Yayz, another tourney, another 1st

I went all sonic except for 2 matches as snake and 2 as lucario, i only won one with lucario though. Final match of the third set in the grand finals (since my brother knocked me into the losers bracket) had my sonic vs his wolf. I havent beaten his wolf for a looong time with sonic (I beat his snake, DDD more often). he gets a pretty large early lead. by his last stock, im on 70% but with an awful lot of grab spamming, spinshots and springs i finally beat him, living on 150% or something final stock :D

At least I'am in a Wi-Fi tournament also would it kill you for you to not be a total jerk and I don't john for no reason.
EDIT: I checked and no real tournaments in Orlando but nothing so I guess I have to stick with Wi-Fi... the lag is stupid so does anyone know a tournament in Orlando?

Im only the best in my state. I havent had many chances at all to play against other states best players but for the few i have, i can generally go pretty even with them. Also just coz i feel like bragging, at this lan party smashfest i took 1st place in brawl 1vs1, 2vs2, 4 player FFa and custom settings (fast speed, heavy gravity, 1.2x damage, mid / low tier only) tournaments Although i did use snake for the teams and FFA and ness for the custom settings tourney

Also fun to quote my TO (to the admin of the lan party)
"Sonic is like bottom on the tier list, until you fight this guy"

I don't know if I should john about my tournament, but I might as well, and THEN get backlash, rather than keep it to myself. I didn't get an ounce of sleep before my tournament (I woke up at 7:50AM Friday, didn't go to sleep until 10:45PM Saturday night), and I didn't eat since Friday afternoon (my only meal was at 8:00 PM after I left the tournament).

Johntastic, but whatever. (Sucks too, since I promised I'd sleep and eat right prior to the tournament. **** you Left 4 Dead for being too fun, and **** my cafeteria for not being open at 7AM on the weekends ;_; )

The host and several buddies of mine even said I fell asleep for ten minutes during the tournament while watching Hylian and Sethlon go at it in a friendlies, in front of the television right next to Hylian. Too good on my end.

With that said, my own personal predictions of my placement were completely accurate. I got 4th out of 28 Entrants.

4th - Puffball [Espy] (100% Sonic)

Oh yeah, I forgot to give Espy an incredible shoutout for being the only person capable of FALLING ASLEEP in front of a ROOM-WIDE SCREEN WHICH SETHLON AND HYLIAN ARE PLAYING ON!

So yeah, expect videos of both Sethlon (Falco) and PhantomX (Wario) 2-0ing me in tournament. Although to be fair, it went down to the last stock on all the matches except 1 I think. (Which is a shame too, since me and Phantom X went pretty much DEAD even in our 3-Liter Soda Match.

Forgot to mention, I did play Hylian's Diddy Kong several times in friendlies (I think he was saying he was picking up Diddy, but I'm not sure). Anyways, we went pretty even on the matches. I wish they were recorded. They were so full of awesome.

While Diddy is recovering, jump near the ledge of Final Destination, Banana drop, then spring drop, to quick edge grab.

Too...****ing...good.

Oh, and a lulzy match of me beating K Prime's Pikachu on Smashville by running the clock out by running away. XD

I'll get sleep, eat well, and do better during Final Smash 5, I swear it.

It's moreso evidence of my exhaustion during the tournament, rather than something bad I've done.

If anything, it was the my highlight of the tournament.

That means you arn't good enough or "known" well enough to be seeded.
Usually TOs do that on purpose to get people they don't think will do well out of the way.

Sad, but true.
At the last Brawl Esticle, 2 of the people I went with in the same car got paired up first round, while I and ASL were seed in the moderate bracket.

I had to play Chozen 3rd round of winners or something stupid, who has a really good ROB that has a lot of Sonic experience.

EDIT - X dude you really need to ****ing pick what the hell you want to do with you're results.

i got gayed in the worst way imaginable,

1st round, diddy player, really bad against space animals. i play fox, my z grabs and banana shines and down air punishments are completely on point, i think i 2 stock him on BF (banned FD obviously)
2nd round smashville, i play wolf, i dont know why, he wins, its pretty close but nothing cool happens
3rd round, i pick norfair, to discourage banana use, hes bad in general against spacies, so i go fox again, i decide to camp him out, were both at 1 stock, im at 60 something damage and hes at 80 something, im on the top right platform, he tries to jump up and hit me, i jump over him (im like spring distance above him) he up airs, i jump again...


AND I DIE.

FROM HIM BLOWING UP MY SECOND JUMP.

WITHOUT EVEN HITTING ME.

BULLCRAP.

rest of the story is boring. i get beat by a DK cause i never played the character before, and i was too dumb to

one thing i did learn tho.

ganons will CP pirate ship. its fun. they can ledge flame choke you into the water and you hit the front of the ship and get spiked.

Yeah, I've also heard from somewhere that a good nights sleep and moderate food consumption helps your mind perform more effeciently.

Then again, it's basic knowledge to me, as I do that before a major test for school.
And as I've said, I'm not going to let something like that happen to me for Final Smash 5. I'm going in with 8+ hours of sleep, and at least half a full stomach of a good breakfast.

Oh, and water, because energy drinks = sugar crash = no good [/jaleel white].

and had i played sonic i would have used my spring to make sure i got above him which means combined with his up air wind effect, i still would have died.

I knew about GaW's upair wind KO since July I believe. I should've shared it with you, but I was under the assumption that it was discussed in the GaW matchup with Sonic on the GaW Boards. Therefore, I believed that most Sonic mains were aware of it.

I also knew the DK thing, but that's because I've learned through WiFi experience with a moderate DK. That's why I don't rush the DK at the start of the first match, since most of the ones I play start out with Down B against my Sonic in friendlies.

If you get Ganon off of the level and into the water on Pirate Ship, spring drop his *** into a ship spike. It works on anyone, really.

And yes, fair does, indeed, **** Ganon.
