A brand new Mario & Luigi game was the last thing I expected from a Nintendo Direct, and here not only is there a brand new one in spite of Alphadream being shut down, but it's also the freaking opening announcement of the Direct.

Also, a Legend of Zelda game where Zelda is finally playable and the main protagonist + a Metroid Prime 4 trialerand a release date, some really solid remakes and ports of older classic games and a lot of surprisingly good standalone and Indie games as well.

Yeah, this Direct was awesome.

The very idea of those games getting a modern release in this day and age, 11 years after MvC2 was pulled out of PS3 and 360 because licensing expired and was ever renewed is actually insane and after the "rousing success" of Infinite, many thought the Vs. series was just done...

That in itself is already mindblowing but it's also first announced on a NINTENDO DIRECT which is honestly not the first place I'd expect.

A lot of the other announcements are crazy but honestly, this one takes the cake. I'm sure the entire FGC lost their ****ing **** at this.
