SNORLAX
I've never met anyone who actually liked Big's stages. This is why there have never been any fishing levels since SA1.

I'm fine with trying to appeal to a broad audience but fact be told, Sonic Adventure tries too hard. I prefer trying too hard over the minimalistic approach on the Genesis/Game Gear titles where there's hardly any difference, but it wouldn't hurt to ask to just have the concept broading itself mainly on platforming, would it?There was a little something for everybody. You gotta give them that.
Easy? ._.At the very least, fishing was easy. No broken mechanics or something and challenging if you really wanted to go for the big fish that aren't necessary.
What do you mean "minimalist approach"? You act as if it's abnormal for the games to have one type of gameplay. Not only is that completely normal even today, but that's how Sonic got started. It's not like they decided to deliberately exclude other genres, they made Sonic a platformer and then they changed up the formula in the Adventure games.the minimalistic approach on the Genesis/Game Gear titles where there's hardly any difference
How good/bad a character's gameplay is just as important as if we have to play with Turqoise, Sonic's long-lost cousin who was raised by whales.Which brings me to my main point: While I would want Nack the Weasel to appear in a Sonic Adventure 3, you guys are way too worried about the characters that would appear than the actual gameplay for each of them. You know, this partly messed up 06.
Sorry - If I may rephrase that:What do you mean "minimalist approach"?
But the gameplay is more important than the characters themselves. As proved by Sonic Rush, Blaze may not be the best character in the sonic universe but you'd be lieing to yourself to say it didn't play better than most of the more recent platformers. How good/bad a character's gameplay is just as important as if we have to play with Turqoise, Sonic's long-lost cousin who was raised by whales.
it seems like something sega would do...Oh, and Turquoise? Please tell me he doesn't exist...
You made a few mistakes, so I fixed them for ya, k?So in short:
Sonic - Hardcore speed-platforming.
Tails - Traditional jump-based platforming.
Knuckles - Beat 'em up.
Shadow - Sonic's with guns and explosions, but slower paced.
Amy - Following SOMETHING.
Rouge- Spy stuff, James Bond-ish.
I also love how the SA2 stage-select sound effect has been implemented. That was always my favorite sound effect in SA2, period. I'm getting really anxious for this and the possible reboot of Earthworm Jim this year.
The menu screen has a picture of the Special Stages as an available stage choice, and the layout is similar to Sonic 1's Special Stages. Granted, it's just a small picture, but it's better than being left in the dark.I also hope we have traditional special stages
Lol. As long as they just stick with what we see so far I'm sure the game will be just fine. I'm already 100% sure this is better than Sonic Unleashed, Sonic and the Black Knight, and Sonic and the Secret Rings combined.Just watch, it will be a normal Sonic game for the first level, and then you'll have to chase a chao or make a bunch of money or some other kind of RPG crap to get to the next platforming part.
The first levels of all the Sonic games 'look' good.
Really? I thought it he was going at a fairly good speed for someone who also has to hold a camera at the same time.
I've got to wonder where all these people live that don't have any tables in their house, or books, or any other thing they could balance their cameras on.Really? I thought it he was going at a fairly good speed for someone who also has to hold a camera at the same time.
I'm just taking his word for it.Don't worry, the player sucks as he had to hold the camera and play simultaneously, but I can by the physics tell the speed level will be faithful to the originals or near faithful.
I was referring to how the physics of the game work and how Sonic often got stuck in the middle of a ramp, where in the Genesis games he would be falling/rolling down.Hey, I'm not the one who said it
I'm just taking his word for it.
I remember there was always one loop in particular on Chem. Plant in Sonic 2 that I always got Sonic teporarily stuck on the uper-right side of the outside of the loop....I was referring to how the physics of the game work and how Sonic often got stuck in the middle of a ramp, where in the Genesis games he would be falling/rolling down.
Even though it was glitchy as heck I liked it tooI liked Sonic '06.
Go figure. ._.
Well if you look at when he selects the zone, it brings up 3 acts and the boss fight. It looks gorgeous but I hope there are more than four zones in the final product. Also, let's go back to 3 acts instead of 2.
