And if it weren't for the 3DS version, I and many others wouldn't have been able to play Smash 4 at all. Crazy, I know, but some folks don't actually have the cash on hand to go out and buy a $300 system and a $60 game. The only reason I have a Wii U at all is because it was a surprise Christmas gift. And even then I just barely got Smash Wii U in time for Mewtwo. Ice Climbers being cut is a shame, but honestly they're a lock for the next game. And Classic is MUCH better on 3DS anyway.

I find it hard to believe that the 'great hero' Giovanni was really so altruistic. This is the guy who murdered an endangered Marowak so he could kill her kids and sell their skulls on the black market.

I'd be thinking he would have his Melee colours at least, considering he has his Melee move set. I am also hoping that, although unlikely, his armour will make an appearance as well.

well he actually does have all his melee colours and his "Shadow Lugia" colour:

I'm thinking of a crimson colour, a pink one like Mew and hopefully an armour alt.

Wow, I could have sworn there were more colours in Melee. Huh.

But yeah, I think a Mew colour swap and a red one, as you said, would make sense. This would leave one more colour...ARMOUR?! (joking) Honestly it might be a greyscale palette in recognition of RBG maybe? I don't really have any other ideas.

Meh. I see where you're coming from, but I honestly don't care for a red costume. Mewtwo's orange costume is pretty much his red one, and since its such a vibrant shade of orange, it falls pretty close to red, especially compared to Melee. Also, since the orange costume turns Mewtwo's body a pale yellow color, I don't really care for a true yellow costume either. Now, if that yellow costume was an Alakazam-themed palette, then I'd be all for it, but otherwise, I'm pretty indifferent to a yellow or red palette swap. I'd rather have more visually distinct colors, like a black-and-white costume or a Mew-themed palette, instead of somewhat similar colors. That's just me, though.

a flaw in this whole thing: all of these other villainous teams HAVE been stopped by you, the protagonist throughout the games.

They were all stopped, yes, but by different trainers from different regions.
They could have all been stopped from the beginning had Red not disrupted all of Giovanni's plans.

That's like, Charizard-orange. I just want something that would turn his tail Scizor-red. I just think he should have one, seeing as literally every other character in the game has one, and I'd like to be able to have classic team battles sometime. And personally, I find Alakazam's colors to be kind of drab and unattractive, but that's just me.

I did like the shadow Mewtwo, but I'm kind of disappointed he didn't have any armor in the trailer. I'd be thrilled if his other two skins were his first movie armor, but I doubt we'll be that lucky

Wasn't it somewhere on these boards that someone made a prediction about Mewtwo's coloration, and it included a dark Lugia color swap as well as a gen1 Mewtwo coloration? Seems like the color pallets they have now bear a striking similarity.

Yeah I kinda won't be able to get a Wii U anytime soon. Luckily someone on my hall brought theirs and the coordinator on hall lent us his copy of Smash and let me register his and my games for Mewtwo.

Honestly, it'd be a pretty harsh way to go, if it happened, but I could somewhat see IC being DLC for the New 3DS + Wii U. They'd technically be unlockable on both game versions then (which was the main thing holding 'em back), but it'd effectively screw over those not upgrading portables.

Also, before the topic of palettes dies down before I even finish typing this, I'd say say some alt colors could be.

-GreninTwo (Sort of how like Greninja's white/purple-y skin reminds people vaguely of Mewtwo, this one could be vaguely colored like Greninja for lols)

-ArmoredTwo (I understand the previous two points probably would've been shown off in the trailer, but I won't discount it entirely. It's still Sakurai/Smash we're dealing with. The remaining colors might not even get shown and we'll be surprised on day one. It's a possibility. ;3)

and remember the rockets who tortured and killed a mother marrowak for its skull? which was very valuable? also, owning a casino is NOT a very legit thing. lots of mafias own casinos and pachinko parlors. also. being threatened at gunpoint for a silph scope WOULD kind of have them say no.
they are thieves specializing in pokemon poaching and gambling. mafias have them as fronts to seem like legitimate businessmen. they are bad. just like all the other teams.

i will give the rockets this: the original rockets didnt want world domination. to control gods, to destroy the world and build a new one for themselves. they only wanted money. and to silence those who dare speak against them. they are based on mafias in general. therefore, the most realistic of evil teams: money. through the exploitation of others.

Cape Mewtwo would be awesome, so would armor. But it's almost definitely not happening.

I was never a huge fan of the climbers, they wouldn't be enough to make me pay $200 for a brand new system when the one I've got's not even two years old. If they're the only N3DS exclusive characters, I could live without them until I get one.

plus the 3DS allowed Zelda/Sheik and Samus/Zero Suit to be separate characters. Which basically gave Sheik an actual kill move. People say it nerfed Olimar with only 3 Pikmin, but I think that's a buff seeing he can control the order the Pikmin appear, and his recovery got so much better.
