We lost half of our roof. Unluckier neighbors have two cars damaged beyond repair due to a massive downed tree. Also got power/internet issues that will continue for a week. The NMCP lost main power last night and downtown Portsmouth been majorly flooded; I was lucky to get home yesterday. Most of the news has been playing it down but it's been borderline disasterous in some areas.

yea, the weather is ridiculous.

The HRBT was taking on a bit of water, too. The surge was sending spray onto the bridge when it hit the pilings. Most of our lawn stuff is made of metal so luckily nothing ended up getting thrown across the neighborhood, and none of our fencing got blown over. A couple trees got downed, though. No power outages either.

Power and internet seem to be steady... for now. (jinx inc) The weird thing is that massive downed tree has taken multiple cables out and that is just three houses down from me. Insurance covers the roof luckily. Seems like hours spent in the yard and street cleaning up just this morning.

That's good to hear that your house is straight, Doug. I feel that I got off easy from the storm... Nothing happened here except high winds causing it to be extreamly unsafe to cross the Coleman bridge. There was a little flooding but nothing serious.

I'm down for smash today. How's the HRBT looking? Or the Monitor Marrimack(sp)? Yesterday work was so non-existant that they told me not to even clock in. Hopefully today I'll be able to do it again.
