Concerning Mewtwo, though; considering that he seems to have been buffed a
lot since Melee, do you think that he could end up being a Diddy counter? Assuming his recovery is anything like it was in Melee, he'll also be pretty good at living, but his huge lag reduction and overall playstyle suggests that Mewtwo may become one of the best characters in the game (that USmash looks like it'll chain pretty well into other moves) this time.
Confusion's full-out reflecting of projectiles makes him a good canidate for Villager and Rosalina countering, too. Disable looks a
lot better; it can't be telegraphed as easily and it may be able to be used out of a dodge, from what the trailer shows. Teleport looks a
lot less dangerous to use offstage or onstage, and Shadow Ball is a lot faster than in Melee (or the footage was sped up, who knows). I'm still wondering if we're going to get a Femtwo alt, especially since the Final Smash involves Mega Mewtwo Y...but the fact that we haven't heard
anything come out of Mewtwo's mouth makes me wonder if Mewtwo will even
speak this time; it could be something akin to the Mewtwo from
Pokemon: Origins, which didn't speak either.
Or the voice acting isn't finalized, but that's unlikely.
Still, Mewtwo looks like a really solid counter to many of the top fighters. If he isn't horribly light and floaty (which he doesn't seem to be from the gameplay footage we have), he could turn the metagame on it's head easily.
