I seriously hope Australia doesn't get trolled and we get our codes on the 16th just because we are on the other side of the world compared to America. It even said on our direct that we would get them on the 15th....

But then again, it would only make sense, other wise we would get the slightly earlier...

I'm hoping we do get it on our 15th. The Australia part of the Smash site says the 15th. Yet the date for when Mewtwo is available to buy is adjusted for time zones.

Maybe we should email or call Nintendo to find out how the emails will work. If they'll come in waves or whatever.

EDIT: How great would it be if gameplay trailers for the DLC characters download at the same time, and we could watch them from the movies section with the other reveal trailers?

It's probably going to work like it works for all other releases. How has the release dates been working until today?

Haphazardly. Sometimes releases are adjusted for time zones, some digital stuff we don't get until it's uploaded for Europe, some digital stuff we get a day before the rest of the world.

But it says 15th on our website doesn't it?

http://www.smashbros.com/en-au/characters/mewtwo.html

Right at the end of the page. Though the people that haven't registered will have to wait till the 29th. The 15th date is the same, thankfully. I would have been furious to have to wait a day longer its hard enough right now as it is waiting 8 days.

So from what I'm hearing us Aussies may get Mewtwo earlier than others. I don't want to be mean, but Awww Yeah! :happysheep:

That would be awesome. Kind of like a bit of recognition that they are equally regarded as characters to the original roster.

Well, you wouldn't really be waiting an extra day, since you would be waiting for the exact same time that we are. But now that it's confirmed you guys are getting Mewtwo first, it's your legal obligation to share as many videos as possible with us as soon as you can.

Why would we upload videos when we could be playing as Mewtwo though? :p

Seriously though, I won't be able to upload videos and stuff, but opinions and rough damage observations I can give.

But he also has too take things into account like move staling.
Also, I remember hearing that in training, some of the attack values are different to like, VS mode.

I wonder how the whole code thing will work in Venezuela (I must be, like, the only Venezuelan here, LOL). Since everything we get depends on how it works for the United States, I guess I'm getting my code when they do (especially because my Club Nintendo account says I'm from Florida, because it was there where I bought my Wii U and that's where I created my account).

... I want to move there so badly :(

I think certain people are because of the time zone situation. I'm not really sure.

Concerning Mewtwo, though; considering that he seems to have been buffed a lot since Melee, do you think that he could end up being a Diddy counter? Assuming his recovery is anything like it was in Melee, he'll also be pretty good at living, but his huge lag reduction and overall playstyle suggests that Mewtwo may become one of the best characters in the game (that USmash looks like it'll chain pretty well into other moves) this time.

Confusion's full-out reflecting of projectiles makes him a good canidate for Villager and Rosalina countering, too. Disable looks a lot better; it can't be telegraphed as easily and it may be able to be used out of a dodge, from what the trailer shows. Teleport looks a lot less dangerous to use offstage or onstage, and Shadow Ball is a lot faster than in Melee (or the footage was sped up, who knows). I'm still wondering if we're going to get a Femtwo alt, especially since the Final Smash involves Mega Mewtwo Y...but the fact that we haven't heard anything come out of Mewtwo's mouth makes me wonder if Mewtwo will even speak this time; it could be something akin to the Mewtwo from Pokemon: Origins, which didn't speak either.

Or the voice acting isn't finalized, but that's unlikely. :p

Still, Mewtwo looks like a really solid counter to many of the top fighters. If he isn't horribly light and floaty (which he doesn't seem to be from the gameplay footage we have), he could turn the metagame on it's head easily.

Voices are something that are added late into games is what I've heard.

You know, in all honesty...Diddy will probably get nerfed seriously hard in the next patch that's released on the 15th alongside Mewtwo.
Why worry about him any longer?

Yeah, I know Diddy'll probably get nerfed once the next patch arrives, but he's still a top contender at the moment; hence why I brought him up. If he does get nerfed when Mewtwo strikes back, then great! If he doesn't, it just means Mewtwo has more to contend with.
Still, I think Mewtwo may be a counter to the more projectile-heavy fighters, since Disable seems to be a lot better this time.

And if Greninja doesn't get nerfed in the Mewtwo patch, it'll be sweet irony. :p

I think it'll be midday. Nintendo has to generate 1000s of codes and if one timezone gets it first then people from other places can get it early which isn't fair.

I honestly hope Diddy doesn't get nerfed too hard. I'd be a shame if he isn't viable anymore.

Really, you could reduce the knockback of Up-air, and reduce damage and knockback on some of his Smash attacks, and he'd be fine.

Mewtwo will also be fine, but I doubt he'll be the high-tier killer that we all want him to be.

In the next patch, I'd also like to see King Dedede get more priority on his Gordo, and Ness have less PK Fire lag.

What? I want him to stay bottom tier...

:smirk:

I honestly don't care about tiers. If I like a character, I'll play him/her.

Well, I thought Diddy was cool when the 3DS version released, but I decided that he'd be the next Meta Knight, so I dropped him.

Heard Angry Joe wouldn't do Nintendo videos anymore. My reaction: So nothing has changed?
Put it this way.
Nintendo takes down Joe's praising of the Wii U.
EA keeps Joe's trashing of Battlefield Hardline up.

Other Youtubers lose revenue on their Nintendo videos as well such as RabbidLuigi with his DKCTF LP.

So,a little over a week until Mewtwo comes out. My plans are to download the new Pokemon Rumble game, play that for a week, then get Mewtwo.

I just want Mewtwo good tbh.
And he's kinda giving me feeling that he got a Sonic level buff.
Which would be perfect!

I heard about him doing a Mario Party 10 video, and besides, it's Youtube Copyright Problems all over again, Wiidude said it's easy to get your stuff back
