Nintendo is really ****ing up Amiibo so bad.
I was planing to get all my mains but at this point I think I will just get Mewtwo.

I highly recommend reading this Kotaku article, for anyone interested in the likely reason that Amiibo (and 3DS's) seem to be in extreme shortage.
I also highly recommend this article to see the simplest form of the situation now.
Check out this site to see real-time Amiibo stocks.
I don't believe it's Nintendo that you all should be blaming for not being able to get your Amiibo.
There was a Port strike going on in Long Beach, California. Long Beach accounts for about "70%" of the United States' Asian imports, and Amiibo are apparently among them.
Basically, the United States is likely be missing an utter crapton of Amiibo that we were supposed to get, thanks to Long Beach, right now. As I said earlier, there was a port strike, but the next article I'll link will show that there's still severely bottlenecked shipping on products due to them being stalled so long.
Keep your head up! Since the strike is now over, this means that we should see an increase in imported products again, and we'll likely see more 3DS's and Amiibo in stock everywhere! According to that previous article, I'd say have at least 2 months of patience on you.
It'll be pretty hard to do Amiibo Scalping once we get them in our intended stock, finally!
TL;DR: Nintendo knows what they're doing. We're just bad at getting their products. Or it could all be a cover-up. *shrug*

It's where you can generate multiple competitive level pokemon without having to go through the hours of breeding for IVS, egg moves and natures that it takes for only one pokemon.
Nintendo patched it in one of the updates around 2 months ago but I haven't updated because genning is super useful/convenient as a competitive battler.
Sacrifices have to be made for lord Mewtwo though.
They will find a way around it. Always will

Yea, I am not too big on the grinding aspect of games in general. I used to play WoW for a really, really long time and I think I was one of the few players who never grinded or farmed at all. I basically survived on being good and getting stuff others would give me just so I could keep going.
I imagine it was annoying for my friends, but honestly I hate having to spend hours on something incredibly boring just so I can "access" the fun parts (I hated grinding for customs in this game for example).

Yeah, I hate grinding, as well. It's just so frustrating and boring. I personally think that Sakurai should have made Customs much easier to unlock, such as by making repeats impossible or by including a Custom Shop of some sort. I haven't even unlocked all of the Custom moves yet. I pretty much unlocked the Customs for the characters I use, and then I waited awhile before grinding for a specific character's again. I don't think I'm that far away from getting them all, though. Rest assured, however, that the second Mewtwo comes out, I'll grind for his Customs until I've got every last one, assuming they're not unlocked from the start.
So, other than the rumor about the Meta Knight amiibo being discontinued, what'd I miss?

Customs can go to hell with the way they were implemented.
I don't want to rely on ****ty RNG rolls to get a specific move I want.

I only care about unlocking customs for my mains, even then I only care about the ones I use. And screw equipment.

If you have a set for Crazy Orders then do Crazy Orders until you have about 250-300 customs. Always pick the big franchises first. Then just do either Allstars or Trophy Rush with the remaining chars.
Depending on your skill and the character you're using Trophy Rush might be faster than Allstar and vice-versa.
All I want to do is AT LEAST test with Smooth Lander. Even then there isn't a nullifier to it so :/

They really did make unlocking customs unnecessarily time-consuming/not fun. If I'm playing as Luigi and I'm playing Classic Mode in order to get Luigi's customs, I don't understand why I'm getting a repeat of a custom I already have and/or some random custom for Dark Pit or WFT.

Right? I hope they lessen the lag with this upcoming patch because it makes Lucario a sitting duck for 1 vs 1 matches. In other words.. useless.
Exactly.. They could have just made it so that it wouldn't do as much damage or something. That lag is unnecesary. Talk about broken!
To be fair though, by Monday you'll get Mewtwo vids from Japan.

I just got more than 30 turns of Crazy Orders with 4 tickets, two deaths by bad luck. I got 2 new customs, that's it. Pac-Man and Jigglypuff. I was Zelda the entire time

How many customs you get is dictated by how well you do and which customs you get depends on which franchise you select on every turn.
The faster you do it the more customs you get, the higher the turn the more customs you get. I was getting 16-20 turns even without any custom set. Once I had a set I was able to break 30 and 40 turns. I was getting 6-7 customs per ticket in about 20 minutes. I had to stop though once I was getting just repeats of ones I already had.

So I missed the whole talking about Lucario's recovery lag, but you guys so know sliding on the ground during the animation doesn't put him in the free-fall state and reduces the landing lag by like 60%?

Wait so you mean if you glide vertically adjacent to the ground it reduces the landing lag? I haven't updated my Wii yet so I haven't had the chance to practice.

Well apparently AUS gets it 17 hours earlier, which is 4 hours earlier than Japan. So we could potentially get videos at 7 AM EST/4 AM PT on Tuesday the 14th.
