He then tells her that he wants to introduce her to a personal friend of his, an M-41A pulse rifle, 10 millimeter, with an over-and-under 30 millimeter pump-action grenade launcher. He helps Ripley hold the gun up and aim it, while also instructing which part of the rifle serve which function and as well as how to safely aim and reload the magazine. She gets the hang of it quickly, so Hicks tells her she's ready to rock and roll-

-When she asks about the grenade launcher, he tells her she may not want to mess with that, but Ripley simply grins and tells him that since he started this, he needs to show her how to use every feature of the gun, insisting that she can handle herself while carrying and aiming the gun with as much confidence as she carried the flamethrower in the first movie. Hicks, clearly impressed, admits that he's noticed-

When Ripley asks the Gorman how he's feeling, he answers that he's alright, but must have had a concussion, calling it one hell of a hangover. He then looks down with an expression of a regret and tries to apologize to Ripley for his failures in the earlier mission, but Ripley simply cuts him off by just bluntly telling him "Forget it" and walking past him-

-Gorman is visibly ashamed, but Burke appears more annoyed, stays silent and just walks off, while Gorman walks further into the base and notices Vasquez down in the hallway, who still looks somewhat unhappy with him but otherwise remains fairly stoic-

With limited time to escape, Bishop works as quickly as possible, and soon successfully makes contact with the marines' primary ship, allowing him to remotely launch the secondary dropship and pilot it to LV-426-

Ripley looks around cautiously for a few seconds...but one of the Facehuggers climbs up some other furniture and jumps at her, trying to latch onto her face. Ripley narrowly throws the creature away over the bed while Newt wakes up in terror-

-Ripley drags Newt away from the parasite before flipping the bed upside down and towards the wall in an attempt to crush or trap it, to little success as it manages to avoid it and simply quickly crawls away unharmed a few seconds later. Ripley soon discovers that they've been locked in the room, so both she and Newt start slamming their hands on the glass panes in the room and shouting for help. Unfortunately, the camera soon pans outside to reveal that the room is soundproof, preventing anyone from hearing them, but then Ripley remembers the security camera she told Newt about, and tries to get everyone's attention by waving at it and calling for help from there. At the security room, several monitors of camera observing different rooms are shown while everyone else is talking about the current situation. While the one displaying the hospital bedroom and Ripley is shown, Burke discretely shuts it off before anyone else can spot it, not even saying a word afterwards, making it clear who was responsible for freeing the Facehuggers in the first place-

-Unable to call for help or get anyone's attention, Newt asks Ripley to break the glass, who agrees and tries to break it with a chair, but it only bounces off of it, proving too sturdy to shatter. When that fails, Ripley finally gets the idea to try setting off the fire alarm, holding up her lighter to the sprinkler system to activate it and set off the alarm. It works, activating the room's sprinkler system alerting the entire base, with the marines of course initially beleiving that there's a fire in the room and rushing to Ripley and Newt's aid-

-Shortly afterwards, however, the facehugger ambushes Ripley against and nearly latches onto her face, even after she throws several obstacles in it's path to try and slow it down. Ripley struggles to hold the parasite away from her face as it gets a hold of her throat, while Newt screams in terror...until the second facehugger is shown climbing up some furniture behind Newt. Thankfully, Newt hears and notices it in time to act, and manages to temporarily trap it with some furniture, but it's evident that they don't have much time to fend them off on their own-

-By the time Hicks, Vaquez, Hudson and Gorman arrive at the scene, they immediately notice that there's an entirely different emergency going on and try to get into the room. Hicks orders them to shoot at the window to weaken it, and Vasquez and Hudson oblige, damaging the glass enough for Hicks to jump into and break through the window, rolling as he lands while the other three marines quickly follow-

-The parasite sitll proves extremely strong, as even Hicks' Vasquez and Gorman's combined efforts aren't enough to immediately pull the facehugger away from Ripley or remove it's grip on her neck, while the facehugger that Newt trapped quickly starts freeing itself. Hudson rushes over to Newt's aid, pulls her behind him to shield her from the threat as gunfire, and throws the facehugger away before opening fire on it with his pulse rifle, tearing the facehugger to shreds-
