Celica doesn't even use tomes to cast magic, has a signature sword, has a different frame, and comes from a game without weapon durability. There's no reason for her to be a Robin Echo.

I personally thought she could make a good Robin echo with these differences:

• She completely lacks the durability mechanic, HOWEVER
  • Her specials inflict self-harm (similar to Echoes/Gaiden)
  • Her physical attacks do more damage than the Bronze Sword, but less damage than the Levin Sword

Bam. Easy.

I agree with you there. Like yeah, Mementos is very important more than any palace, but it is one of the dullest choices possible. But oh well, here's to hoping we get some Futaba codec.

Okay yes that was my mistake there. Perhaps confirmed wasn't the right word. I should say the leak "alludes to" Erdrick and Mementos.

I don't believe in leaks. They're always BS and its irritating that people latch on to them enough to give LaxChris and Papagenos a career in talking about them.

I personally thought she could make a good Robin echo with these differences:

Most of their animations would have to be different because Robin is always holding a book, and they have a different body type thanks to Robin's big coat. Hell, this is part of the reason why Isabelle isn't an echo.

It also makes a ton of sense even if you disregard the leak. Persona 4 Golden was a Vita game, and if Atlus want's this version to follow suit on being a handheld, where else do you think they are going to go? The Vita again? It does not have nearly enough power for what they would want for the stylistic Persona 5, and it has been thoroughly crushed by now, even in Japan, where it held out for a long time due to how Japan valued presentation. That meant little anymore when the Switch came busting in.

It probably wasn’t as much of a surprise for us. And it’s still a wait and see for the 2ch leak that mentioned it.

People rumored P5 was coming to Switch, but Sega outright said it wasn't last year, actually.

The 5chan leak is what resurfaced it as probable, and then I and xenother went public about it being for sure. The details were not something people knew about previously, though.

That's why I'm not 100% sure on the Erdrick/Smash part of the leak. Though, it'd make sense considering they typed in the exact same format and when the thread was incredibly sparse and nobody was paying them attention. Seemed the same but there's always that tiny chance they weren't.

I think we need to see a proper unveiling of Joker.

If the stage isn’t Momentos (Memontos?) and Jack Frost doesn’t seem to pop up in the stage (or his moveset, I’m unsure) then it would damage it’s credibility.

But if it is right, then Erdrick might need to be expected.

Erdrick is already expected, not only because this leak. About it I also find extremely rare that those post were dividided in 2, if that guy had all those information, it would've been better to add them two in the same post.
Although I'm on the SMRPG-is-now-Owned-by-Nintendo-Theory so even if Erdrick is revealed I'll keep chering on my magical puppet til' the end. :3

The existence of P5R being a thing doesn't help a leak nor hurt a leak. It being a Switch exclusive might, though. We'll have to wait and see on that.

And even then, Mementos is still one of the most important locations in the game, with Jack Frost also being the SMT series mascot. It would be still impressive to get right, but it's still grabbing at the lowest fruit in my opinion.

We've known Atlus has been considering a P5 remaster for ages now.
We've known P5R has existed, and have been able to speculate on what it could be, for a year and a half now.

I think mementos is quite a logic choice regarding locations from P5, would say that having Jack Frost and other Personas in his moveset is something a little more involved considering that they could do his specials with Arsene but can't say if they can fill them with only Arsene. Would have been a bit more helpful if the poster added if there were more personas in his moveset (would be easier to validate afterwards).

That aside, I played P5 but didn't really liked the casino as much (it is the best dungeon in the second half of the game though). Can someone give me their reasons as to why they like it so much?

I'd be more interested as to why you didn't like it.

I personally liked it because it was the climax of the story up to that point, and it's right when everything goes to hell. Pancake man is around for that dungeon, and he's a fun character to mess around with, but also the music was fantastic, and generally I liked the chip mechanic and how it was able to create more intuitive puzzles not seen in P5, and especially moreso than the stupid ass spaceport.
