vine) is Omega Punch Out stage there the wall peaks out just a little, you are under it and teleport straight up, you will get fling around 45 degress to the side and unable to recover back!

I know its minor to mewtwos awesome recovery but it can screw up then you dont want it at most and I am angry that only mewtwos teleport have that flaw instead for Zelda and Sheiks

Zelda's totally does ride the stage into oblivion if you angle it badly. The way they work is that when they're
aimed at a surface they slide along depending on the angles of the travel path and the surface. This allows them
to slide up walls instead of having to aim for the ledge precisely.

No, I tested myself against Zelda's and Palutena's. While both Zelda's and Palutena's won't ledge snap when "travelling" the stage, Mewtwo's is the only Up-B which bounces off solid objects. Mewtwo is the only teleporter to have this happen when teleporting straight up for example.

I mean just look at the vine, Palutena's or Zelda's would not have missed the ledge snap on none of those.

I've even had Mewtwo bounce off of hitboxes (or that's what it seems). Like literally my oponent puts a meaty hitbox at the edge while I am doing a perfectly horizontal Teleport (read, no stage traveling; perfectly horizontal teleport). Mewtwo reappears next to the ledge but does not snap, he doesn't get hit either, instead he bounces off and dies. He bounces off when there's nothing to bounce off except the opponent's player. I have no idea honestly.

Did anyone else sent mails to Nintendo to show their interest towards Mewtwo and future DLC characters getting custom moves? I have high hopes for them being added in the next update but I'm still worried that Sakurai's team just judged them flat-out disposable, something I fully disagree with, and that they would never be a thing in the long run... I'm sure I'm not the only one who likes custom moves and wants them for DLC characters as well, and Nintendo remaining silent about it would be horrible :< I think they should be as aware as possible about this concern.

Idk, I think the DLC characters not getting customs is Sakurai/Nintendo admitting that customs were just a gimmick. Especially with their unlocking method, I don't think they were ever meant to be part of the core gameplay..

Works fine imo. Could be faster and I wish you can attack out of it but I digress.

Been owning on FG recently though. Took some serious time practicing with Mewtwo yesterday and my rating went up by 10%.. recently got internet back last week and have been losing BAD with Mewtwo so I took some time to learn some combos and misc. tricks and wow, I fell in love with Mewtwo all over again. That combo'd USmash is a killer and his tail moves (despite me preferring to see new psychic-based moves) are amazing for racking up damage and interrupting enemy combos and fast characters. Say hi/add if you see me.. P~S~Y (()) ..still learning but I'm getting there. Got a couple of good players rage quit on me so I hope that's a good sign ;)

dont understand why people want mewtwo to be able to attack out of teleport since it would really break mewtwo.
not many characters can act out from UpB, the only one that can as I remember is Yoshi, Rob, Sonic, Megaman and Jr (Jr can only swing hammer and dodge tho) if character like Sheik, Diddy, Rosalina would be able to attack or do anything without falling into helpless state, they would be broken.

But Mewtwo isn't as powerful or balanced as Sheik, Diddy or Rosa. Mewtwo could use the extra edge. I've yet to see Mewtwo being talked about for tourneys. No one's taking him as seriously as other characters as far as I know. Besides, it's one way to counter the fact that he's large yet second lightest in the game. He's already broken being that light.

mewtwo doesnt need the attack out of teleport stuff to be good.
something that truly needs to be better (he is good, but can be better) is his overall attack speed and/or Lag. he has already the power but lacking speed. it only need like 3-5 frames less on many stuff

example:
If UTilt have faster end lag, it would be a great combo starter for example USmash, UAir or FAir
if UAir have faster end lag it could chain itself and/or to a FAir or NAir
NAir endlag in air is really fast since it true combo from NAir to FAir/BAir at lower% but Shorthop NAir doesnt autocancle, even if you can do a FAir on NAirs end on short hop (If I recall right), would be a beast if it autocancle.
DThrown would have a proper Follow up if the End Lag was faster.
if the Confusion was earlier End Lag so both can act the same time, a UTilt/FAir is a better string than its currently is.
faster Start up and less end lag on teleport, or at least I-Frame on the start up
Confusion shouldnt be count as a "Grab", meaning that you can Confuse someone and regrab them as a normal grab!
if I recall right, you can regrab with Diddy and Wario after their command grab

You know Sonic Boom the game? Pretty terrible.

Regarding the TV show however, I have to say that I love it and I'm not even a Sonic fan. It's hilarious! I've had quite a few laughs watching it. I know that it might have some stigma to it for being associated with the games but I think the show is pretty funny.

I've seen this explanation countless times when lurking on GameFAQs when people were complaining about Mewtwo's lack of custom moves, and if it's the reason why Mewtwo doesn't get custom moves then I don't buy it. I see customs as a fully legitimate game mode, just like 8-player Smash, special Smash, classic mode, etc. and not as "just a gimmick", and the lack of custom moves makes the character impossible to fully enjoy in a game mode I love.

I'm fine with DLC characters getting a generic guidance or screwing up the CSS, the former is a stage specific easter egg with no direct effect on the gameplay while the later is only aesthetic. That said, even though I admit customs as a whole are kind of gimmicky, there's no way I see them as a disposable gimmick which can just be ignored. By making this, you make the character strictly inferior to the rest of the roster for questionable reasons when playing on a given and honestly quite prominent game mode.

That said, as much as it makes me cringe, if it's really Sakurai's reason to not give custom moves to DLC fighters, then I'd much rather hear it officially rather than seeing Nintendo remain silent forever about it.

Not trying to be rude, I just wanted to share my honest feelings about the situation.

please dont forget that the SSB4 team is smaller now after the game has been released. now that they are doing more DLCs (like Lucas, Ryu and Roy), they want to complete all the DLC characters before the deadline and has their priorities!

also, have you ever created a character for smash? it isnt really a finger snap when you consider its alot of planing, animation, scripting and stuff.
even if in our thoughts thats "its a small move", on contrary it is alot to make just that move, especially if its a Special Action. the special action needs to corrisponde with the main file of the SSB4 battles, I am going to name it "Sora_Melee" (same name from brawl) and that can take a while especially then it needs to be perfect and not accentantly create bugs.

just an example but you get my point, it takes time and effort to create a character! now with a smaller team its even harder

not saying that mewtwo will not get custom moves in the future, but they possible have other priorites to do first
