As an RPG though...if you get it SOLELY for RPG purposes, then look for something better.
However, we're all in the Sonic boards for a reason. Go buy it. Now.

For a Sonic game, it didn't suck.
It's fairly enternaining, though if you want a proper RPG experience you should be looking somewhere else.
Nearly all the music in the game was based off of old Sonic tunes, the music was really nostalgic and great.

If you want a real RPG get Skies of Acardia Legends on the GC (or Wii with a Gamecube controller). It's really TOO good.
