The info wasn't in the files for a long time, it was added in patch 1.1.0, which makes any suggestions that he was planned for base void.

And it's not Akira Toriyama's fault.
Go make your research, no one is pulling DB Fighters tournament out. It seems that tournament that removed DBFZ are tournament that aren't in the World Tour for DBFZ and are mad that their Tournament doesn't count. So they removed DBFZ.

It's the only special case as Shueisha are the one controlling the licence there. It's their fault.

Erdrick took pleasure in giving the idea that he did something wild that could have destroyed everything. Why should anyone allow this history of recklessness? But it gets a pass because Sakurai said so.

But Eight getting over Erdrick is more likely than the scenario that you present. And a lot of people doubt the former thing happening.

I should really pay attention to that show. I've seen it really casually, but since I've run out of things to watch that get my interest, I could give it a chance now. Didn't they have an episode with Sakurai recently?

Because Shuiesha, the owner of the Dragon Ball IP, is also involved. Shueisha is notorious for being incredibly strict on the Dragon Ball IP. It’s why TFS keeps running into trouble. Bird Studio just does the art for the series, so whether they even have their power to pull tournaments is questionable. Plus Bird Studio has no history of doing things like this, and doesn’t really have a reason to. Why would Toriyama care? It’s a theoretical possibility, but it’s rather unlikely.
Plus they could always just, y’know, ban Erdrick.

They did it with Meta Knight in Brawl, they can just do it again here if it comes down to that. It's nowhere near as big of a deal as you're making it out to be.

What are you trying to say my guy. It’s highly unlikely Bird Studio would have any problems in the first place, but even if they did and the scenario you propos ehappens, the competitive community would likely just come to an agreement to ban Erdrick. See brawl MK. The backlash would likely also cause bird studio to stop being strict too.
